The ambiance and service were great, but I had higher expectations for the food. I would give the place 3 1/2 stars. They serve spelt ciabatta bread for the table and boy was that bread good! It was so soft and fresh, but it is not served warm. I love trying new wines and they do have less common wines on their menu. I tasted the Palivou from Greece and Carmel from Israel. I picked the Palivou, which I thought was medium-bodied with long escalating dry notes. If I recall the Carmel was a little heavier, slightly harsher tannins, but less dry. You can get three tapas for $14, five for $21 or a la carte. We ordered the French Lentils, Lebanese Okra, Spicy Roasted Eggplant, Gordal Olives and Fattoush. I didn't try the last two. The Lentils were cooked well, but I thought there should be a little less sauce. The eggplant was my least favorite. I didn't think it had much flavor. My favorite and the only tapa I would get again was the Lebanese Okra. Of the appetizers I ordered the Green Fava Falafel, which I didn't have with the yogurt and it was very good! For our entrees, we ordered the Swordfish and Short Rib Ravioli from the Pastas (you can get an entree size pasta order vs. the tapas size on the menu). The ravioli looked wonderful, but I did not taste it. I thought the Swordfish was good and had stronger flavors than the tapas, but I didn't feel it was anything to write home about. For the dessert we ordered the yo-yo's and they were yummy. I really loved the lavender honey!!! They also come with chocolate, which is bittersweet. I really like this place. With a beautiful interior and good food, I can easily recommend this restaurant to anyone. My date took me to this spot, where we dined at the bar (since obtaining a reservation is a bit tricky here). A more fanciful take on Greek/Meditteranean/Lebanese food, the menu has many different options for all diners, which should make any diverse dining party happy. I enjoyed the dishes that we ordered, including the duck and the lamb chops, which were definitely the highlight. The spiced crusted lamb was succulent, soft and savory, with the proper color that indicated a near-perfect cook. The accompanying vegetables only served to highlight the taste. I'm a huge fan of duck, and while the crispy duck was delicious, the duck sausage wasn't as good...in fact it was fairly flavorless. The other reason for the one-point reduction is the Mezze. I didn't think that the flavors of the mezze warranted superstar status, and when marcona almonds are the highlight of our choices, that does not leave a great impression. Overall though, service was friendly, prompt and proactive, the drinks were well blended and well presented, and I had a very nice time. I would definitely order the lamb chops again. read more

Wonderful! My wife and I met our daughter for dinner here this past Thursday, and it was one of the best meals we've had in Dallas. The menu was a very nice mixture of shareable and individualized dishes with a broad mediterranean flavor/theme, as well as some of the best pasta I have ever had. The decor of the restaurant was very attractive, and we were impressed with both the service, which was excellent; and the staff who were both friendly and knowledgeable. My wife has unique dietary restrictions, and had a number of questions, and our waiter Justin was incredibly helpful, guided us through the menu, and offered several recommendations, all of which we ended up enjoying. The wine list is unfamiliar and can be a bit of a challenge, but our server was able to recommend a wine that we each enjoyed. This was the best dining experience we have had all year, and we will be returning! read more

I realize that it's hard to come by servers these days, but the service my friends and I received was incredibly bad. The food was subpar and I would by no means classify it as a "Mediterranean" restaurant. Our party of 8 was told we had to put in all orders, appetizers and meals, at the same time. When we finally did decide on what to order, our waitress made a face and said, "that's not what I would've order." Ok... My friend ordered appetizers for the table but she was the only person who was given a plate. When she politely asked for plates for the table, our waitress slammed plates in front of each of us. Our dishes weren't served to the right people, not a big deal, but for it being a high end restaurant I expect better. My dish was noodles in a tub of melted butter. Nothing remarkable or worthy of $29. The appetizers were severely over cooked and overpriced. Lastly, when asked if our checks could be separated we were met with extreme disdain. I had drinks on my check that I didn't order and politely asked for them to be removed. The waitress told me, "never in my 2 years of working here have I split checks. That's just not what we do." She removed the drinks after some back and forth. Don't know the waitress name, she had sleeves of tats and glasses. Do better. read more

