Ordered delivery. Very hard to hear and understand woman taking order. About time order should have been delivered received call from the restaurant asking how i was paying. An hour after we ordered (hamburger soup and quesadea) i called them. Was told would be there in about 10 more minutes. So 1 hour and 15 minutes after we ordered the food finally arrived. My husband and I come here often for weekend breakfast, and it's always a great experience. We're greeted right away, our drinks come out quickly, and the food is consistently served fast. We've never had a bad visit, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable--especially compared to other places that charge more for food that is mediocre. read more

Seriously the worst food I've ever had. The omelet was just a hard piece of cheese. The melt didn't come with the au jus, it was 90% bread, and not seasoned. Your basic inexpensive dinner with lots of comfort food. Best fries I have had in a long time! Crispy on the outside tender on the inside. Vegetable melt was satisfying. Attentive service. And a variety of teas. Even a favor - cherry- that I have not had before! I went there for dinner, but looks like a full breakfast menu. Four stars because, though I understand it, they upcharge for credit cards and it is not started on the menu. The charge is about 10%. Fortunately, I hand enough cash on me. We waited over 55 minutes for our food. We had to go up front and ask if it was even coming. We were told that they just had a lot of tickets stacked up. Located about two blocks from the BFK museum it was convenient for kids. They offered a kids menu as well. We ordered mac and cheese and fried chicken with fries and chicken dumpling soup. The soup and fries were really good. The fried chicken was mediocre and maybe a little over cooked however it was still tasty. The mac and cheese was your favorite Kraft version, not really anything to brag about. It was served with two pieces of bacon. The bacon was well done. It's a quaint environment and the staff was all pleasant. The only complaint would be to give parents the option to choose a side for their kids. I thought it was a little odd but it's okay. The restaurant was overall clean as well and the prices were also reasonable. For the two of us, the bill was only $17. We'll be back if we come back to this area. read more

A strange experience. This used to be Perkins and we hadn't been in the area for a number of years to check the new place out. We finally decided to give it a try. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a child. Assuming, this was an employee's kid, it was very odd (and illegal?) We were sat by said child in a booth, finally ordered with the (adult) server, and when the food arrived it was hot and pretty good. Your standard diner fare. The homemade hot sauce was spicy and flavorful. That was a win. We intend to give this place another shot, solely for the food. Service is still TBD. read more

A few work managers and I stopped in on our way through the area. We had a reasonable time to get in and out: 45 mins. We were seated in the middle of other people. Apparently a large group came in so we didn't mind the seating arrangement. But as we sat there we noticed everyone was seated around us. Really? Pack everyone into a small area is not comfortable. The orders were submitted and they were kind to help out a fellow manager who is vegetarian. Then we waited... And we continued to wait... 30 minutes later and we are getting worried if we are going to make our appointment. We call over the waiter and tell him the situation and how long we are waiting. He went to the kitchen and came back to state that the kitchen was busy because of the large group who came in right before us. We took this into consideration but then the food magically came out for us and another table. Why did both tables come out at the same time? The waiter said they were waiting on the toast but really? How long does toast take to cook? We quickly shoveled down the food and headed out to our next destination. Have been here a few times in the past few months. My 9 year old loves the larger burgers they serve in the kids meals. Today I am opting for a 12oz steak meal, which came out as 2 six Oz. Very thin Ribeyes and season with what tastes like seasoning salt and slightly under cooked my med rare is very rare. Ironically the green beans had a better seasoning then the steak had. The second steak was good properly so not sure what went on there. They do however make a great in house hot sauce, in hot and kid approved hot. It did compliment the steak very well. The servers I have had in the past were less then stellar. We did get lucky and was seated in a servers station the was very attentive and made us feel at home. I requested her today and have killer service. I judge most diner servers by my coffee cup. If my coffee is half full/empty and it gets cold. That would be bad service, today cup stayed full and was always hot. It was a good day for my cup... All in all they do make great diner food. Just need to watch the steak temps a little closer or order a full 12oz cut instead of 2 six Oz cuts. Best meal we have had was the all you can meat meatloaf. Great place for breakfast, and they'll even bring you a cheeseburger at a non-traditional time. I had the pancakes, as usual, and they were sweet and delicious. Syrup there is outstanding, and they keep plenty of it right on the table, bless their carb loaded hearts. Eggs, toast, hashbrowns, french toast all got very high reviews at my table. Kids loved the chocolate chip pancakes, and one of them even finished his whole plate in a Man vs. Food like feat of eating prowess. And the cheeseburger was good as well, even at 9 am (that wasn't me eating it). Sweet. No skim milk, apparently their goal is to get you above the 1,000 calorie marker by your 5th bite of food, but if that's my biggest complaint there's nothing to worry about here. I went to this restaurant yesterday for my boyfriends birthday. We were the only people in there besides another couple that we couldn't even see when we were seated. Our waitress was great! She was funny, on top of everything and could hold a conversation! 5 stars for her! Unfortunately, a manager there, named Jamie, decided to sit in the both RIGHT NEXT TO US (note again- we were the only ones in there) and have an employee sit with her. There she continued to scold him for whatever he was doing wrong. Do you really think we wanted to listen to that?! It was my boyfriends birthday and the last thing we wanted was to listen to this manager scold an employee. Really? Was it necessary to sit right next to us? Unbelievable. Only had one time where my order wasn't right and they immediately brought me a large side of shrimp (shrimp Alfredo) on a pretty platter. I came in on a Wednesday morning (today) with my grandma. Our experience was poor. We were seated in a booth by the manager, and the waiter came to our table to get our drinks and our order. He had a thick accent so my grandma had a hard time understanding him. I tried to help her, but he rolled his eyes, sighed, and just said "ugh people" thinking that we couldn't understand him maybe? Or maybe he was joking? I couldn't tell. My grandma got a really nice omelette, and I ordered the blintzes. They put cottage cheese instead of cream cheese in it so we flagged down a waitress (our waiter was nowhere to be seen) and explained it to her. She checked with the kitchen, and the manager came out and apologized and told us they were out of cream cheese. I understand if you run out of cream cheese, but please tell me! What a waste of everyone's time. They made me a different order, which was MUCH better. TLDR; Cooks don't know the difference between cottage cheese and cream cheese. Waiter was rude. Manager and other waitress were super nice and helpful. read more

