Writing a review because I've gone here twice now and have been really impressed by the work here. I've been going to my nail tech in the city for years but recently have not been wanting to make the drive. This salon is 5 mins from my house and I decided to check it out based on reviews. The shop is clean and well maintained with a good selection of regular and no chip colors. No chip has been my preference for a long time so that is what I went with. The work is awesome, the second time I went to them, I threw out a design I wanted (learning some places really don't do designs for no chip) and they really put a lot of heart into it! $35 for the quickest, quietest, most unenjoyable pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure barely said two words to me other than the occasional grunt for me to bend my leg or move my foot in the correct position. I understand that with Covid it's difficult to be efficient and personable but I was the only person in the salon and felt like I was inconveniencing the two women from being able to watch their TV shows. The funny thing is that I have a normal place I go to all the time and absolutely love but I thought I would try to help out another business and go somewhere new. Lesson learned I will be sticking with my usual place with people that appreciate my business, money and that actually do a good job on my feet. Overall I'm giving this a three out of five because I did get a pedicure, they had a great selection of colors to choose from, they were sanitary and had me wash my hands as soon as I walked in the door and some work was done on my feet. I didn't ask for the gentleman's name who did my nails - but HOLY GUACAMOLE, he was freaking fantastic! I like my nails super short and I know that it can be hard to file them down into a shape; the gentleman asked me how I wanted them shaped and I was taken aback. I asked him to make them square, if he could, and he surely delivered. Every time I ask the nail technician (at different nail salons) to file my nails into a square shape, they always tell me they can't because the length of my nails are too short. He also got every part of my nail covered, I hate when nail salons leave the sides of your nails unpainted. Overall, SUPER happy with my nails - the gentleman really did an awesome job and I cannot praise him enough. I walked out looking like a hand model (LOL) because of how great he filed and painted my nails. I've been to plenty of nail salons before but this is definitely my new, go-to spot. I decided to get my eyebrows waxed since I was already there and finished getting a pedi. I wish I didn't. I did not catch the lady's name who did my eyebrows but I wish I did. She did such a poor job, I have never had anyone mess my eyebrows up like this. The most upsetting part was that when I told her she messed up and waxed way too much off she blamed it on my eyebrows instead of apologizing. How is it my fault you can't wax eyebrows? I would think someone would tell you they aren't able to do a service. It was like her first time doing it. My eyebrows aren't bushy to begin with, I just needed a clean up.. you could still see my shape. Absolutely the worst manicure I have ever received here! I will be ISO a new nail salon going forward. The experience prior to this one I felt as of the pedicure was subpar and rushed but I was determined to go one more time thinking it may have just been an off day, still had dry rough skin on heels and feet and nails were not cut and filed evenly. This time it seemed that more effort was made for the pedi and I was feeling a little better about the service I was receiving except the tech moved the seat so far forward that it was uncomfortable for me and I felt cramping from time to time in my calves while she worked but I suffered through it. I thought you were supposed to feel pampered and relaxed when getting a pedi not cramped and uncomfortable. Pedi done.... On to no chip mani. The whole time during the mani the tech was talking with the other tech about God knows what since I did not understand any of the conversation. I think the only communication she had with me was to ask if I wanted nails cut and whether I wanted them square to which I answered both yes. You can see in the photos that we ended up with some square, some rounded and some angled along with sloppy polish, something stuck in the polish on one nail and a scabbed cuticle from horrible trimming. I have never had anyone cause my cuticles to bleed on my fingers until now and it is really painful. This ends of my nails were not polished with it overlapping underneath so they look gross and dirty. I am thankful that it was my free mani after filling my loyalty card so I only had to pay difference for it being no chip (even though I never get anything besides no chip) I will probably be getting my nails redone sooner than normal because they are embarrassing, I get my nails done so they look nice, if I wanted them to look like crap I would save the money and do them myself! I've had my fair share of different nail salons and I've never seen a place like this. It was my first time here! I loved how they used plastic liners for their pedicures. Clean tools, clean nail polish bottles. Each station had their own little waste bin so there's less clutter on the communal floor. Each station had all the tools they needed so they did not have to leave me unattended to look for them. The lady was very nice and meticulous. Some people think that pedicures does not have to be done "perfectly" because the customers can't see their toes well from the chairs or busy doing other things but I pay attention and watch them all the time. She was very careful and made sure the polish on the brush was not too goopy. Unfortunately, this salon does not have services for acrylic nails but I think that's why the air in there was clean. The air is not filled with acrylic dust everywhere. I also noticed an air purifier which I think helps too. There were two big TVs so customers can enjoy a movie while getting their nails and feet done. They put on the subtitles so they didn't have to put the volume on so high. Very affordable! And they also have a rewards programs I only got a pedicure but I am looking forward to visiting again for other services! :) read more

Honestly, I'm a little surprised that Perfect Nails has such high ratings on Yelp. That was the main reason why I made an appointment for a no-chip, that, and it is literally around the corner from my house. Anyway, I made an appointment (through Yelp) for yesterday after work, and was pretty taken aback that when I arrived there was no one there, except for the 2 employees. No other patrons. That made me a little nervous. Granted, the girl who did my no-chip did a fair enough job, the color is even and there are no bubbles, but the whole experience was just weird. It felt rushed, maybe because I had cut my nails down at home first (it had been a month since my last manicure - a dip which lasted all that time) and soaked off the majority of the dip myself. She didn't do too much work on my cuticles, but they look fine, so I guess she did what she needed to do. What was really off-putting, and probably the reason why I won't be running back, is the other employee who was not working on anyone at the time. I'm pretty sure even my nail tech was annoyed with her. She was on her phone the whole time, talking audibly in her native language. Then, she decided to sit down in one of the pedicure chairs and have a massage, while "oohing" and "aahhing" really loudly (think Chris Farley into an oscillating fan in Tommy Boy) while the shiatsu was pounding on her back. Then, she started to eat something messy. It was not the relaxing experience I was hoping for. Toward the end of my service, two girls came in for mani-pedis, and one asked for a full set. Be advised that this salon does not do acrylics. They said they had called ahead, so this girl must not have specified over the phone what type of service she wanted. The employees were honest and upfront that they did not have the capability to do acrylic, but offered her no-chip instead. The two ended up leaving, and neither of the employees there seemed sad to see them go. I don't know how they stay in business, especially since I believe they just opened last year. At the end of the day, my nails no longer look ratchet and I was in and out in 45 minutes. I'll keep looking for a place near home for a more relaxing experience. This was not the 5 star yelp experience I was hoping for based on other Yelp reviews. read more

I'm seriously so glad I live so close to Perfect Nails. I went there for the first time last month and had a great manicure, so I went back today to get a no chip mani and regular pedi. Since my appointment was one of the last ones, there was one associate working on my feet and another associate working on my hands. I felt like royalty! Both ladies were so gentle, but did a great job cleaning up my cuticles and nails. The pedicure chairs as well as the manicure chairs are very comfortable and the employees always have a funny Netflix show on to keep customers entertained (with really nice TVs at that!). Everything was so relaxing- this will definitely be my permanent salon! Top notes: 1. They keep it really clean here! The pedicure tubs are lined with a fresh cover for each customer, which I've never seen before. I've seen each associate wash and sanitize both their tools and their hands, which is always reassuring. 2.
