I was walking into work and a guy gave me a flyer to this place and I thought I would give it a try today. I scanned the menu and wound up ordering delivery via clover. The pechuga de pollo a la planchet which is basically crusted chicken breast, with white rice, and a salad. First off the chicken was cooked too hard and absolutely no flavor, the white rice was just that sigh, and they sent the garden salad with no salad dressing. I have thrown the flyer in the garbage, they are only interested in selling food absolutely no care with the presentation, flavor and thinking about customers. So, I've walked by Centro Peruvian Fusion a million times because my colleagues and I often go to Pega Grill and walk by it while on the way. We'd noticed several times that the restaurant is usually very busy, but we hadn't ever tried it before. Today, while on the way to Pega Grill, my friend and I stopped to look at the menu and decided to give it a go. When we first sat down the restaurant wasn't busy, but within minutes all the empty tables were taken. Although there are several items on their menu, they didn't have everything available. My friend ordered sushi and they told her there was none. Some might see this as a bad sign, but I think it's evidence that the stuff they DO have available is fresh. Since they didn't have sushi, my friend ordered the ceviche with shrimp. I ordered the octopus. I LOVE octopus, but only when it's done right. Octopus is one of those things that's either great or great. Yes, ordering the octopus was a gamble but i'm so glad I did because it was EXCELLENT. The octopus was perfectly grilled and served with roasted potatoes and a red onion side-salad. I would absolutely go back just for that dish. At the end of our meal we each had a cortadito which had the perfect espresso to milk ratio. The service was also very good and the staff is clearly very eager to please. 4.5 STARS I'm popped in this place about a year ago for lunch after browsing the International Jewelry Center. I had ordered the Pollo saltado and a chicha morada to go. I wasn't impressed nor disappointed with the food, it was just meh. Fast forward about a year later, and again I was searching for "gold-filled jewelry findings" in the International Jewelry Center, but this time a divine aroma emanating from Centro Peruvian purposed me to try them once again. As a Nephilim of habit, I ordered the same dish, pollo saltado minus the chicha, but the dainty angelic Latina who took my order spoke about 5 words of English and she forgot to include the side of Peruvian green pepper sauce which I emphasized must be included in my order. I still left her a dollar tip( I tip on takeout, if you're a beautiful woman lol). As Long as I've lived in Bogota(South Florida), you'd think I'd be fluent in Spanish, I really need to stop procrastinating and learn this anti-Donald language. I strategically didn't order chicha morada for a reason, because I planned on stopping at Bravo Supermarket on my way home to buy a whole imported bottle of chicha morada to have with my lunch. One of the best Lomo Saltado dishes I've had in town and not stingy with the beef at all which is usually my problem with a few restaurants in the area. Perfectly cooked stir fry beef, nice and juicy and I had them mix the French fries with everything so they came out nice and moist with the delicious flavor of the sauce. A few joints in the area or the city have the right taste but are super stingy with the beef so you end up with lots of veggies and fries and maybe a few small pieces of beef...not this place. Another thing I liked was the price, $15.99 plus tax and they cook really fast which was just what I needed since I was in a bit of a rush. Walking in I was greeted immediately and the guy was very friendly. However, it's a basic hole in the wall but authentic Peruvian food which was good but not great, like he insisted it would be. I agree with the recent review that people come by out of nowhere and occupy tables because the seating is outside the restaurant where people come and go between the street and a shopping area. My server did NOT have a good handle of the English language and though I can understand and speak most Spanish, apparently, I didn't understand her well. I was after the quinoa with a protein and was thinking salmon but I made the mistake of asking what "chaufa" is ..which all it is Peruvian fried rice. She said I couldn't get it with salmon but she suggested grilled salmon and a portion of the chaufa and something about rice.. I don't know but whatever, seemed ok. I ended up getting charged for an entire entre of grilled salmon that already comes with 2 sides. One side was fried yucca and the other apparently, was a mini lettuce leaf with a single slice of cucumber and single slice of tomtato. Plus, I got charged with a side of what appeared to be quoina fried rice but no rice. I don't know.. this was all very confusing. The worst of my experience was if you pay with credit card they bring that little portable card reader and they just read you the total without reviewing the itemized bill. I paid and opted for email receipt because I'm on business travel and it's easier when I do my expenses. Anyway.. to my shock, they already charged me the gratuity but failed to tell me already included so I added another. Ugh!! Is this all of Miami? WTF?? Food was ok but 3 strikes on the first visit will not have me returning. Poor ambience, server cannot communicate effectively and failed to alert gratuity. No, will not be returning. Located a few blocks from my office, this place is a hidden jewel. Place is very small but the food is tasty and the service is friendly and attentive. You basically order and pay and then go sit and wait for your food to be brought to you. We ordered a ceviche de pescado, a jalea de mariscos and a chaufa de pollo. The ceviche was freshly made and came with sweet potato, corn and the onions. All in the lime juice. The jalea had fresh pieces of fish that where all breaded and crispy. It was an assortment of shrimp, mussels and calamari. Note: ask for the salsa criolla so u can dip the pieces of fish in it! You can thank me later!! Finally, the chaufa de pollo is the Peruvian Chinese style rice with chicken. It is cooked in a wok. You can get chaufa with steak, veggies, seafood or mixed! Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert but they all looked good so next time, I'm ordering the crema volteada peruana! read more

