If you like lukewarm food and small servings with long wait times this is the perfect place. Waited over 20 minutes for a cocktail while the bar was empty and the restaurant wasn't even half full. took another 30-45 minutes for the entrees to come out and only one was hot. the rest were like warm, the burger was almost completely pink inside when it was requested well done. I ordered the shrimp and ribs and got a sauce dish full of rice with 5 pieces of shrimp on top. I wish I was joking. The Server herself was quite nice so we still tipped, the food itself was ok-ish but I won't be going back. read more

What can I say? It's good food at a decent price and the service was kind and prompt. I had a burger with fries and loved it. My daughter had an Alfredo pasta and loved it as well. Sunday afternoon. Restaurant appeared to be extremely understaffed . Waiting area was full of guests waiting , and restaurant wasn't even 1/4 full. Noticed only a few employees. Ordered an appetizer which took about 30 minutes. ( spinach dip which was excellent though ) Decided to go elsewhere instead of another long wait for entrees . Ordered Bloody Marys that were good , but disappointed when we were told they didn't include a chaser. First time in Wisconsin that has happened. We understand short staffing these days , but this seemed a bit extreme. Nice place otherwise. read more

Dined at Cheddar's tonight. I have eaten there twice before and was happy with the food. They were busy tonight and told us it could be a half an hour before our food was ready. We were OK with that. We had a nice new server. No manager ever came around to see how our meal was as they had done before. The croissant was delicious. The rest of our food was one notch above cold. If you like eating shoe leather, be sure to order the steak. Mine was black around the edges, grey and bone dry on the inside. I will dine elsewhere in the future. read more

I walked in stepped up to the to be seated counter and waited and waited. A young lady walked in behind me and we waited and then a young boy comes around the corner grabs a couple of menus and starts to seat me. I'm like there's just one. Never asked how many were in my group. What if I had five makes a difference what size table... Okay so it started off rough seats me in a booth and I wait and I wait and I finally look at my watch. I'm like I'm going to keep track 3 minutes after that. I still have had no one address me. No water. No one walked past me. I got up and walked out. I don't even think they had a clue... Took 5 min for the hostess to decide what section we were going to be sat in. Meanwhile, a group of 2 behind us was seated right away. There were only like 5 other groups in the entire restaurant at the time. Ordered an entree that came with a salad, and there was a dead bug on one of the lettuce leaves that I found after my second bite. I explained the situation to our server, Mallory, but wasn't offered a replacement or other side. Not even an apology. All of our baked potatoes came with sour cream after we specifically asked for them without. The chicken tenders were hard and cold when they arrived. My son disliked them. The salsa that came with the chips and queso appetizer was extremely watered down. This place was always a must stop on our way up to and down from Door County, but it's went extremely downhill in the past year, sadly. It was ice cold in the restaurant. On my way out, I stopped in the women's bathroom, there wasn't even a lock present on the larger stall. Really poor experience for the whole family. I felt uncomfortable the entire time. This was my first time visiting Cheddar's , and I was really impressed. Our server, Dominic, was awesome -- super kind, professional, and had perfect timing. He checked in with us here and there, never too much, but I never had trouble finding him when I needed something. I did have a small issue with my food, but the manager on duty handled it so well that it honestly made my experience even better. He came over personally, reassured me they'd fix it, and even though I said I was fine, he encouraged me to let them replace it. That was really thoughtful and says a lot about how much they care about their guests. The food was amazing and definitely a 5/5. and the place itself has this really nice vibe. Clean, cozy, and a little fancy without feeling uptight. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Friendly staff, great management, and awesome food. If you look through my reviews, you'll see I don't review chain restaurants; I usually avoid them altogether. Truth be told, a gift card brought me through the door. I was pleasantly surprised by my dining experience. The atmosphere is much nicer than I expected. Lots of dark wood gave it a true restaurant feel. It was clean, we were promptly seated and our waitress was not only helpful but cheerful. We ordered a couple of drinks to start the meal. I had a good pour on my bourbon coke. My dining partner enjoyed a drink off their specialty menu. When the bill came, the prices were reasonable. There is a little of something for everyone on the menu. I ended up with the smoked ribs and deep fried shrimp. They both were cooked well and had great taste. I didn't love the broccoli cheese casserole side but did like the red beans and rice. I guess some people like the complimentary bread/roll but it didn't do much for me. My dining partner enjoyed the chicken meal they ordered. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. It won't be in my regular rotation; however, I won't turn down another gift card to the restaurant. read more

