INCREDIBLE. Okay, so I'm going to start off by saying I don't normally (i.e. never) do Yelp reviews, but my amazing experience at Sabor Azteca required me to break my hermitage. My mother and I had lunch there today (first time trying out this new Mexican spot in Clifton Park) and it was remarkable. Atmosphere was top notch, Covid protocols were excellent (tables very spaced apart and very clean environment), and waters/delicious homemade chips and salsa were brought out immediately. Firstly, the service here was the best I have EVER received and being a formal waitress myself, I know how much effort it is to go above and beyond. If I remember correctly (I'm horrible at names) our waitress was named Bianca and she was so knowledgable, attentive, and treated us with immense kindness. I wish I could have her as our waitress every time I dined out. In addition to the lovely staff, the food was absolutely mouthwatering. I ordered the lunch fajitas and they were so fresh, perfectly seasoned, and it came with every side you could desire. My mother ordered the verde cheese enchilada and she loved it! We honestly gobbled up every last morsel. The drinks were also delectable! I highly recommend the house margarita and the piña colada - you won't be disappointed. Lastly, the flan was the BEST I've ever had (and I've tried many from California to Spain). The portion was voluptuous and the creamy melt-in-your-mouth texture and buttery caramel flavor should be envied by all other restaurants. I end with a thank you to this restaurant and it's staff for such a wonderful experience (it's hard to get these days, understandably). The decor is outstanding and clean. The buffet is good and they are constantly refilling all the great food, and a steal of a deal for price!!! Ask for the house salsa (hot), so good!!! We have been to Sabor Azteca many times. During our latest visit, we took advantage of the lunch buffet. Though buffet is on the small size, the selection is varied including fajita fillings, taco meat, enchiladas, chicken covered with a creamy sauce, another meat covered with verde sauce, mexican rice, refried and other beans, varied wrappings (tacos, bowls, flour tortillas by request), other toppings, plus a few things I have forgotten. All was tasty, flavorful, and fresh. Homemade tortilla chips and salsa at your table. Ask for their homemade hot sauce or a couple of commercial type if you want to make things hotter. Very reasonable pricing. We enjoy the decor, the music, and the service is good. Ordering off the menu is also very good---lots of variety. Though we enjoy La Fiesta also.... it has a party atmosphere... often too loud for us to appreciate conversation and being together. Sabor Azteca is our go to Mexican restaurant now. read more

So you have a lunch buffet for Mexican food at a restaurant in town... and I'll bet that you might not even know it. Certainly hadn't until I picked up food one night and inquired. The take-out was good, so obviously I had to check it out. The only thing keeping me at a 4 instead of a 5 was that there were fewer options than I'd have expected. The positive, however, is that everything tasted excellent. I watched them replace at least 4 items while I was there, and everything was hot and fresh. Definitely worth going back to again. First impressions coming in at lunch on a friday, it's clean. There is literally one other couple in here. They brought complimentary chips and salsa to the table. I asked if it was spicy? They said no, and I asked for the spicy the waitress said it costs extra for spicy salsa. We left and went across the street to Fiesta restaurant. Will always go to fiesta from now on. read more

The food has to be some of the best Mexican food you can find in the capital region. The tacos are excellent! The service is outstanding, never found my water glass empty or having to look for my waiter. The staff is very friendly and professional. So excited for a Mexican restaurant to use impossible meat!!!! First go round was enchildas. The vegetarian portion was large enough for two meals. It had the green sauce, so I don't quite remember which one it was. The chips are excellent, I didn't like the salsa personally as much as the green sauce on my enchiladas. The menu is a little confusing to figure out what the impossible meat is available on and my husband would love to be able to order individual tacos because they all sound amazing and he loves variety. read more

Wow - Authentic Mexican food in the former Ruby Tuesday's in Clifton Park!! I travel quite a bit and have had the good fortune of eating at amazing Mexican restaurants in Dallas...and I kid you not, I'd put Sabor Azteca up against any one of them. It is authentic, fresh, and quite good. While service was a bit slow, they're very nice and the food is worth the wait. If I could offer a demerit, it would be, the inside needs some updating to get away from the Ruby Tuesday fixtures that are evident. If you are looking for ambiance, this may not be the place...but if you are looking to try amazing authentic Mexican dishes, it is most excellent. Atmosphere is great, music is perfect volume, wait staff very friendly, and order and got food very quickly. So why the 4 stars?? Well I just felt the food could have been fresher. I ordered the Crab plate, do not get me wrong it was good but just did not taste like it was fresh. I also thought the burritos could have been bigger for the price. My wife ordered the chicken mole and she had no complaints. I would come back and really no complaints but for the freshness. Good skinny margaritas, solid meal! Best Mexican in Clifton Park. We had a great server, Chris! We ordered the seafood quesadilla and a dish called Pollo a La Parrilla, which is described as "Two (2) gmo-Free premium chicken delicately seasoned, grilled with onions, green and red peppers. Served with Mexican rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and three (3) flour or corn tortillas." It was served as described and pretty tasty (maybe a tad too salty), but not enough to ruin the meal! It was served similar to a chicken fajita on a sizzling cast iron plate. Their menu designates what foods are/can be GF (gluten free) which is helpful to some. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience and would definitely go back to try something else again. Ordered the Molcajete and the Chimichanga - they were as good, if not better, than my favorite family Mexican restaurants from my time in Glendale, AZ. My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try and BOY was that a great decision. Despite arriving about an hour before closing, the restaurant was very clean and we were promptly greeted and attended by friendly and professional staff. We decided on take out and our food was still hot, fresh, and absolutely perfect by the time we got back home. Both of our meals were absolutely top notch. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and ample portions. While menu prices may seem a little steep you definitely get more than you pay for in flavor and quality. Well, decided to go here for cinco de Mayo. Not my first choice but we were shopping close by and hungry. I've been here before but wasn't impressed enough to write a review. Today, a day where you would think they would be geared up for business it fell flat on so many levels. First off, the chips weren't fresh. Very surprised at the prices. Lunch you usually can find some bargains, or specials especially on cinco de mayo. Nope I ordered the beef pozole. I thought it lacked spice and flavor. Came with lettuce some onion and very little cilantro. Also 2 tortilla. Which were old. For 10.99 certainly not worth it. My daughter got the beef Baja tacos. She ordered chicken, got beef but our waitress never came back. If we saw our waitress I could've sent my soup back or at least got hot sauce and more onion and cilantro and try to spice up the dish ! This place hits the sweet spot of Food Quality/Price/Portion Size all day. There's a solid selection of options. I went on a Tuesday night, they were obviously short staffed for the crowd but our waitress was great and handled it like a champion. Ambiance was relaxed and chill. Decided to try out the new place in town and was really pleased! Got my stuff as carry out. My burrito was huge and delicious and had a lot of big chunks of pork! I also go a al la carte order of enchiladas, I asked for chicken but they gave me beef instead. Honestly not the biggest deal and I ate them anyway, also very good. I first came here with my son and his family about a year ago. Have been here at least 4-5 time for lunch alone and with friends. They offer a large dinner menu and 2 reasonably priced lunch menus. Their guacamole is wonderful. The place is comfortably large, offers engaging ambience, cultural music and service is excellent. All of my family loved their meals, i got the Pina Loca, and 10000000/10. So fresh, so flavorful, and absolutely addicting. Come hungry because the portions are huge. The chips and salsa are so delish and so fresh and they keep re filling the chips and salsa which I don't normally see in other mexican restaurants.