I've never received such poor service in my life. We sat down for dine-in service, but ordered via a QR code on the menu since it advertises discounts ordering this way. We selected "Dine in" upon ordering. The waiter was very confused and did not seem informed the restaurant offers an online menu. 50 minutes pass and our food has not come out yet or any water. I finally ask kindly if our food is almost ready.. the waiter then discovers that our order was bagged up for takeout, sitting on the delivery rack for at least 30 minutes. Food is cold at this point, I demand a refund or an explanation since no one informed us our food was ready. The receipt on takeout bag even said "Dine In". The manager reached out an hour later to apologize for what happened and offered a full refund and $35 voucher via email to which I agree. Manager even told me that the server has been fired as a result, which I believe was a straight up lie. A week passes, no refund or voucher has been credited. I followed up and received no response. 0/10 experience. There are so many better Peruvian spots in the area - do yourself a favor and avoid this horribly run establishment. read more

This restaurant seems to be an oasis in a sea of shuttered businesses. We came from out of town and wanted to try something local, and this restaurant didn't disappoint. The food is incredible. I had the chaufa de mariscos (seafood fried rice), and rice didn't know it could taste that good (or be that comforting). The mussels and shrimp were cooked perfectly, too. The staff was friendly and replenished all of our delicious, fresh hot sauces, adding more as we ate. No, not all of the staff spoke English, but we received perfect service, and all of them tried really hard to communicate and please. If we lived here, we'd make this our local haunt. read more

The menu has a great variety and they always have specials and provide good recommendations. I've tried the Chicha morada drink, Pulpo al horno, Lomo saltado, Tallarines Verdes con Bistek...all amazing!!! Your tastebuds will be so happy. I was excited to try this restaurant after seeing the menu and looking at the food pictures on Yelp. I ordered the Filete De Pescado A Lo Macho, which was supposed to have this amazing sauce. It was a fried fish filet with squid rings, two shrimp and two New Zealand mussels in an orange sauce. It was underwhelming. It tasted like frozen food being passed off as fresh, gourmet food. My friends didn't enjoy their dishes either. One had steak/beef with rice and French fries. He said that the rice was tough and the fries were stale. My other friend had a salad to which they told her they would add green beans. The salad came with mixed greens and tomatoes without any salad dressing or green beans. When she asked where were the green beans, they gave her a hard time like she was lying and then brought her a bowl of green peas (not beans) and carrots. Again, it looked like they poured some frozen green peas and carrots from a bag and microwaved it. We shared an almond cake for dessert. It was dry and stale. I wish them well but we won't be coming back. There are too many good restaurants downtown to waste calories and money eating here. read more

Got to say, I rarely give a place 5 stars unless they hit all the marks, and this place did. Absolutely fantastic service starting with the waitress who supposedly was the owners sister in-law. Very friendly and super inviting to ask questions and give opinions. As for the Food, very very good. Everything was very fresh and prepared with delicious taste and looked perfect. The establishment although not some super fancy place ( more like a diner set up) was very comfortable and casual. What set it over the top was that the prices were very reasonable. So at the end of the day I got a great meal, great service, although setup a bit cheap on furnishings it was comfortably casual, and I left with some extra money for the rest of the days excursions. I'll start off by saying the food is really good. Today was my second visit with my lunch crowd of 6. We decided to order and pay first since the first time we went the service was very slow. Today I'm disappointed with the way they mismanaged an order and didn't bother to do anything to fix it. I ordered three dishes and a side fish ceviche. The order was confirmed and paid. One of the entrees was for a friend who was meeting us there. Well all the food came out except for the friends order and the ceviche. Despite my leaving the table three times to make an inquiry -(as my food continued to get colder and colder) the manager continued to take orders and represented the mistake was taken care of. Time continues to pass and No food but again she says it's being made. My friend finally arrived his dish was "still no where in sight nor was the ceviche. Another employee comes to the table to say I never ordered the items. Had they told me that from the beginning I would have gladly paid so that my friend could eat. He ended up settling for an empanada because we had to leave for an early meeting - despite all of the managers confusion she had the nerve to bill my friend for the empanada!! I was pissed. Luckily for her he is a nice guy and didn't want to make a stink over it. A real shame considering there are few good places to eat in the area. I probably won't be back especially since she told me a side was 4.00 and she charged 4.75. Another misrepresentation. Good food but beware because the customer service is poor. read more
