We have been going to Envy Nails for years now. This salon is quiet and always does a nice job.

They do a great job and really take the time with your nails! I would highly recommend them.

Love it here! I always come for an affordable pedicure and the ladies are wonderful. I had Katie last time and she was very professional and gave a great pedicure. The massage chairs are so relaxing and the room was nice and clean! Can't wait to return! read more

The spa pedi includes a "jello-like" warm foot bath that is moisturizing and so luxurious. Beautiful clean relaxing shop with friendly and professional technicians. Highly recommend read more

I am very pleased with the manicures I have received....very clean shop and the girls are very nice.

I got a gift certificate for my birthday . Never been here. Tucked in a tiny strip mall. Very nice clean shop, go a no chip mani pedi by Joy. It took a while to get the right shades for my tropical vacation. The girls at the shop helped me to find what color I wanted, and glitter top coat. I'm picky because I work in the beauty, industry but they were patient with me. Bonus neck warmer, massage chair, nice leg and hand massage by Joy. Looks so pretty, I will return! read more

After the new owner, turned out to be my favorite nail salon! The staff is super friendly, the service is always top-notch, and my nails turn out perfect every time. Super hygienic and clean too! Highly recommend! read more

Last Saturday I had the worst mani EVER at another place. Today I went to Envy Nails & JOY saved, fixed and cleaned up my natural nails! I love my nails and was really mad when that womqn last week butchered them then finished them off with a horrible no chip mani. So now they'll have to regrow which they will and look pretty in the meantime Joy is definitely my new and hopefully permanent nail tech! She's great and spent a lot of time on them. I appreciate her hard work! read more

This is the best place for nails! Joy is my forever person! Everyone in this place is kind and does a wonderful job. Thank you so much!

I called and asked if I needed appointment. They told me no. I walked in asked for a fill. They lady yelled at me from across the room saying they don't do fills. So don't go here if you want a fill. You'll get yelled at. read more

Everyone who works here is so kind and great. They always do a great job and I've never had a pedicure last so long. I messed up one of my toes with putting my shoes on and they fixed it the next day with no problems. Love this place. read more

Very nice inside and the people are so friendly. Got a manicure for $15 and a great mini massage. The woman that did my nails took her time and was so polite and always smiling. read more

Recently, tried Envy. I wasn't really impressed. My pedicure was fine but the polish chipped off within a week.

Joy and the staff do a beautiful job every time!! This is my favorite nail place! Thank you Joy (and Gloria!)!

I just got my first no chip here and I am disappointed. Pros: friendly, clean, variety of color choices. My cousin got a pedi and it looks really good. Cons: The manicurist did not do anything to my cuticles, which I needed. There are bubbles in the polish on almost every nail and overall it looks very sloppy :( *edit: one of my nails has already started to chip 2-3 days after getting them done! read more

Envy Nails, what's happened to you?! This place has been my go-to mani-pedi spot for YEARS. They were head and shoulders above all other nail salons in the area (including two I would pass on my way to come here). But in the past year or so, the staff has completely changed. I admit this review is a little overdue, but my first absolutely terrible experience was last December. A woman doing my toes didn't even know how to file. Then the polish was bubbly and terribly sloppy. I could have done a way better job myself! I blamed it on her being new, and while I was extremely frustrated at the experience, I wasn't ready to give up on Envy Nails. Then, just before a trip to Paris, my mom and I came for French manicures (haha clever, right?). Not even kidding, I was in TEARS in the salon at how terrible my toes looked. The shape had been butchered by yet another incompetent newbie, and the polish was streaky. I declined to continue with a manicure too, and ended up at a different salon that was luckily open in the few hours before I had to leave for the airport. I made the mistake of coming back last summer and it was still just a mess. More recently, my mom came to use my free manicure punch card I didn't even want to use, and she too echoed the unfriendly, poor quality sentiment I'd felt building for a while. Too many new people, too much disorganization. I've moved on to another nail salon in the area, and I would suggest others do too. Envy Nails, I miss what you used to be :( read more

Came here for the first time yesterday. Reasonable prices for mani/pedi - $35 (compared to city it would $40+). They are also open until 7:30pm and on Sundays. Since I work in the loop and live blocks away, this makes it a perfect option since I don't get home until 6-6:30pm and most nearby nail salons won't take me as they close by 7 and none of the others are open on Sundays. They also have a punch card, get 10 manicures - get 11th free or $10 towards another service. Can't beat the prices, quality or service here! read more

Love this place. All the ladies in my family come here. Mani/pedi very reasonably priced and they do a great job

Michael was my nail stylist he slayed. He used files to shape my nails just like i wanted and my cuticles were taken care of prior to my gel fill. You pay for good service and Great service is what i got. Certainly bringing the girls next time read more

Joy is amazing! She remembers her customers and is sweet as can be! I love Envy Nails pedicures!

