We went on a Saturday and it was not busy at all, off time. It was our first time to the restaurant although they catered a friend's wedding over a decade ago. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon, a few tables inside and outside were occupied but not terribly busy. We started with the monthly special appetizer of zucchini fries which were fried well and came with a zippy chipotle ranch dip. I opted for a bowl of the tortilla soup and the lunch menu Mexican Caesar salad with grilled chicken. I ended up only getting a cup of soup (and thankfully charged for such) and the "served with table side flair" translates to pouring the broth into the bowl from a stainless steel coffee creamer pot. Though I do appreciate it kept the tortilla strips crispy it's not what I'd consider "flair" The salad, I really didn't know what to expect from a poblano Caesar dressing but it definitely wasn't anywhere near what i imagined. It first came out barely dressed, felt like it was tossed in oil and cotija cheese. I asked for more dressing and the waiter tells me "it's a Caesar so it's tossed in it" I told him I was aware but there's barely any dressing. He took it back and it definitely had more flavor but still nowhere close to resembling a Caesar nor did I taste poblano. Though the greens were crisp and the chicken had a good sear on it but was still tender and flavorful. My cousin got the inside out burrito which ended up being 70% rice inside and a scant bit of beans, lettuce and pico inside. On top, minimal sauce and a scattering of meats which again, props on the cook on the meat. Service was slow despite plenty of staff and minimal diners. Only one table seated after us and the majority of those already there when we arrived left before we got our food. All in all, not bad but not worth repeating. read more

What a great surprise. Many many years driving past this one and we finally stopped here. Good wine selection. Ok nice start. Wonderful apps. Guac=yum! Shrimp stuffed poblano, um yes please. So good! Pollo parado- you must try! So delicious although next time I will definitely say, half the cheese please. It was overloaded. Hubby had the mahi tacos and they were super fresh. Lots of food for two people so if you get apps on date night, you could share an entree for sure. Esp if you get 2 apps.... Always chips and salsa. Service was wonderful and very friendly. We went with family in early October and had been there a few times before. Originally reservation was for 8. One couldn't make it. We'd asked for extra chips for the guac and queso we ordered and were told it's a charge. Fine. We figured if a table for two gets free chips and salsa and we got one of those and paid for the others it wouldn't be a big deal. One diner ordered a margarita and the server accidently rang in two. She asked if the diner wanted it (didn't but after a bit of maybes took it and paid for it. Check backs were slow and drinks were empty. The food was fine no complaints but no one loved it. At the end, auto gratuity was on and receipt said party of 8. Person paying almost didn't catch it and as I was pointing it out the server told us they have to tip out the bartender. Low move. Several of us have been servers and not into that. We will not return. read more

This place is FANTASTIC! We had been to their food truck multiple times, but needed to try the restaurant. So glad we did. We are still in awe of how good the food was. The portion sizes are large. We started out our meal with the loaded queso. It was the typical cheese queso but topped with corn, black beans, spinach and ground beef. Then you mix it all up. Huge portion but sooo good. All the food was perfectly seasoned. I could not get over how fresh the ingredients were in the margarita. Muddled raspberries and I noticed bits of lime as well. I've never tasted such a good margarita in my life. Quinn our server was so polite and very knowledgeable! So glad we had him as our server! He was stating how everything is made fresh and in house. You could tell with its flavor how much pride this restaurant takes in its food/drinks. We had the inside out burrito and enchiladas. Can't wait to go back and try different foods. Restaurant is very safe during the pandemic. Sanitizer in bottle and individual wipes in 3 different places. Masks are required til you are seated. Saturday morning at the Farmer market I ordered the Brisket breakfast bowl From their food truck. The breakfast bowl showed up fast and hot the meat was tender with just the right amount of spices the ball also included cubed cubed breakfast potatoes scrambled eggscrambled eggs onions, tomatoes and peppers , topped with cheese. I got very excited that the mixed vegetables were a black bean and corn salad, but it was half warm/half cold (would have rather had all of it either all hot or all cold). Happy hour drinks were great: sangria and house lime margarita. Chips and salsa also good. Now for the "food". Ordered the carnitas. Fatty chunks of pork that looked like they were congealing for 2 days in a refrigerator. I was served unappealing gray, white congealed pockets of fatty lukewarm pork. While it tasted better than it looked, I could only eat half of one tortilla. The refried beans looked DAYS old: fried, refried, refrigerated, reheated, refrigerated, reheated, served. The shredded lettuce garnish was browning along the edges. I was served sad leftovers. read more