I had breakfast this morning with my high school classmates, about 15 of us there. We called ahead and they had a large table all set up for us. Jamie was our waitress. She gave us excellent service, all with separate checks! My breakfast was about the best I've had in a long time. The fresh fruit (juicy FRESH pineapple, musk melon and honey dew) was delicious, quite unusual for this time of year. My eggs were good along with a generous portion of bacon. And their home-made grilled bread was excellent. Very reasonably priced for about $5.50. I'm looking forward to going back and trying lunch and/or dinner. Wasn't happy with first visit. Waitress had to come back many times to remember what should have been either on our table or brought with our food. Like silverware and straws. Chicken Ceaser salad (which I had ordered a chicken Ceaser wrap) was way to peppery and the "croutons" tasted like cold toast they had cut into it. It will be a long time, if ever I go back there again. I noticed and overheard form others that were there they they didn't get what they ordered when the food was brought out. Don't know where these waitress' minds are but not on the job. My sister and my mother have gone there before with absolutely no problems! They loved everything about Gardenview. Until yesterday that is. The waitress's were very nice and one lead us to a booth. She asked for drinks, got the drinks. Everything was running smoothly. The food came out suprisingly quick which was very good. Started taking some bites out of my bacon cheeseburger. Until I took another sip of my chicken dumpling soup which was also very good! Then I noticed a short small black hair in my soup. I thought I would just ignore it thinking it might have just been something else, but then there was a piece of hair in my french fries. I told the waitress about it and they really did apologize and they made me another plate. Then after getting my second plate which by the way looked clean and started to eat it. I looked at my bacon cheeseburger completely to make sure everything was fine. And it was. So I started eating again. Towards the end I ate the burger and then as I was eating fries I saw yet ANOTHER piece of hair in my french fries. Another thing too is is that the waitress's never checked on us at all. We wanted refills for our drinks and no one ever came so my sister had to actually get the managers attention just to get a refill. Here is my 2 cents of this place, AMAZING food but LOW Quality service and ethics. Went there on Easter at 1pm for a nice lunch with my wife. Got right in. The place was moderately busy. By the time we left about 2:20pm there was hardly anyone in the place. We ordered and I was told that the fried chicken was out. I asked about the baked chicken. The server went to check. Yep, they were out of that too. So I ordered their 10 ounce sirloin. About 10 minutes later the server came back and told me that they were out of the sirloin too. So I then ordered the cod fish and chips. About 10 minutes later a young lady asked my wife about her order. Which was a basic Mexican right off the menu. Do they not know their own menu? When we finally got our order about 2pm, yep, waited about an hour to get served, my fish and chips came with mashed potatoes instead of the fries. I was so frustrated that I cold not even tell them that they messed up. However, the mashed potatoes were horrible. I took 2 bites and could not eat it. How does one make mashed potatoes taste bad? When we paid our bill they did not even take off for our experience. So I paid the bill and will never go back! read more