Quirky bland food. Think they are trying too many types of food and not doing them as good as ethnic restaurants. We had green tomatoes and eggplant appetizers...bland. Although told everything is shareable these were tiny. Greek salad was untraditional and bland. The stuffed squid was poorly done and the squid was cooked incorrectly and was tough. The ambiance is trendy and upscale, the food was great and the waiter (although very busy) gave the best recs and made sure we always had a full martini! Was invited there for dinner, I was visiting from Detroit. Ambiance is open, airy and welcoming. Servers were attentive and spot on with recommendations. We had a mix of vegetarian mezza which was delicious. My appetizer was grilled octopus. Done just right! It was presented in a dish with beans, cooked garlic and olive oil; one of the best I ever had. For dinner I had the Banzino, delicious and light. For desert I had the donut with honey dip, lighter than expected. Sachet will be on my preferred list next time I come back. And I am coming back! read more

Came here with some co-workers and the meal was FABULOUS! We tried the green tomato, octopus, and brussel sprout appetizers and everyone enjoyed. Portions are small but full of flavor. I got the Dorian and was advised that it would be served with the head and tail which I was fine with. The cheek meat was delish!! It's a beautiful and open atmosphere. It was quite loud however. Probably not a great environment for a business meeting because of that. Bread had a very nice firm crust and dense warm center with large air pockets. They have a very large selection of wines. I'm sorry I didn't get pics. Our servers were prompt and accommodating for special requests. I highly recommend. We were a table of 6 and were able to get a table in a Thurs. night just after 8pm with no wait but they were very busy. The parking is very limited but they do have Valet. read more

A group of girls came here to celebrate a birthday. Bar service was very very good and the table service and wine sommelier was also very good. The food was interesting and delicious. We had a variety of Mesa to start and then salads. I had the trout and all were really good. My one complaint is that it was entirely too cold! We were freezing. The former Mayor of Dallas was seated across from us and they were also too cold. They moved a couple times just trying to get comfortable. This place is great if they can figure out their temp needs to be comfortable. read more

Been coming here since day 1. A great, innovative wine list and a small plate Mediterranean menu kept me coming back. The second restaurant of the Gemma owners, this restaurant doesn't disappoint. Which is not to say that it's perfect. They have begun to rest on their laurels. The kale and ridicchio salad was over dressed. The broccolini on the Mezza list was chopped up like a Cobb salad at Denny's (should be served whole). The lamb was way over seasoned. The menu as a whole needs updating. The wine list is the same as the day it opened. Change is good, and Sachet needs to embrace that. Keep it fresh and current. Wake up! read more

