I had seen Saba's previously because it's next door to Crumbl Cookies which I love to frequent. Although I like Mediterranean cuisine, I hadn't given Saba's much thought since it's in a strip mall and didn't look particularly special. On a whim one day I decided to order take out from Saba's. They had my order ready within 10 minutes of my call. I was blown away by the quality of the food! It's definitely right up there with the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. Their menu is large and they have lots of vegetarian choices for me. I especially like their 'create an entree' option where you can pick and choose from a variety of entrees and sides to make your own meal. I highly recommend their spicy feta fries! I came back with my husband to dine inside the restaurant and it was great again. The service was friendly and quick. They ended up giving my husband his beer for free because it took a while for them to bring it out because they were switching kegs. We didn't even ask for that, they just did it. This place was good. We got the flaming cheese skillet, it was so fun to see but also was very good. I thought the price was pretty standard for a greek restaurant. The fries could have used a little of that orange seasoning I usually see at other places, the yellow rice was good, tzatziki sauce was good, lamb kebab was flavored well, gyro meat was good but a little too smokey, chicken shawarma looked like chicken breast but was fine. I think I would repeat everything I ordered again, with the exception of the chicken shawarma - was just a little boring compared to everything else. I would definitely come back. read more

Dined in today at Saba's Mediterranean Kitchen and it was excellent. Really great food, customer service fantastic , friendly staff & very clean restaurant, one of the first things I noticed. Had a very inviting environment where it made you feel comfortable to be yourself. The wait time for the food was minimal Jered did a great job , he was really nice and helpful. I had the chipotle pita which was amazing! Meat was cooked perfectly Chicago style ( ty Jered) and the sauce was perfect. They are on top of their game! It has been many years since we have eaten at Saba's because we don't live in the immediate area. It is sort of out of sight, out of mind. Since we were heading to an event down the street we decided to visit Saba's and see if these great reviews were right. In the past the food was always really good. Was it still good? YES it was and we were blown away by everything we tried. The variety of menu items and the amount of changes you can make for your specific taste was more than expected. I guess you can do that when you are a family owned restaurant. Along with the over the top food was the excellent service we were given by Carl and the entire front end staff. The owner George came by to thank us for stopping by. It was an appreciated nice gesture that most restaurants often, if not always miss. This is not a traditional Greek or Middle Eastern restaurant. It fuses the best of different and deeply rooted ethnic recipes throughout the Mediterranean area with a unique American spin on it. I highly recommend Saba's. If you are looking for fresh food made by a talented kitchen staff and served by a knowledgeable server then this is the place for you. First thing, this is a family owned business, and the food is 100% as you can see by my review but also the other 700 plus reviews. Everything they make is homemade, fresh and definitely delicious. I want to mention something they make that I absolutely crave regularly and that's the Turshi or pickled vegetables that is cauliflower and cabbage brined in turmeric and apple cider vinegar and is really inexpensive considering how much they give you, it's a side and goes so well with the cuisine. It's only 2$ so make sure you try it, my favorite dish here by far is their Gyro on pita seconded only to the lamb kebab in the create your own entree which they give plenty of choices for you to add a protein ( or 2 or 3 ) and a side, for lunch or dinner this place is a win win , with excellent staff , wonderful owners who aim to please and a top notch kitchen staff who do an amazing job with experience and consistency, which you'll notice when you get your order every time it's identical. Excellent Mediterranean cuisine. The selection was wide and varied and they had no problem suggesting a variety of Vegetarian choices. My Felafel was tasty, plentiful, and with a fresh side salad, provided a doggy bag. They do not push drinks, and, in fact offered water as a possibility. Try the 'Crumble' dessert, it is not to be missed. The service is professional, and quick, in our case, to bring yogurt dressing as requested. Ambiance is really nice. You can tell they hold on to their roots and take pride in being family owned. They have beautiful photos of the Christian quarters in Old Jerusalem that I very much enjoyed as a fellow Palestinian. Loved their "break the chain, eat local" slogan. Service was great. The food... I had a Fattoush salad with chicken shawarma. It was excellent but nothing like a traditional Fattoush salad and I wouldn't consider their chicken as traditional shawarma. They had a good amount of veggies in their salad and the vinaigrette was excellent. This place is a hidden gem! My favorite dish is the buffalo gyro fries, insanely big portion of fries loaded with feta, buffalo sauce, and taziki, it's insane!! The staff is always really friendly and you definitely get the sense this is a mom and pop establishment. This place is SMALL, which is the only downside, and honestly not good for large groups I wouldn't ever come here with more than like 4 people. The bar is practically nonexistent as well so come here with a friend or 2, sit at a booth, and have some amazing Mediterranean food ! We are from out of town on vacation and wanted some Mediterranean food. Saba's was amazing! We got 3 different pitas and the Greek side salad, it was all great! They allow their customers to chose. Would you feel any better if you were in a pool with a peeing section? No? Then mask mandates upon entry where you take it off two steps later is pointless anyway. A visit to this store is a vote for freedom by supporting a local family owned business who put it on the line so you can exercise your rights freely.