I've been going here ever since I moved to the area. Will never go to another mail place again! Every single lady is friendly, they take their time and never make you feel rushed. They take excellent care of your nails by never using motorized tools and always having a gentle touch. Pedicures include a mini hot stone massage and manicures include a mini back/shoulder massage. My no chip manis are perfect every time! read more

Liked this place but lots of new staff. They change people doing your pedicure in the middle so 1 time I had 3 different people. Don't care for Carol. Very light touch that you could barely feel the massage. And she didn't get the rough spots. Getting disappointed going here read more

Been coming here since it opened. Walked in for 2 manis yesterday afternoon. Immediately asked if we had appts, no we said, ::eye roll from nailtechs::... so walk-ins not welcome? Nailtech took me. No chitchat. Wouldn't even look at me. Asked for my nails rounded. She made them square. Asked please can you round them. ::eye roll from nail tech::. Asked for a little design on 1 nail of each hand that I had a picture of on my phone. ::that's $5 eye roll and head shake:: the kicker is after they rushed us they ran in back. There was no one after us. We have been going here since Joy opened the place over 5 years ago. Needless to say it has really gone downhill since it opened. Will not be back. The last few times were not so good. This was the last straw. So sad this used to be our go to place and Joy was awesome!! Really disappointed. read more

Joy & her staff are AMAZING! I don't live in the area, but when I'm visiting family I always try to squeeze in time for a mani/pedi here. They don't skimp on quality or time with each client. The regular mani/pedi includes hot stone massage, exfoliate, paraffin on your heels, hot/wet towels & a back massage while your nails are drying! Excellent service & prices! read more

This is the place I end up going to fix the bad job done by other nail places. They have increased the number of no-chip colors offered and now they have a lot to choose from. All of the ladies who work there are very nice and they have all done a great job with my nails. I keep going back because, at least in my opinion, I think they are the best nail place in Palatine, albeit a little more pricey than the others. But you get what you pay for read more

Cute place, very friendly. They do a great job but you pay for what you get and their prices are higher then most on acrylic nails.

If there was a zero star rating thats what I would give. Walked in there 10 minutes before closing. Right before even entering the door, me and my mom were looked at in a very unpleasant manner. I asked if they could do two pedicures and the lady at the register didn't even look up at me to say anything. She was very rude no manners, so I asked again and she said we close at 7 and didn't even apologize or suggested to come back the day after. Very rude, they need to learn how to have manners for running a business. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! They are kind, courteous and pay attention to detail. VERY relaxing atmosphere!!!!

Ditto everything I said before -and wait- there's more! A few weeks ago, there was a driving rainstorm while I was there. Joy and staff actually walked clients in and out of her salon under the protection a HUGE umbrella to/from their cars. Really, who does that? Someone who cares! read more

Consistently wonderful manis and pedis. Professionally skilled, friendly, clean. Thank you Joy, Gloria, Ellie. You are all wonderful.

I needed a last minute manicure and not knowing the area, stopped in at Envy Nails. They immediately took me as a walk in and were very friendly and service oriented. Ariua was so nice and professional. She did a great job on my manicure and it's lasted all week-a rarity for me! I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again and highly recommend it! read more

I have been going to Envy Nails since they opened eight years ago. Joy has been doing my no chip manicures and pedicures. She is an artist and a perfectionist. She always makes me feel special and I enjoy a relaxing experience every time. Joy treats everyone with respect and I would never go to any other nail salon. Thanks Joy! read more

Envy Nails is my favorite nail salon in all of Palatine. I visit frequently and I am happy each time I visit. A mani / pedi for $35 bucks is a great price. The whole place is clean, and you can see the girls wipe off and clean the foot area in the pedicure chairs. You can see they use clean instruments and towels as well. The staff is very friendly each time I visit. Every time I get my nails they are perfect. I highly recommend this place! read more