I went for dinner with some friends, and had the Hendricks Gin and Tonic mixed drink - excellent, Pita and the Califlower and Shishitos that we shared as appetizers - delicious, and the Branzino with Artichoke Hears for an entree - wonderful. I think I'm in love...with Sachet! I had a business dinner here last week while in Dallas and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The dining room is gorgeous, our server was top notch and the food stole the show. I started with an Israeli Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc blend and was pleasantly surprised. We had high expectations going into Sachet due to all the hype. Our expectations were not only met, but exceeded. We arrived early and wanted for our table at the bar. The bartenders were attentive and provided great wine and cocktail recommendations. The sommelier provided a perfect wine recommendation that paired well with the variety of items we ate. We were seated at a round, four person table, which was great for chatting throughout the night. We began our meal with a variety of mezze plates. The beets and olives were some of our favorites. We shared a pasta and an appetizer before our main course. We all chose the waiter's favorite items for our mains and he provided incredible recommendations. We will definitely back to try the items we were unable to try this time. They have a $35, four course prix fixe menu early and late in the evening. This place exceeded my expectations. So delicious. The restaurant is cute, clean and pretty decor. They offer valet parking and there are spots in a skinny parking lot. It was a perfect weather day in Dallas so they had the wide doors open that look at a little park (and I got to see people walking their dogs). Since it was so nice we opted to stay at the bar and eat there. Service was great. Attentive and helpful. The hosts and bartenders were friendly. I love the wine options. By the glass you have a choice of 150, 250, or 500ml. And you get a glass appropriately sized. Very nice options. Good and interesting wine selections. The gin and tonics sounded and looked amazing. Food wise we went with the five mezes. The pistachio and marconas were toasted and tasty. I loved the pita with olive oil and dukkah! My favorite meze was the French lentils with muhamarra - perfect portion and so good. The jalapeños in the carrot tabbouleh added a nice bit of flavor and heat. Perhaps the best dish was ricotta gnocchi - it was light and like spring in a dish. Wow! I had a birthday dessert of Greek yogurt with strawberries and rhubarb. So often we take the time to write the bad reviews and forget to celebrate the positive experiences. After our dinner tonight, we were committed to giving credit where it's due. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Sachet and it was amazing, all of it...the food, the drinks but especially the service. Having lived in various major cities with a particularly high standard for restaurant experiences: we own the "food snob" title. Upon arrival they knew at the host station that it was our anniversary, only to also find a celebratory note on our table. The waiter was also aware of our special day and once again celebrated us! It just made our dinner feel that much more special. That being said, this menu did not disappoint - not for a second. The Meze choices were fun and creatively paired while the appetizer we chose, Falafel and yogurt, created a flavorful dance on the tongue. The real heroes, the entrees, were outstanding! You MUST try the green tortiglioni with salsa verde, which blew me away. Let's also mention the delicious drinks (try the G&T menu) which were refreshing and poured with finesse. We love Mediterranean food, and know how easy it is to get overboard with using spices when you cook Mediterranean dishes . I came here with high expectations given the restaurants reputation and the recommendations from my friend. Ambiance is very nice and the service was amazing. The wine list equally good, and the somm picked out a lovely Macedonian Syrah. But the food really just was "OK." Perhaps I've been spoiled by eating more pasta at Lucia than any other restaurant in Dallas of late, but we just weren't blown away like I was expecting. The mains (rainbow trout and the iberico steak) were fine, the pastas (lobster spaghetti and green tortellini) were average and the appetizers were not noteworthy, other than the octopus which was very good (also had the stuff squid and the falafel). Some of the mezes were undercooked, and each time we return, our pasta had been either over-seasoned, overcooked, or missing ingredients. We've enjoyed this wonderful restaurant on many occasions and ordered the Spanish family meal that Danny described in his review for our daughter's birthday. We ordered on August 10th to pick up on the 11th. Imagine our surprise when we opened the box, and found fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and chopped romaine salad. It looked like Bubba's but tasted dreadful. Southern comfort food with Mediterranean spices? With a tip, it was a $100+ fried chicken dinner. We were told that the menu changed after we placed our order. Sachet was kind enough to deliver more food at no charge. We all had a good laugh, but they need to stick with what they do best and leave the fried chicken to someone else. We were really looking forward to the paella. read more

Andrew, Cameron, and Yuri were incredible. Is there a way to describe a dynamic threeo (versus duo). Andrew paid exactly the right amount of attention to our table. Cameron and Yuri had exactly the right recommendations on wine to accompany the items we chose - and let me tell you, nothing was anything but a delight for the tastebuds. The beets, the duck - the skin cooked to perfection. (And I don't think I've ever seen duck meat pull apart so tenderly.) The lamb - the presentation was amazing. The brussel sprouts, perfectly cooked. And the test, how does a table of 4 split 5 yo-yo's. It was an interesting psychological experiment, and glad to say, no one went home with a wound. We have been wanting to go here since this place opened in our area. With the staggering reservation times available, we decided to just trying to walk in on Friday at 8 pm without a reservation. We found 2 seats at the bar immediately. I think if it's only 2 people you have a good chance of finding seats within 10-15 mins. Wine is served in 125 ml, 250 ml, and 500 ml. We ordered a 500 ml to split. 2 smaller glasses for both of us. We ended up staying after our meal and ordering another round. Really fun with lots of wine on tap. They suggested we order mezze, but we wanted to go straight for app. We ordered pita and cold poached salmon. Salmon was excellent. Highly recommend. Pita was not thin hollow pita I was expecting. It was about 4 inches wide and about 1 inch thick. Very flavorful, but don't know if we would order that again. We both order pasta dishes. I got the lobster spaghetti. The sauce had a spaghetti-o flavoring that was very unappetizing and to top off had cilantro on it? Unfortunately you can double your portion for $7 to make it an entree size which I did. Make for a large bowl of pasta that was inedible. They asked if they could bring me anything else but at that point I wasn't really up for trying anything else. Bf got the ravioli with some red meat protein. Very good. Highly recommend this dish. It had mushrooms and kale. Very good Overall I don't understand why the wait is upwards of 2 months to get in. The main take away is do not get the lobster spaghetti! It's good but we both said if we want pasta again we will just walk down to carbones. read more
