Aguadito de pollo soup

A good Peruvian restaurant, I enjoyed the aguadito de pollo soup. Served very hot and comforting. Great flavor and so filling. Portion is generous, I even took some left over home. Parking is difficult.

Sabor a Perú delivers delicious, flavorful food that truly hits the spot. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned, the ceviche was fresh and perfectly balanced, and the drinks paired everything really well. Service was good and attentive, making the experience even better. If you're craving authentic Peruvian food, this is definitely a spot I recommend. Great food, great service, and a satisfying meal overall.

Finally tried Sabor a Perú and I'm so glad I did. It was packed when we arrived, but we were seated shortly after about ten minutes, which wasn't bad at all. It was actually my first time going even though I live so close, and it definitely did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The lomo saltado was flavorful, the grilled chicken was great, and the fish ceviche was even better. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The service was great throughout the meal. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual dinner or a family meal. Overall, such a solid Peruvian spot and one I'll definitely be coming back to.

Lomo Saltado

I'm totally obsessed with this place!!! The lomo saltado is a must have. The meat is tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It's a cute little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The employees are friendly and very attentive. If you're craving Peruvian food, look no further!

We visited Sabor El Peru and had a great experience. If you're looking for authentic Peruvian food with bold flavors, this place definitely delivers. We started with the Papa a la Huancaina, which was creamy, rich, and full of flavor. It was a great way to start the meal. For our entrées we ordered the Chaufa de Carne and the Pulpo al Olivo. The chaufa was packed with flavor and the portion was generous. The pulpo was tender and paired really well with the olive sauce. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. It felt like one of those local spots where you know the food is going to be good. If you're in Miami and want something flavorful and a little different, this is definitely worth checking out. Would happily come back again.

This was absolutely the best ceviche I've ever had! Will definitely be returning next time I'm in the Miami area! Thank you!

Empty bowl of Aguasito de Pescado...YUMMM!

I forgot to take the picture before I started. I just came to have their beautiful green soup: Aquadito de Pescado. Delicious, firm fish with a touch of rice and a smattering of peas & carrots. I thought it was corvina but i was surprised to learn it was it swai... no harm, no foul; it was excellent. I come here for the soup and also the Chicharron pescado and their arroz chaufa. You can't go wrong with this Mom and Pop spot directly across from the new Whole Foods on Biscayne Blvd! I give it a 10/10 for today's soup!

This place had a traditional feel to it. From the moment we walked into the restaurant and experienced the welcoming pleasantries of our hostess/waitress, I felt as if I had been transported to South America. My Grubbing Buddies and I and ordered several seafood dishes that looked to be amazingly authentic to those in South America. Unlike dishes from the Caribbean, not everything was brown and breaded. These dishes were tastefully good. If I ever find my way to this area again, I will be sure to try their hefty, plated meals.

Lomo Saltado

Casual peruvian restaurant in Edgewater.. nice spot for a casual lunch or take out on a day you're not in the mood for cooking! The ceviche is by far my fave, i have also tried lomo, but did not like it that much- last time the meat was not that great quality, the jalea is pretty good!! Service is fast & efficient, free parking os available in the back area.

Jalea (mixed fried fish and seafood) - the big lemon slices hide exactly how massive the portion is
Patrick D.

Good place for taste Peruvian cuisine with super generous portions in a casual, cozy spot near downtown. The menu is quite large and hits all of the most popular dishes like saltados and ceviches as well as a very big assortment of fried or other seafood dishes, and even soups like parihuela. Seeing the tables around us, looks like their most popular dishes are the ceviches and fried seafoods including their impressive jalea (assorted fried fish and other seafood including shrimp, squid, scallops, etc.), their chicharron de calamar (fried squid rings), and even their whole fried fish. The two of us got the chaufa de pollo, jalea, and fish+shrimp ceviche to share. Even just two of the dishes would've been more than enough since the portions are very very generous here, so all three together was overwheling in a good way. The ceviche had nice big chunks of fresh fish but only a small part of it was shrimp, which I didn't mind since I like fish more but if someone expected half/half they may be a bit disappointed; the leche de tigre was flavorful but not too acidic, and the nicely softened sweet potato on the side complemented everything well. The chaufa had a nice smoky flavor as expected and even after eating until we were stuffed, there was enough to fill an entire take home box. It could've had maybe a little more salt or umami but paired with the fried seafood in the jalea it was great. The jalea was really the showstopper here, a mountain of fried seafood topped with some lettuce and a nice pickled red onion salad. The coating was light and gave all the seafood a nice crisp but wasnt overly salty or crispy, and everything was nicely cooked without being dry or chewy; the pickled onions and lemon slices helped balance out the flavors and prevent everything from feeling too heavy. Overall, we had a great time and definitely got the most bang for our buck compared to really anything else in the area. While the food isn't as fancy or flashy as some of the other popular downtown spots, Sabor a Peru is a great neighborhood place for no frills, tasty, filling Peruvian fare.

Marv P.

I really wanted to love this place since we've heard so many ppl rave about it. It was very difficult to leave 3 stars especially since the service was great. The staff was attentive and kind. We are indoors since it was a warm evening. The food was just OK. The ceviche was good but not the best I've ever had, we also had shrimp in garlic sauce which was not good at all. We left feeling disappointed not in the staff but in the food.

The meal was good, but the prices have increased significantly. On top of that, they charge you an extra $5 on the bill because you pay with a Visa credit card, and they also charge you an 18% service charge without your consent, which is neither right nor against the law.