I have had mixed experiences at the salon. This used to be my go to place for pedicures but their inconsistency will keep me from returning. I went in with a friend for a pedicure this evening and it was very rushed. The lady spent maybe 20 minutes on my feet and toes. She did not scrub them thoroughly and the paint job was not done well. My friends pedicure started 5 minutes before mine and lasted about 20 minutes longer than mine. Due to the inconsistency in service I will not be returning. There are many better salons in town that will treat you better and provide you with better service. read more

I had a bad experience at this salon. I wasn't happy to go there after seeing the bad reviews on yelp but it was the only one available so i took the risk. Gloria was doing my french gel mani and i asked her if she could make a pink flower like in the picture i brought. She said yes. It was horrible! My 4 years old can do better. I decided i will give her a easier flower but that was the same ugly like the first one. Even the color wouldn't match. I was so disappointed. Then she exclaimed"you know what...i do not want you to stay here the whole day" Excuse me, what? She cannot do her job and she's acting like this? I asked maybe they have flower stickers and other lady was helping me.not her!!!! Shame on you Gloria!!!! By the way, about the price, 35$ is the gel mani+ 5$ for french and she said 10$ will be extra for flower(just on 2 fingers), so 50 total. I was suprised at the end that the cashier asked for 50$. I said but she didn't made the flowers. Anyway i paid 47$. 7$ for 2 very simple stikers..... read more

My first two times at Nail Envy for pedicures was fine. I rather thought they took their time and did a great job on designs that I asked for. My third time I decided to get a full set of gel nails & pedicure before going on vacation. Full set was $45 (French) and $35 for pedicure with design on it. Again very pleased with my pedicure. This was a Sunday and on Thursday I noticed the gel was lifting from the sides of the nail bed. I made an appt and went in Thursday only 4 days after full set of gels was placed. The owner of the business again took care of me and agreed the gel was lifting. She proceeded to use "'mini nail pliers" to remove the areas that were lifting. It was bothersome when the adhered gel did not want to come off easily. Regardless she was being nice and I asked her why they had lifted and she stated because she had not made them thick enough. In my opinion they were already too thick and I informed her of this when she was filling in the gel she had removed. I asked her if it would look nice and she told me not to worry about it and to wait until she was done. I listened to her but when she finished the amount of gel on my nail bed was so un-natural looking my fingers looked like they had little blocks again. I informed her I wasn't happy because they were too thick and she told me if she made them thinner they would lift again and that she could only do them to the best of her ability and that I should come back on Wed when a man who "specialized" in artificial nails was in. She then proceeded to ask her co workers if they thought my nails were too thick and they all had puzzled looks on their faces but said no. Ultimately I was very dissatisfied with the nails and she then took the had drill and tried to make them thinner but at this point they looked so botched and not level. I informed her I was not happy and that I would pay her to remove them. She said she didn't want my money and that there would be no charge to remove them. I thought that was fair. She seemed upset so she called another lady to remove them. They have a tiny dish they make you put your fingertips in and they don't all fit when both hands are together it was very uncomfortable for my wrists. Initially they checked on me but then many walkins came in and they ignored me. After they were done with the walk in manicures they attended to me again. At this point my nails looked pretty beat up so I asked for a manicure. They agreed but when a third lady started to do my polish she kept on filing off more of the gel residue! Finally before polish she informed me I could pay a total of $23 10 for the removal and $13 for the manicure. I informed her the owner told me she didn't want my money for the removal but when she asked her in her native language the owner didn't bother to even turn around and told her to charge me. I tried to ask her to talk to me and turn around I kept on saying excuse me but she refused and didn't bother to turn around. Feeling defeated I paid when I was taken to the drying section a woman sitting there told me I shouldn't have to pay her for the removal. I agree. The owner walked past me and I asked her why she charged me when she told me she wouldn't and she stated it was a lot of work. I let it go thinking I could write a review but I didn't get to it UNTILLL 2 days ago I removed my nail polish and on one of my fingers there was left over gel that was lifting and had black speckles all over it I took a nail cutter and it lifted off. I'm convinced it was mold from moisture getting underneath the nail polish and on the gel that I was charged to remove! All my other fingers had gel and I removed it myself. My nails looked damaged and hurt because they are so thin. I am completely dissatisfied and I would never recommend anyone come here as they do not treat you fairly. I would have been a great customer had they not been so unprofessional. read more

Ive been in this place twice and that was two times to many...Envy Nails puts coupons in mailers and then refuses to honor them. The women who work there hussle the people who walk thru the door "You wan mani pedi?"
