Multiple times after getting a full set of nails, the gold or silver charms would discolor to green (after only 3 days), and she would either just accept it or return to have them replaced. The time she did go back to have the discolored charms replaced, they did replace them at no charge. However, they did not apologize or offer any type of refund. Other times when she went there, and Jason was doing her nails, he would ask her what school she goes to or if she came from work, which I guess is kind of normal (or maybe not since she is a minor). One time, though, he randomly asked her if she had a boyfriend, and when she said no, he asked her if she wanted one. Kind of creepy and inappropriate. Each visit, Jason would always choose whether to use acrylics or gel nails instead of asking her after she showed him the design. Her final breaking point was today. She had gotten a new set of nails two days ago, and the very next day, two nails were already loose and falling off. So, she drove 20 minutes today to have her nails fixed. Again, the employees never apologized. After they were done fixing both nails, she asked for a refund. Jason immediately said no and got upset. She continued to advocate for herself and ask for a refund because they fell off so quickly and the finished product looked asymmetrical. Each time she has to make the drive back and forth, which takes time and gas money. Plus, she has been a regular customer for almost a year. Jason still refused to give her any money back. He explained that it was already fixed and paid for and that the deal was done. On top of that, he and another employee actually laughed at her when she mentioned the cost of gas. She proposed a compromise of a partial refund, and Jason still said no. They lost a loyal customer today.

It was unprofessional, sloppy, and it felt rushed. She was standing up rushing through my nails. I got a mani pedi done with an acrylic full set in less than 1 hour. That's how badly they rushed for some odd reason. I called before coming, mind you. Nobody was in line either, the nail shop was dead. They had no reason to rush a mani pedi + full set of acrylics in 45-50 minutes. That's impossible for a good set. This was the weirdest shop I've ever been to in my life. I noticed the barbicide that the tools were being pulled from had an unsettling amount of other people's skin sediment in it. Am I a nail tech? No. Therefore, I'm not an expert at nail salon sanitation procedures. However, I've since been diagnosed with paronychia and it's taken over a month to heal. Everyone's skin and subsequent reactions are different. Coincidences are possible, but I felt the need to be honest--as reports of infection are pretty much the primary thing that I look for when choosing my nail salon. I'm hoping that this was a one time mistake and this review can be used for improvements going forward. I don't pick at my nails, I wasn't cleaning, and I normally get gel extensions that last 3+ weeks, so this was very unusual. I reached out immediately and sent photos. Customer service offered 50% off my next visit, even though I clearly explained that I live out of state and only come back about once a year. I asked if a partial refund was possible given the situation and the cost, and after that, they stopped responding entirely. What's most frustrating is that after looking at Yelp, I see many recent reviews describing the exact same issue -- gel nails lifting or falling off the next day, paired with very high prices. I made an appointment for a regular manicure and pedicure at Tips Tailored Nails. The online…read morescheduling system was easy to use. The salon has a nightclub vibe to it. Lots of gold, black and grey decor. They have a small selection of polishes on the wall and lots of books of the colors they have for dip nails and other services. Unlike a lot of other nail places their hygiene tools seem to be in a back room so it's hard to know to what extent they're are hygienic but they did use tub liners for the pedicure stations and the heel scrubber was disposable although they also used a metal heel file too. If you pay with cash they give you a 5% discount and I saw many people paying with their phones. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience but I didn't find the experience to be so great that it's worth driving past other nail places that are closer to home.
