After several disappointing years at my previous nail salon, I finally decided it was time for a change. Today I walked in for my appointment with Choice Nails for a gel manicure & pedicure & I'm so glad I did. From the moment I sat down in the chair for my pedicure, I knew it was going to be a good experience. Kim was my nail tech. She was friendly and extremely accommodating. She even took my socks on & for me! - granted my finger nails were soaking in acetone as we were also removing my previous gel manicure. Kim was very gentle with my hands & feet, but extremely efficient and focused. You can tell she is dedicated to her work. She payed close attention to the details and it shows. She did a beautiful job on both my finger & toe nails. I kid you not, I walked out today with the best gel manicure of my life. However, this did not surprise me too much as this salon only does regular & gel manicures (they do not do acrylic nails here). The entire staff were all very friendly. Prices are fair. For the first time in a long time I walked out of a nail salon feeling happy with how my nails turned out. It's safe to say I got my moneys worth. Update: I don't think I will be going here again. My finger was bleeding as they cut too much into my cuticle. I was not happy. I really like this place. Had my nails done here twice so far. I did no chip for manicure and regular pedicure which comes to $49. The staff is very friendly and offer random massages and hot pads for your neck. As part of your pedicure you get hot stone massage of your legs and a warm towel treatment. The chairs are comfortable, the facility is clean. You get hot wax with each procedure and they seem to be dog friendly. Im coming back here again. read more

Came in here for my first time being 38 weeks pregnant for a much needed pedicure. Sunny helped me and was incredibly kind and helpful. The foot massage with hot rocks was divine and I was so relaxed that I asked if she could squeeze me in for a manicure as well. They did and it was also lovely. Getting my eyebrows done at Choice Nails was a great experience. The salon is very clean and all the workers are extremely friendly! When you get your eyebrows done they bring you into a separate room and you sit on a comfy chair. It didn't hurt too much and I was very happy that they didn't take off too much. They are very nice and take their time! Pedi and no chip Mani lasted through a week Long Beach vacation! I've tried all the local salons here, and these ladies do a great job! Hot stones during pedicure and paraffin after a manicure are included! Coming back to say I was just here today and Cindy made me quite uncomfortable. She was making a big scene about me being so "skinny" and I just had a baby. Yes, I'm fit I enjoy eating well and working out. I also have small bones structure and always had thin arms. She kept asking other customers next to me how skinny I am and pointing to my midsection. I came to do my nails not be embarrassed with this excess attention. My mom has been raving about this place for a year now. She loved their massages and mani and pedi, so I thought I'd give it a try. I set up a mani & pedi for 2 for my mom's birthday. When we got there, the manager was very rude. She didn't greet us, accused us for not making a reservation for two and was very unapologetic when she realized one of her workers had made an error on our reservation. So service: negative points. Now the actual mani and pedi. Sue and Julia took care of us. Unfortunately, Sue worked on my mom and she was below average. She sped through everything and her work was below par. My mom was unsatisfied with her service. Julia on the other hand was a tad better. She was definitely more thorough, but thats about it. We didn't get any massages and I even asked them if we could pay extra for one, but I got no response ( could have been a language barrier?). So overall, this place was a waste of time. We drove 30 minutes out of our way to come here when we could have gone to our usual spot. We got horrible service and below par manis and pedis for $30 per person. Visited the salon today for the first time thanks to reviews on Yelp! Although the place is pretty outdated my visit and the customer service made up for it. There were only three women working when I walked in about 5 PM. I was worried that there would not be enough time to get my Mani Peti done before they closed. I waited about 10 minutes which I thought was reasonable. As I sat there one of the women that was being worked on had been a client for 13 years. That made me excited. I got the best pedicure I've ever had and the woman was very attentive. Next I visited Sue who did my nails. The old place I visited also in Palatine did a pretty bad job of fixing my broken nail. Sue knew what to do and fixed my nail like new. Great service great ladies, will be back!!! read more

I love this salon! The women are so nice, and do great work, plus a no chip mani and regular pedi is only $49! With these services you get a hot neck pillow in your massage chair- the pedi is so pampering. They do a scrub/massage as well as hot stones on your legs, and have a good selection of regular colors. The no chip mani is equally as relaxing. Mine usually lasts about 2 weeks, they give your typical hand massage but also a neck massage during the paraffin wax treatment...All for $49! I learned quick that it's best to have an appointment, as this is not a walk in salon, but theyve made accomdations to fit me in on short notice before. I will say, expect to be there for a decent amount of time, but prepare to be treated really well the entire time. This was my first time ever getting a pedicure done anywhere so my judgement can't be the best admittedly, but I went with two female friends and we all agreed. The location isn't ideal, but once inside that doesn't matter. We walked in as a group of 3, no appointment, just looking to treat ourselves. Very clean interior, extremely friendly staff, and amazing treatment. They took us in right away (it was a slower Monday afternoon), no wait, no appointment. From my friends descriptions the treatment we received was well above and beyond the average pedicure treatment you get at most salons. I went in for just a manicure. I don't know the name of the young manicurist. She had long hair and no people skills. She asked if I wanted my nails shorter. I thought she was going to trim them, she cut them all the way down. She was pushing my cuticles back, and in the process gouged my nail. I didn't notice this til I left. Now, I have short nails and one is gouged. I had picked a color, as I looked closer it was too orange. I told her I wasn't sure I wanted that color, that went on deaf ears. I said I hate this, to which she replied " Looks good with your coloring". When she was done, I was too angry to say or do anything to her. I won't ever attempt to go to this salon again. I had gone there in the past and the staff is very, very rude. Once I was even pushed on my way back to the pedicure room because after they called me to come back they decided it was not my turn. I've had one of the operators grab my hand to inspect my nails (I get them done at another salon) and she even picked at them. For some crazy reason, I decided to go there last Friday. I needed a pedicure badly and my usual person was gone for the day. They say they take walk ins. Apparently they do not. I walked in and was greeted by the dirtiest look you can imagine from one of the operators. I asked her if I could get a pedicure and she replied very, very rudely that I needed an appointment. I love this place! I will NEVER go anywhere else for a manicure or pedicure. For $28.00 you get the best mani and pedi around! It is totally worth the price and then some! You even get a neck and back massage afterwards, which is one of my favorite parts.. I am always greeted by name and treated respectfully. Gina is the one that always does my manicure and pedicure and she does a fantastic job. She takes her time and is very meticulous and also focuses on the areas I request without hesitation. Well only 22 bucks for a pedicure, so I'm sold. The lady who did mine was a tad bit rough on my toenails...it kind of hurt! Also, there was some leftover nail polish on my big toes, but that's not too big of a deal to me. Basically, you get what you pay for. I went here today for the first time, I live right down the street. I was really pleased!!! $49 for a no-chip manicure and a pedicure! The pedicure included a really nice foot and leg massage with hot stones! The atmosphere was very luxurious and comfortable. Anna did a really great job tackling my callouses on my feet, I could tell she was a perfectionist and I appreciate that! Her perfectionism really came out in my manicure! She was extremely precise with the brush, got it right up to the cuticle line (which she had trimmed masterfully!) and made sure none of the polish was on my skin. I've had a lot of gel manicures and this is one I can tell will last, it won't peel off. Beyond her skill, Anna was very nice!!! Sue who appears to be the owner or at least manager was also a sweetheart! This place was busy! There were people moving in and out the whole time!