This was my first time to Cheddar's, and I might come back tomorrow! Good and fast service. The dining room was very nice, dimmer lights with a pretty calm atmosphere. Loved it. The food was delicious. I got the country fried chicken with white gravy, baked potato and green beans as sides. It was all exceptional and fresh. The chicken was hot and crispy. The food here is really good and the prices are on par as well. The croissants and the chicken tender platter are the best things on the menu, so when you're craving those things it's 100% the place to go. I just wish the sides were better quality. We were there on Saturday evening, 2 of us. The service was terrible, server was short and not very friendly. I had the "melt in your mouth" tenderloin. there was nothing melt in your mouth about it. it was fatty and chewy. I had a side of baby carrots which came in a bowl with water in the bottom and were cold. I was so disappointed in service and food I will not go back. My friend had blackened salmon which was good, but his side of broccoli with cheese was also cold. Both the salmon and broccoli were served over rice. I feel a good server would have mentioned that and maybe a different side or vegetable would have been chosen Instead of getting 2 servings of rice. We will go back to Texas Roadhouse next time. May have to pay a little more but well worth it since you can actually eat the food you're paying for. read more

Went here with my wife today for our anniversary. Staff was very attentive and kind. We had the ribeye and chicken tender salad also spinach dip. It tasted good. Until both of us now have food poisoning and sick to our stomach. Would never eat here again and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

It was the first time that we have been to cheddar's scratch kitchen, but because I tend to favor restaurants that cook food fresh and from scratch, we decided that we most definitely needed to give this place a try. We are so glad that we did! I would like to start this review by recognizing our server, Kendall! She was an absolute joy!! Very friendly and personable, great sense of humor, and an overall Fantabulous personality!! We loved her! We will most definitely be requesting her as our server each and every time that we come back! The food was fantastically delicious! Fresh, and made from scratch, just as they claim! I had the chicken and pecan salad with steamed Broccoli and sweet green beans; Delicious!! My wife had the vegetable plate; also delicious!! They were cooked to perfection, as a NM/TX native I can say I have never had a steak anywhere else that even came close, until Cheddar's. Our waiter was amazingly friendly as was the manager. Sorry, no pics, was too good to waste time with a camera. Chicken tenders were exactly perfect. The country fried chicken was spectacular, son had the ribs and I stole one small bite (didn't even get stabbed) and they were sauced nicely and still had some crunch but were also crazy tender. I ate at Cheddars for the first time 1/19 at 4-430. The place is filthy, I don't think anyone sweep at least all day or longer. The kiosk at the table was filthy and our coffee cups had pink something on them. We asked for coffee, and I don't think that is common, we asked for a second cup and there wasn't any brewed??? We asked for butter for our baked potato, and they had to scoop in a cup? My steak was the special tenderloin, I could not chew it. I ordered a pasta dish that had onions in it and the waitress informed me that it all comes together with the onions and peppers together then the shrimp is just added last. Well, my pasta was overcooked and my shrimp still had the tails on it. Really? I have to pick through a sauced pasta dish with my fingers or lose part of my shrimps? To go past these things the spices were good. My companion had steak that was good and fries were delicious. The service had much to be desired. But, it was a nice looking place. It appeared to be clean enough, other than napkins under our table. I had the talapia and shrimp dinner with broccoli casserole and red beans and rice as a side. Since I ordered our dinner to go my dish came in a tri-section take-away. The well seasoned fish sat on a generous portion of rice with 4 shrimp and topped with a sauce that had me almost licking the plate. I liked the red beans a rice. A bit on the dry side but it had the flavor I loved. A croissant with a slightly sweet glaze. I will visit this restaurant if I ever get back to this area read more
