My husband and I were visiting WI and stopped in here before heading to the airport. Wow! The food was fantastic and authentic. We are from Texas so we're very familiar with authentic Mexican food. During our stay we ate at another Mexican restaurant that claimed to be authentic, but the food was terrible and the flour tortillas were obviously store bought. Not here! I had the barbacoa and my husband had the beef fajita burrito, both excellent. Everything looked and tasted fresh and scratch made. The beans and rice were some of the best I've had. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area again! read more

Great food, Large portions and very friendly staff. I really like spicy and the salsa was great for me.

Small place with amazing food. I love the array of sauces and salsas provided. I've had the carne asada street tacos that were fabulous and the chicken fajita quesadilla that was loaded with shredded chicken. It was juicy and had great flavor. The queso dip is good too. They have classic Mexican Coke and Fanta too! The service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend as a place to grab a quick bite or takeout! read more

Great food! These tacos are legit. The horchata though has a dairy base, and is not rice milk as I'm used to, so not 5 stars. Nonetheless, this place is totally worth the trip and has the best tacos I've had so far in the Fox Valley. read more

Best Mexican food in Appleton. Authentic in all the best ways. We've had the same server for years (I think he might be the only one on staff) and he rules - incredibly friendly. read more

I gave this place 5 stars not because of its ambiance or quality of food, but rather what I witnessed today, when I had a late lunch. A poorly groomed man, with plastic bags in hand, walked in and asked for something to eat. The server sat him in a booth while the man waited. He was then given a plate of taco which he ate slowly. I called for the server and told him that I would pay for the man's food. The server tried to talk me out of it. A dining establishment should not only be commended for its aesthetics or fare, but also for its goodwill in the community. read more

If you are looking for a local authentic mexican restaurant with reasonable prices and tasty food you have found it! Best refried beans in appleton. Guacamole is worth the 5.99 price tag. Highly recommend the horchata. Taco platter gives 3 Mexican style tacos and very large portions of rice and beans all for 7.99, the choices of filling for tacos are vast. read more

The food was authentic and the best Mexican cuisine that I have tasted since a wonderful visit to Frontera Grill in Chicago. The service was quick and friendly. The server was attentive and responsive. The ambiance was fairly typical of Mexican restaurants lined with booths in dark wood, with a cultural decor. read more

We love this place and I really don't want anybody else to know about this restaurant. We don't go anywhere else for authentic Mexican food in the Fox Valley. I'm afraid if too many ppl find out it'll change and we love it way too much! So please don't go there, don't order their amazing carne asada tacos, do not even think about ordering their Gorditas and please don't order a "piña" drink on the side. I'm going to also ask you not to order home delivery from them, you do not want your food delivered super fast, fresh and delicious. Just don't! read more

I love their food and great ppl and friendly I really love their yellow rice it's so so good and the place is great.

Friendly and quick service and authentic, delicious food. I love tacos and eat them often, these are on par with some of the best I've had. Ordered a taco al pastor and one carne asada. They accidentally gave me two carne asada but said not to worry it wouldn't be on the bill. read more

Anyone needing a place to eat good food come here. The hospitality in this place is awesome, my mom and I came in here not knowing much about Mexican food in the first place, and the waiter was super kind. He told us what was good here, and even told us his favorite food that wasn't in the menu! Seriously guys, if you're new to Mexican food, or you just need a place come here. The BEST tacos I've ever ordered in my entire life. They know what they're doing for sure. My favorite restaurant in the fox cities

Went to Fronteras last night (Friday) for a to go order and was very specific about no onions on my tacos that I wanted only cilantro. I even explained in Spanish regarding no onions. Of course I got my order and checked it before I left because this has happened before here and sure enough all 5 tacos were covered in onions. The order taker was nice enough to have the cooks remake my order and he did apologize. The issue now is I didn't get the right tacos I ordered originally. I was given chicken instead of Lengua which costs more. The carnitas taco to me was stuffed full of large pieces of fat out of spite I'm guessing. My wife ordered a Barbacoa taco and didn't get that either in her order. I don't like to be made to feel guilty when I was specific of what I wanted and the cook messed up not only once but then gave me the wrong meat that I ordered plus the fat taco instead of carnitas. The tacos we had were alright but this is becoming to frequently habitual when we visit this location. Please make your customers feel welcomed and pay attention to the orders. read more

The person working a few nights ago at the register would not stop saying things to my friends & I to make us supper uncomfortable. Comments about our appearance and creepy pick up lines. Non of us were enjoying it or even pretending to to be polite. He didn't stop either when we said it was enough and he could stop. Will not be going back and neither will any of my friends who I was with. read more
