I was disappointed. I just moved to Arlington Heights and needed to find a new nail salon. I came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I was easily able to make a same day appointment. When I arrived, no one was there and the shop was locked! I waited a few more minutes & called the shop and they said someone would be there soon. I'm guessing this place only has someone there if they have a scheduled appointment - however it definitely frustrated me that my nail tech was late. Once inside, I was impressed with the color selection and how nice and clean the salon was. The tech did a great job on my gel manicure and my pedicure. However, since I was the only one there she rushed me to leave and didn't check if my toes were dried- so by the time I got home all of the polish was smeared. I tried calling to schedule a time to get it fixed however never received a call back on the voicemail I left. read more

Although they did a good job doing my nails when I went there for the first time, I got no chip done, but within a week, my middle fingernail chipped (see photo), so I stopped by to ask if they could redo the middle finger but the lady at the counter said we don't guarantee even if it's no-chip polish . I consider this very poor customer service so I will not be returning. read more

Got a pretty good pedicure and manicure from this salon... forgot I have been here before when it was under some E. Euro management with disgruntled women that seemed to be angry they had to perform their job... Anywho I digress... the ambiance is barebones but clean. The manicure I got from Oka was excellent, the pedicure was good... but that tech left and handed off the manicure portion to Oka. Love love love this place. I came to see Oka when she was in Randhurst village and was very happy with how much time and detail she puts into her work. She is so sweet and makes you feel at home while she does your nails. I came to her new salon a couple weeks ago and was blown away with how beautiful it is. Everything from the wood floors and new pedicure chairs to the beautiful chandelier. This place feels chic and spa like. I came with my friend and we both were so amazed. Oka's sister is working with her for now and she also does an amazing job. This is my go to nail place now because you can't beat the quality of work and products they use at this salon. I was disappointed. Went for a mani-pedi. I wanted to try Dazzle Dry. The pedicure was not good. The lady barely scrubbed off the dry skin on my heels (which are super rough the next day) and was using an old scrubber that was worn out which scratched my feet. I didn't see them using disinfectants to clean the tubs after customers and I pay close attention to that. The plastic tub liner isn't good enough as bacteria grows on the drain which is under the water. The manicure was ok. Once again she barely removed my cuticles and the paint job was not precise as some nails don't go all the way to the top. We shall see how long the Dazzle Dry nail polish lasts as it's supposed to go up to 2 weeks. The place is newly remodeled but I don't care about that. I care about sanitation and precision and quality. The folks were nice enough but my review is on the service, not the space or the people. read more

For $45 my mani pedi did not include a foot massage or a good pumice scrub, and my rough heels remained rough. I was extremely happy with the first couple visits.. All I'm really looking for in a nail salon is a clean salon that practices good hygiene. And, if the salon is providing special nail services that they are following the steps correctly so that the gel/dip/dazzle dry system lasts as long as promised. In later visits, I'd get a call saying my appointment is inexplicably rescheduled to an earlier time. I call back to tell them that couldn't make that time. Fine come as scheduled. Guess what? I arrive as scheduled and I have to wait for a party of 3 that had been moved into my slot. I stopped coming when I realized that the manicurist was skipping Dazzle Dry steps. The salon is beautiful; Oka keeps it meticulous and the decor is modern but yet relaxing - their music they play are Sounds of a Spa, super soothing. There's no smell of chemicals and nail grinding. They are very professional. I hate going to a nail salon hearing gossip and chit chat amongst nail techs. At VIP Nails, they give you all their attention and want to ensure you have a great experience. Lastly, they're great at time management. It's been a while since I've been in and had to go to another nail salon for my last no chip (because of my personal schedule not their service) and it showed. The no chip manicure at this location can not be surpassed. Oka and Tamir can't be beat. I will never go anywhere else again. Ever. Initially, I felt that the prices weren't competitive with nail salons in the area but there's a reason behind that, they don't nickel and dime you for removal or a minor repair.
