When I asked him to redo a nail because the nail polish was not applied evenly, he was huffing and puffing and frustrated with ME. Debated asking him to take off the polish completely and leave it was so bad. DO NOT GO HERE. WORST MANICURE IVE EVER GOTTEN. They also asked me to get there at 6 PM instead of 6:15 so I did. I came here on my lunch break because it was close to work and I had to attend an event and didn't have enough time to go to my usual nail place. I had an existing no chip on and wanted a regular manicure. The older women with blue glasses proceeded to remove my existing manicure by alternating 3 rounds of gel remover polish and the sanding tool, then ripping off the remaining gel pieces. She then noted how my nails were strong probably because my nail lady never takes them off this way. Not one bit of foil was used and her process took way longer. It was an hour for the removal and regular mani and that doesn't even include any dry time. She cut me 4 different times and then suggested a different nail color than what I chose. The edge near my cuticles are so bumpy and uneven, will be running to my nail lady to fix these even though I'm out $30 now. read more

For a moment when I walked in I hesitated if I wanted to stay because of the strong nail polish fumes. Opening the door especially now when the weather is nice would go a long way here. However they do wonderful nail job and do not skip any steps and are very detailed oriented. So I am very happy I stayed. My nail tech was wonderful she buffed and polished my nails to a perfection but was also very gentle. I felt very comfortable with her it was obvious she has been doing nails for long time. I stopped in to get a no chip manicure. I had been here a few years ago and really liked it. It changed! A very young boy did my manicure. I have thin nail beds and prefer to soak them off vs using a drill. I had to tell him several times not to use the drill. When he finally agreed to soak them off, he put my hands in a bowl of acetone. This is so bad for you! It is much safer to wrap soaked cotton balls in foil...he said they had no foil. How does a nail salon have no foil? He also kept trying to remove my old polish by scraping his long finger nails on the old polish on my fingers....instead of using a tool. This was a really unpleasant experience!!! It felt so unprofessional and not clean. Two days later, the manicure is already chipping. And I have cuts in my cuticles from him digging his long fingernails into my skin. I will not return. I would not recommend. read more

WOW!!! Truly a great experience at Pretty Nails. I came in last week to get gel nails with white tips. I made an appointment with Tammy and I am so glad I did because she did an amazing job and I left the salon super impressed. Not only did my nails looked amazing (even after a week they STILL look brand new!!!), the customer service I received from Tammy was exceptional. She was the sweetest and I cannot emphasize the level of care I had experienced. I can tell that she really cares about the quality of service and not the quantity of service. All the staff there were also very nice to me, there isn't a single thing to complain. The environment of the salon was clean, crisp, and classy. I used to come here often, about once every 2 weeks. I only came here because I can walk here. The old lady who works here is extremely rude and messed up my nails so much. It had bubbles under the nail polish everywhere and she would not redo them. She gave me a dirty look. Every time i get regular manicures, the nail polish chips and cracks within an hour!!! The only person who does a good job on nails here is the OWNER of the salon. He's the man. =) and the man does good job on everything including fake nails like gel and acrylic. read more

My usual nail salon was closed today, so I thought I could go somewhere new-- I was so upset and disappointed leaving Pretty Nails. I decided to try dip powder since I keep having issues with my nails breaking with no-chip. I chose a very light pink color, and it came out looking like pepto bismol. When I pointed out that it wasn't what I wanted I was told it would end up lighter by the end, but it did not. Afterwards I was very dismissed and basically told 'it's fine, you wanted pink.' On top of that my nails were not soaked, my cuticles were completely untouched. Needless to say they look absolutely awful. Will need to go somewhere else to get them fixed. read more

I wanted to love them. They are located five minutes from my job. It is so convenient to stop by on lunch or when I get off during rush hour to kill some time. I've been here four times and always get the same two people. I always do a no chip gel manicure. My no chips are wrinkled and my nails always have funky bumps. Today everything seemed to be going well until a woman walked in demanding to be seen for a no chip and she only had 30 minutes. The lady I was with rushed through and I was left with an amazing looking right hand and a lumpy-nailed left hand. Sadly, I would have tipped her double and that was probably quadruple what evil lady with only thirty minutes tipped her. So sad... =( read more

This business is still open, next to the DMV Office. Went here on a Friday during my lunch hour with a coworker - it was the fastest manicure I've ever gotten in my life. The lady who helped me barely said a word, and the whole experience felt very rushed. Between each layer of polish, she pushed my other hand in front of a mini fan so each layer could dry before the next - but this caused most of polish to bubble up. When I sat down at the end to dry my hands, I noticed she had completely missed a corner on my thumb, and I had to go back and ask her to fix it. She brushed on the polish on the corner and then I had to ask her if she would put top coat on it again. There were no other customers waiting while I waited for my polish to dry - she sat at her desk playing with her phone so I don't understand why she rushed me so much. This is by far my favorite nail salon in the burbs. It's so hard to find a place that is clean, affordable, quality service with options for colors and friendly and this salon has it all. I was so upset when I thought it was gone with the construction in the plaza and ecstatic to find out they just moved over to a new plaza next door. They have always done a wonderful job with my acrylics which is hard to find these days. Not the cleanest place. They took the instruments out of a surgical clean bag but it wasn't sealed and the tools had debris on them so I knew the bag was only for show! My manicure lasted all of 15 minutes. I really hate to be guilted into buying more expensive services after I've already asked for what I want. The polish job was acceptable. She liked the sloppy then clean up with a paint brush approach. Probably will not return. I don't get manicures often and when I do I'll happily pay the extra $10 to go to red door spa for assurance of a squeaky clean salon, beautiful extra plush extra clean towels, good professional not watered down products, gentle professional technicians and never being guilted into spending more than I intended. read more
