I was disappointed…read more I just moved to Arlington Heights and needed to find a new nail salon. I came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I was easily able to make a same day appointment. When I arrived, no one was there and the shop was locked! I waited a few more minutes & called the shop and they said someone would be there soon. I'm guessing this place only has someone there if they have a scheduled appointment - however it definitely frustrated me that my nail tech was late. Once inside, I was impressed with the color selection and how nice and clean the salon was. The tech did a great job on my gel manicure and my pedicure. However, since I was the only one there she rushed me to leave and didn't check if my toes were dried- so by the time I got home all of the polish was smeared. I tried calling to schedule a time to get it fixed however never received a call back on the voicemail I left.

However, once you get inside the vibe and aesthetic is calming and Zen-like between the plants around, the coloring palette, and other touches I would say somewhere around Zen-Green-Homey are the main themes that come to mind. The customer service was unlike I have ever had. Since it was a slow day the owner was the one working and no other workers or customers were there so it was a bit disconcerting at first but I quickly got over this because her skills and service were top notch. We had a great conversation and the owners skills, service, attention to detail, etc. were the best by far I have ever had. I highly recommend to all and please also tell your friends and family.

By far the most underrated and low key nail salon I have ever come across…read more Let me start by saying my mom has been going here for years. I came with her when I was younger for my first pedicure but totally forgot about this place. I've been on the hunt for the best pedicure in town and have tried multiple nail salons but they just weren't it when it came to pedicures. Then my mom suggested Grace Nails. The technicians here are just something else. Beyond hospitable, hard working, sweet, and so attentive. I have never been to a nail salon that goes above and beyond like they do here. I got the French pedicure ($30) which included a hot stone massage on the calves and feet. The massage chairs here are the comfiest chairs ever and the massages the technicians themselves do are amazing. Note: they do not do acrylics and only accept tip in cash. I HIGHLY recommend this hidden gem. You won't be disappointed!

I removed the polish first from my left toe and when I saw the fungus thought it must have been introduced when she cut my cuticle and it bled. But there is even worse fungus (dense white coating) on my other toe. I wonder if it could be from the 'quick dry' coating she put on and then charged me for without telling me it would cost. Or, is it some type of cleanliness issue? I have NEVER had any type of fungus on my nails. I will never return to this establishment.

But I felt that for the amount that was paid (170.00) the service was lazy and services are offered for profit and not for skill. The nail tech said that completely removing the builder gel with prior gel color would be a new set lol. He left me with ombré nail beds let me know a lot. He treated my gel overlay like acrylic smh. Also, the cuticles were not attended to or the natural nail bed. Then the nail tech wanted to argue with me about color. Im telling someone 6 times what I want - knowing that many artists have and can complete the task- is insane. Also expressing that I wanted alternating colors and an artist telling me I can only pick two is also insane. I've been trying to save time by staying in the suburbs for self care but it looks like we're going to have to go to the city. The design was pretty. But the service and nail care was sub par. I also had to get clear on the price which was another task in itself And there are too many salons that offer exactly what you're looking for , with great service and don't skip parts or nail care to rush you out of your service in an hour or 90 minutes. So I'll just go to Butterfly Nails or indie nail techs at this point.

There is a large display of colors to choose from, including cat eye polish and I think I saw chrome polish too. The salon is clean, bright, and relaxing. They were able to get me in within 25 mins of me calling and I appreciated it! The gentleman on the phone was friendly and helpful. I got a text right away confirming my appointment. I've been going to various salons for manicures for over 30 years and First Nail Spa is way up there in amazing service! My nails look fabulous! I went in with Gel-X nails on a few fingers, a couple of cracked natural nails, and no-chip polish on the rest of my nails. Everything was quickly and carefully removed gently. She took her time caring for my cuticles and nails! The attention to details was great! I walked out with strong, beautifully polished nails and moisturized hands and cuticles! This salon is 5 mins from my house and I decided to check it out based on reviews. The shop is clean and well maintained with a good selection of regular and no chip colors. No chip has been my preference for a long time so that is what I went with. The work is awesome, the second time I went to them, I threw out a design I wanted (learning some places really don't do designs for no chip) and they really put a lot of heart into it! I walked away a happy client. My first no chip was $45 and the second $50; a little pricey but again, the work was awesome in my opinion.
