This location is in the copperleaf hotel. Super cute right in the heart of downtown Appleton.

We don't get to Appleton that often. Staying across the street at the Paper Valley Hotel. Glad that we decided to have dinner at Rye (right across the street). Had reservations, got there a little early so we sat at bar and had a couple of their special Old Fashioned. Got great service and terrific drinks (Thanks Clause). Got seated at a nice spot, towards the rear. Spacious and not too noisy. We ordered several of the Sharable plates, Beet Salad, Crab Cakes, and Seared Ahi Tuna Salad. Each one was an amazing combination of flavors and textures. Hard to pick a favorite. We had room for dessert, so we tried the special Peppermint Dome. Again, an amazing choice. In total and excellent meal. We would definitely stop again.

Service was very good. Drinks were extremely good, the highlight of the experience. I highly recommend the whiskey sour with egg white. Ambience is okay but not great. We got stuck at the one table that is in the transition area between the bar and the dining room, so that didn't help. The food was all very good overall. The salmon was cooked very well, and the sweet potato ravioli was an interesting dish that was also well prepared. Nothing we had stuck out as outstanding, but overall it was a good experience and we would definitely return.

Top notch food, service, drinks, and atmosphere. Elegant dim lighting so keep that in mind for those with vision issues. Lovely though! Definitely try the flourless chocolate torte if you love chocolate. You will be too full but order to go!

Very nice place overall I loved the inside other than the bar is really small. My waitress was super friendly & smiley I love that about her plus very attentive as well. The food was delicious other than the kale salad it tasted like grass lmao. How do I know? Might of tried it as a child (j/k)!!! I would definitely recommend this place & be back.

Love Rye! I happen to be in town for a couple of weeks and went there three times. They were very kind and accommodating to a late night solo diner the first two times I came, and I thoroughly enjoyed my last dinner with my daughter. Welcoming people, really nice, consistent food, an upscale experience in downtown Appleton.

Went on a Friday evening around 6:15. 1.5 hour wait for table, recommend reservations. They had available seating outside on the sidewalk, nice evening so definitely took advantage of this no wait option. There is street parking, and red ramp garage nearby. Seated outside promptly. Water immediately provided. Good options on the menu. Plenty of drinks. Had the short rib mushroom rage and a wedge salad and a Diet Coke. The salad was great. I would get it again. Lettuce was fresh. Ranch dressing I selected was good. Pickled onions were a nice touch. I enjoyed the maple pepper bacon. The entree was also delish. Extremely flavorful and tasty. Noodles were great texture, short ribs tender. Great variety of fresh mushrooms. Service was fast and attentive. Nice evening to sit outside. There is street noise so enjoyed the music of the passing cars. A great meal. Recommend. Note the dress is business casual or higher. Fortunately with jeans I sat outside!

Rye is located in the heart of Appleton on Collage Avenue. Great location! It is connected to or copper leaf hotel. We were catching a show at the PAC so I called the day before to see if I could get a reservation. Unfortunately unfortunately all the reservations for the dining area were full at the needed times, but they did have an opening in their auxiliary seating area, which is located in the lobby of the hotel (in the bar area). Maybe not as nice as sitting in the dining room room with the fireplace, but this worked out well. Just not as fancy. To be honest, I'm always a lot tougher on higher end dining because I expect more. That is why I went with three star on this review. Things that were great. My wife ordered the crab encrusted walleye, which she said was very good. The death by chocolate cake was also pretty awesome! I also thought that the service was pretty good, even though our waiter was spread, pretty thin, taking care of tables and in some cases working as the bartender. He hustled and did a pretty good job. Things that were average. I ordered the pork schnitzel. I thought it was a little thin, I did like the arugula and tasty sauce that came with it however. I also thought the Rosetto balls appetizer were just OK, but I thought the sauce they came in was really good. Wish there was more! I did have a problem with the oysters. I know this isn't a seafood place and oysters are not part of their normal menu, but the oysters they served were tiny, probably the smallest oysters I've ever eaten. I've gotten much bigger and better tasting oysters at other restaurants (for the same price) I would recommend skipping the oysters! Another issue, and this one kind of surprised me. I ordered a dirty martini, and when we got her bill I noticed that they charge for the martini, and then added $2.50 for the olive juice and charge a buck for the olives!. I have to say I've never seen something like this before! A dirty martini is a pretty common drink so I can't believe that they don't have it as one price. I do get the up charge for the olives because I asked them to be stuffed blue cheese, but for the olive juice? That's just weird. that would be like ordering an old-fashioned and having to pay for the bitters.!! My wife's meal came with potatoes and she thought they were pretty heavily garlic spiced. Enough that she said she could taste garlic most of the night!. Overall, our meal was good. Like all good food lovers, I was scanning the room, taking a look at other entrées. I have to say the salmon, steak, and the pork chop at the table next to us looked spectacular! I've had the steak here before, and it was really good, so I will be back... just not for the oysters!