They're well crafted, creative, and just so good. I've had both table service and bar service, and the service has always been excellent everywhere. I may actually enjoy dining at the bar even more because you can see the open-fire kitchen up close and watch the bartenders craft the cocktails, which becomes an experience in itself. The ambiance is beautiful, and it's a place I enjoy whether I'm dining with a group or coming in by myself. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are consistently great. Ossobuco truly never disappoints.

I found that kinda odd but didn't put too much thought into it. Once I arrived at the restaurant, I was immediately seated in a beautiful booth. I was impressed how beautiful the restaurant was and it was almost full despite it being a week night. To drink, I tried the blackberry basil margarita and it was very refreshing. To start, we tried the Harissa tuna tartare and beef carpaccio. I absolutely loved the tuna tare. The waiter stated that it was their award winning dish and I can see why. Every bite was delicious. The beef carpaccio was also good but I liked the tuna tartare much better. To continue, we tried the empanada and ossobuco croqueta. The empanada was very tasty but the croqueta was the best out of the two. It was the perfect bite that was full of flavors. For the main, we tried ossobuco gnocchi and Jack's creek steak frites. The gnocchi was the best gnocchi I've ever had. The steak frites was also good, but not the best. For dessert, we tried the warm chocolate cookie and ube cheesecake empanada. The warm chocolate was bit too sweet for me but the ube cheesecake empanada was very delicious. The warm flaky empanada with the ice cream was the perfect combination. The service in the beginning was great. He provided great suggestions on what to order and detailed the specials of the night. But once a large party arrived, the service was not as great. It wasn't terrible, but I understand he was busy. Nonetheless, the rest of the staff did a good job at refilling our waters and changing our plates and utensils after each course. The only thing to note is that on the reservation, I had put that it was a birthday celebration and the staff did not mention it at all. Usually when it's included in the reservation, the staff brings a dessert for the celebration without a reminder. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was good. I would definitely return to have more tuna tartare, gnocchi and the ube cheesecake empanada.

We went to Santorini for our honeymoon and my husband and I were celebrating our 16th anniversary. Reservations are hard to get here, especially on the weekend. Luckily I have Gold Status with OpenTable through work and was able to get on the Priority Notify list where I would be the first to know when tables open up on my desired date/time. And that's how we snagged this reservation on OpenTable on a busy Saturday on our actual anniversary. Woot woot!!! First off, this spot is ALL THE FEELS!!! So beautiful and absolutely charming. Just like Santorini. When we arrived, we checked in and only waited for maybe 10 minutes until they sat us. Meanwhile, there were many people waiting. When our table was ready, the hostess seated us to this cute little two top towards the back area, very intimate. For our anniversary, they gave us complimentary champagne. Very cool. Matias was our server and he was wonderful. Informative, attentive and friendly. They had small menu with specials for the day along with their regular menu. Below is everything we ordered: * Karpouzi Fresco $21 * Baked Feta $18 * Grilled Grouper with Orzo $42 * Grilled Lamb Chops $61 Got the Karpouzi Fresco with watermelon, mint, prosecco. The cocktail was perfect for the ambiance and so refreshing. Baked Feta was ridonkulously good with heirloom tomatoes with greek oregano and sumac. So fresh with lots of flavor and served with warm bread right out of the oven. Dinner was at another level and incredibly generous portions but also ELITE!!! Grilled Grouper with orzo was nice and the small shrimp was a nice surprise, funny enough when this dish came out, the grouper was hidden under the orzo and we thought they brought out the wrong dish. That was odd. Grilled Lamb Chops were cooked on point and so juicy with good flavor. Everything was just delicious! We opted not to have desserts here as we wanted to walk around Miami and find another spot for dessert. All in all, we had a lovely anniversary dinner and this place was perfect. So happy we finally got to come here. It's just as charming as the photos show. If you want a small piece of Greece, come here. I don't think you'll be disappointed. It has all the Santorini vibes!

The setting is stunning, and you almost forget you're in South Florida. We sat outside, and thankfully, the fans kept things comfortable despite the heat. The atmosphere and service were both lovely. We started with the baked feta ($24), spanakopita ($20), and fries with yogurt ($16). Everything was delicious, but honestly, nothing was particularly extraordinary. These were all dishes that I felt I could find at plenty of other restaurants, which made the prices difficult to justify. Sixteen dollars for fries with yogurt, in particular, felt excessive for what the dish was. For our main courses, we ordered the handmade dumplings ($41), lobster spaghetti ($55), and catch of the day ($46). The dumplings were easily the highlight of the entire meal. Our server explained that they're made fresh every day by a dedicated woman whose sole job is preparing them, and you could absolutely taste the care that went into them. They were delicious and, unlike some of the other dishes, felt worth the price. Unfortunately, the other two entrées fell a little short. The catch of the day was very tender, but the flavor was underwhelming and could have used more seasoning. The lobster spaghetti was also rather bland, and the lobster itself was a bit tough. For $55, I expected a dish with much more flavor and better execution. We finished with the date cake ($16), which was fine but again, nothing memorable enough to warrant the price. Our total came to $371.52, including all the food, four glasses of wine, and two Coke Zeros. While we enjoyed the beautiful setting and pleasant service, the food overall didn't live up to the price point. The restaurant's Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition was part of what drew us in, but unfortunately, the meal didn't quite deliver the value or culinary experience I had hoped for. Would I return? Probably not. At these prices, I expected more distinctive flavors, better execution, and a meal that felt truly special. The setting is undoubtedly gorgeous, but for me, the food simply didn't justify the bill. I'd rather give a different restaurant a chance.
