Any building supply that you need, you will find it there with excellent services. But they are so far away.

(Until it's done and you see how awesome they are and start asking yourself why didn't we do this sooner?!) I also waited to do this review until at least 4 months after the install to make sure all was ok. 4 months later all is great! Here are the facts and timeline: It took us 3 years to pull the trigger. Reviews are important and when we saw the reviews below + the costs of windows we got nervous... But!!!!! 1- Our visit to their office was exceptional - they took the time with us to show us all the details about the various types of windows 2- Came out and measured 2 times, once in 2021 and again in 2023 when we pulled the trigger :) - AZ has some weird shaped windows and we needed to be sure they could handle ours 3- They are a main supplier for contractors BUT the benefit of that to the rest of us is better, even less than half the pricing of competitors out there while still giving the high quality windows we wanted which made them a lead contender for us 4- We had the opportunity to have them replace a sliding glass door through an earlier job in 2021 that showed us the kind of great work they do, quality and attention to detail in the install 5- 2023- It was finally time b/c our single pane windows were terrible. We called and got our new quote (Matt was a our sales gentleman and he was great and very communicative, got back to us quickly and even hung in there with us patiently as we tried to decide over 2 years!) Quote had gone up due to inflation but not terribly. We were required to pay 50% upfront (yes that's scary) but all window places required that, remaining 50% 4 days before the install 6- Install team- Aaron was AMAZING- as the "Lead Installer" he handled everything that needed to get done with this install- right down to the very difficult rounded entry window that took some finesse to get it right. All installers were kind, respect of our property, completed the job, and took no shortcuts. 7- They fixed all the stucco post install that needed fixing - it was perfect! 8- They do NOT paint after the job so we managed getting a painter post install- not a big deal to us about it that at all I know making the decision to get new windows is hard- it's costly, it effects your home, it can be disruptive- but it's by far the best purchase decision I made in 2023 and already is saving more than half off my electric bill monthly. I would go back to R&K again if I need new work but my windows are done! :) - Thank you to Aarons entire team - you did awesome!

The 2 notable ones are Tracy and Dennis. Let me start with Dennis first. They remodeled their store and now the fasteners/nuts/bolts area has been expanded and I love this. Most of the time I come it's because I need some fitting that broke or something with something I have and I don't need 100 of them, just 1 or a few. All the Ace Hardwares are perfect for this and I've never NOT found what I needed. Dennis has helped me most of the time when I come, which isn't too frequent, but maybe a few times a year. He is always very patient. Sometimes it's with a project and he offers suggestions. Thank you, Dennis. Tracy is a newer person for me from the past year. I don't remember why I came in, but he was the person to help me. He's retired from his career and just wanted to still work, but not in a high pressured career. We've had some really great conversations. He is very personable and super, super helpful. I needed to fix my dripping shower faucet and asked him for suggestions. He gave me lots of sound advice, which all of them really helped me. Unfortunately this Ace did not have the parts I needed for my particular showers, but the advice he gave was invaluable and saved me hundreds of dollars. I was able to change out the shower spout, handle, shower heads with new stuff and all by myself. This turned out to be fairly easy, so I thought why not to tackle my master bath, that had similar shower fixtures. The master bath was a little trickier, and took a bit longer, but I was able to change all the shower fixtures minus the drains all by myself without incident and everything is working great. I did this back over 3 months ago and everything still works fantastically. Tracy did advise that replacing the drains was a bit more difficult. He didn't say don't do this, but the thought of having to perhaps replace plumbing and the showers did not appeal to me. So, the drains remained. I also wanted to change out the sink faucet in the first bathroom. He talked about the hard water deposits we have and how to replace the faucet. He showed me a tool, a sink wrench, to help me loosen and get into tight spaces. My husband really was the one that went under the sink to do all this. I am grateful. This was a bit more difficult than we had hoped because whomever installed the prior faucet really glued EVERYTHING down well, which required my husband to use a DeWalt cutting tool to get the parts out. Since the first bathroom turned out well, we also did the Master Baths both faucets - replacing them. Thank you, Tracy, for your guidance and direction in this, for caring enough to be specific to empower me/us to do these repairs to our home and saving hundreds in labor and not needing to call out a plumber to do all this. Both Dennis & Tracy are true assets to this Ace Hardware location. Thank you for caring about your customers and going above and beyond every time. God bless you and the rest of the employees here.

    Sunbelt Rentals

Corporate shills, powerless cowardly minions, a complete lack of interest in the customer, and an…read moreabsence of conscience. That is what you will find at Sunbelt Rentals in Goodyear, Arizona. I found a fossil site 44 years ago and finally had the means to put together a non-profit, a little bit of cash, and some paleontologists who would excavate. The site is where the creature died 17,000 years ago in the sand dunes near Yuma on the Marine Corps Air Station Gunnery Range. The nearest road is a mile away so I planned to camp the crew on the road and use a UTV to transport people and equipment to the site. This was needed because driving to the site with anything but a light 4x4 with deflated tires would be impossible and because MCAS forbids random travel over the dunes. It is not a recreation area. I rented a 3/4 ton truck, picked up the UTV at Sunbelt and the field work began. First morning, flat tire, no spare. Thank god the paleontologist crew had an old can of fix-a-flat rolling around in their truck. I got two and a half round trips out with the engine taking longer and longer to catch on starting. The last time the engine would start was, of course, a mile away from camp in the sand dunes. We checked everything we could with the few tools we had. Pulled the spark plug (which required walking back to the campsite, finding a tool, and also a jump starter battery, and walking back to the UTV), examined the fuel line and fuel injector as best we could . We made sure we had spark and gas flowing into the cylinder. Diagnosis: bad gas in the tank, possibly fouled injector. Everyone had to walk all the way back carrying shovels, cameras, tripods, tools, etc. Next day conversations with Sunbelt indicated we are "out of their service area" and therefore, on our own. Meaning, if we simply left it, they would charge me for replacement. They "offered" to send someone there who would not actually do anything useful, such as drain the tank, flush and clean fuel line and injector. The "offer" was a fake. So my son, whom I love very much, left work and came out from Tucson in his jeep, with everything we might need, while I ran to Yuma and purchased traction boards. We were given verbal permission from MCAS to drive to the site if necessary so we did that. We replaced the spark plug first -- no good. Then, three hours of work sucking gas out of a garden hose we finally emptied the tank. Lo and behold the gas was cloudy and we could see clumps of varnish in the bottom. Finally got clean gas back in with some fuel line cleaner. Put it all back together and she started! Yay! Drove it out back to the trailer and loaded it on. The 4x4 Ford 250 pulling the trailer got stuck in the sand by the road so my son had to pull me along to the road. I will say this, Sunbelt kept the shop open for a whole half hour extra so I wouldn't have to keep it and the truck another day. Dear readers, if you rent from these guys, I sure hope nothing goes wrong because they will cut you loose in a heartbeat. And then threaten you with replacement costs and all manner of overages. Nice place, I highly recommend! (Not!)