As much as I love to try different restaurants, I had not been keen to try Rye. It struck me as snobbish and too fancy for my liking. On a recent lunch excursion, I found it was neither too fancy or snobbish. I ended up enjoying very good service, a casual atmosphere and pretty good food; albeit a little pricey. The menu was limited for lunch but still offered a reasonable number of entree choices and a fair number of appetizer offerings. My dining parter and I started with an order of bacon and cheddar risotto balls and the New England style crab cakes. I thought both were good, not great. We each had a drink from the bar and found them to be well prepared. I was torn on what to have for my meal. The waitress seemed to be knowledgeable and I left my decision to her recommendation. Without hesitation, she said the schnitzel. I went with it. It was good, but not nearly as good as some other local restaurants have prepared it. It lacked flavor and needed something additional to round out the plate. My dining partner went with the chicken Marsala and proclaimed it a great choice. Overall, it was a good experience. I think it is a great date place, especially if you are trying to impress someone. As I don't need to impress anyone, I'd consider going back to give it a second try in the future.

I want to be a butter snob now and only crave compound butters moving forward. :D Food presentation is beautiful but taste is what wins me over. The tenderloin is magnificent. All of the flavors are in perfect symmetry - the sprouts and mashed potatoes were dynamite. Having broccolini as another vegetable was even better. This is a generously sized dish and easily makes for 2 meals. I can't say enough positive things about my first Fratellos experience and very much look forward to coming back for another taste.

In November 2025 the burger special was the Apple Butter Badger burger, which was a 1/3 pound patty topped with smashed fried cheese curds, sliced apples, apple butter, and wonton strips on a salted pretzel bun. My family and I stopped for dinner so I could give it a try. In addition to the burger I got tater tots. While I don't mind mixing savory and sweet in combos I'm not used to, like having apple on a burger, this particular burger was fine to try once but it's probably not something I'd get again. The apple didn't stand out until the last couple of bites when all I had left was the middle (I eat around the middle first). The wonton strips seemed unnecessary and I would have preferred the pretzel bun without the salt on top. The apple butter was great and stood out in every bite. The tater tots may have been the crunchiest I've ever had and, as someone that has crunch as their favorite food texture, I thoroughly enjoyed them. My wife got the PB&J burger with strawberry jelly and no jalapenos. One kid for the regular Badger burger and the other got just a plain cheeseburger. They also had fries for their side. All of them liked their meals and said they'd get them again. Prices seem super reasonable compared to most other restaurants. The bar area and tables were mostly full, yet our food came out reasonably quick, which was appreciated. Home Burger Bar is a place I'd keep coming back to.

The employees were warm, friendly, and professional, and they seemed to know exactly how often to check in without interrupting our meal. We had a soda flight of their craft sodas for a super super reasonable price, and every single soda was spectacular. We're spoiled in the craft soda department by virtue of living in Wisconsin (Sprecher, Potosi, etc), but this was definitely the best craft soda we've had. Even the wacky flavors like blue raspberry were rich and flavorful--they didn't taste overwhelmingly artificial. I cannot recommend their soda enough, although I imagine their craft beer is pretty good too! We also had a delicious mocktail, which always goes a long ways in impressing us. All of our food was reasonably priced and so, so, fresh and delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese was heavenly!! We loved our entrees as well. Even something simple like the fries were perfectly done--fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside I don't think we could have asked for a better experience.