It's so hit or miss with this place. I can't put my finger on it. Recently it was a miss and it was 100% driven by the service. We received our drink order 25 minutes after we were seated. That's just not acceptable. We had a later reservation and the place wasn't very busy and there was plenty of staff there. Our waiter rarely checked on us so thank goodness we got a pitcher of drinks. So much time passed between the appetizers we ordered and our meal being served I wasn't hungry any more and didn't touch my entree (filled up on chips and dip while waiting forever). Glad I didn't touch my entree because the plate was the hottest plate I've ever experienced at a restaurant. Either it sat under the heat lamp for 20 minutes or it was nuked right before it was brought out. I guess if a waiter noticed I wanted my entire entree boxed up to take home I might have asked if there were any issues. Nope. Just a robotic "sure let me box up your entire untouched meal, I hope everything was great!" The food I'd rate a solid 4 or this would be a hard pass. I'm sure we will go back at some point as they have a couple dishes my wife loves. But we'd go a lot more often if they had better service. read more

After not updating my review for over a year, and having 5 bad experiences in a row, I had to reluctantly update my review to reflect. FIRST, the owners are not to blame. They are good people, who CARE about this place and they try hard. Kim can sling a mean drink. They are the reason I have not bumped the review rating down to 1 star. Service and food is the downfall. Anyone in the last 4 visits who has ordered chicken has said, or I have experienced that it is WAY overcooked. Yes, I understand that no restaurant wants to serve raw chicken to their guest, but do not cook it to the point where it is rubbery. I switched to shrimp one of the visits to avoid the chicken, and they were overcooked too. I have also been served avocados that are not ripe. I'm sorry, but even a person who doesn't know ANYTHING about food should be able to distinguish when cutting into an avocado that it isn't ripe. They also took our favorite dish off the menu, which is really disappointing. The chips have been brought to the table cold the last 4 visits, and they used to be served warm which was a nice touch. I miss the way the food used to be here. I know they have had a lot of turnover in the kitchen, and that is most likely the source of this disconnect of the good quality they used to have. The service is by far the worst part. If you are placing an order, and a waiter/waitress thinks they are earning points by not writing down your order, and then FORGETTING what you ordered, JUST NO. I have witnessed this on several occasions, where they don't write anything down and then forgot something I ordered, even when they are not busy. JUST. WRITE. IT. DOWN. Last night I ordered some dessert to go and it was flung on the table in a black bag with no "have a great evening" or "thanks for stopping in". She just walked away after throwing the bag on the table since she already had taken care of the bill. Sorry to say but 5 strikes and you are out for good. I've tried so many new things because of that. I've only sat at the bar because I'm always on my own but can't wait to bring a group for dinner soon. I wanted to love Osorio's so much, but it ended up just being "eh" for me. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, I enjoyed that very much. The seating was comfortable and not too close to the next table which was absolutely perfect. The service was awesome, we were greeted warmly upon entering, seated right away, and rarely had to wait long for a drink refill. I ordered the "burrito Grandiosos", sauce on the side, sour cream on the side. The chicken was good, but the steak was definitely cooked the night before, or earlier in the day and reheated. You know how when you grill a steak, refrigerate it, and reheat it and it has that not fresh, reheated taste? Yah, it was that. Also, The Poblano Rice,I ordered on the side, was mushy and just not good at all. I only ordered a water for my drink, but my dining companions all had happy hour drinks, and loved them.
