I was referred here by a friend to order interior doors and molding. Dealt with jose in June 2022 . Place order 8 doors and said to be delivered 3 weeks. Ok. After 3 weeks , the very next day for delivery , he called said it delay for 2 more weeks because shipment delay etc etc as usual . Funny how he didn't know until the next day for delivery. Ok now another 2 weeks but next day he send me 2 doors and molding that I ordered separately . Well that 2 doors was wrong size . So another weeks lead to another few days late. Finally got the door .Because we are in the rush, we painted and installed the door .then saw 2 doors were bend and closing the door left a small gap. I always try to support local businesses but I won't do it again with them. Even though the manager had apologized but damage is done. Very disappointing. read more

I'm extremely disappointed in this business and WOULD NOT recommend them! We were told our large order of doors was IN stock and a week out, we chose the door because it was IN stock as we have a timeline. Great we thought. Our contractor ordered them the next day and was told 3 weeks out. We thought ok, that's not too bad, but not sure why they lied initially. After 3 weeks, they tell us they have not even ordered the doors yet! And it may be 2 more weeks but "no promises" WTH????? Then they say they are looking at orders that are 3 months behind! I get it, people get busy, but to not be upfront, just to get a sale I have no tolerance for. They lied, mislead and wasted all of our time. The manager is a Jerk. They charged a 20% restocking fee and was an absolute jerk when we asked if he could reduce is a little. The employee was a jerk too. "Its just business" they said. Good price all in all but very rude and you have to wait on hold for 15 minutes. read more

Sent an email with two different doors and sizes that we needed for a project. The quote came back for one of the doors and we wanted to proceed with the offer. The sales rep had some out of office issues and we ended up going down in person to finalize the order. The original rep was still not available, so we met with another rep Jose and gave him the quote information and ordered the door. The door arrived today and was not the correct size. It appears Jose changed the size from requested but the price was the same for the smaller door. Called today to try and resolve and was told there is a no return policy and that the other quote would have been wrong too so we are out of luck. If you choose to order from here Jose is not the sales rep you want to work with. They do not stand by their mistakes and are not willing to even accept partial responsibility. This company is by far the best door and trim company I've been to. Not only am I a painting contractor; I'm also a private consultant for inspecting construction projects, scheduling trades, and coordinating projects for clients. We have had some real shoddy workmanship by Home Depots suppliers and their subcontractors on my own house and several clients homes. All of the doors we have put in from discount door and trim in Mesa have been perfect. So happy we found this place! My husband has been doing some home renovations and we need 2 big doors to complete our office. We did lots of shopping around & discount door and trim had the lowest prices. It's super easy to buy through their website but I wanted to make sure we got everything right, so we went into the office. Jordan was the guy that helped us and he was great!! I found this business on Craigslist because I just needed a cheapie hollow core pocket door to replace one that had a hole in it at my old place. Prices were pretty good for a custom sized door; under $40 compared to $110 at Home Depot. This doesn't include painting or any drilling. I suppose if you ask nicely they will do it for you. We left our order and called back a week later, but there was no door. The wrong door size had been sent. A few days go by with no call until we finally reach someone a few days later, no messages had been returned. They finally had the door and when we picked up the door a few days later, it was still not quite ready and we had to wait until they finished. So in summary, they have what you need for cheap prices but they have really slow service and unorganized communication. You get what you pay for but at least the door was good quality. read more

Save yourself some trouble and do not waste your money here. We ordered trim in August which had to be paid for before they would place an order. They said they had to order it and would call us when it came in. A month later I called to ask about my order and they said it wouldn't be in until end of November and they would call when it came in. November 17 I called and they said it came in but they wanted to go and find it just to make sure and call me back. They called back 2 days later and said they don't have it anymore and that it came in during October but they do not call customers to tell them that it is the customer who should call them. read more

Stopped by to pick up some molding. Not a single employee were wearing a mask or observing any form of social distancing. Went back to a different building to pick up my molding, none of those employees had masks on either. The President said wearing masks is patriotic, no patriots here! They also messed up my order and gave me the wrong molding. I think I'll just eat the $20 instead of going back. Looks like I have been going here for for the last 4 years whenever I have been doing updated in the house related to door and trim. Whether you are a house flipper and need builder grade door knobs and locks or baseboard for the whole house this is a place to check out. They deliver all over the valley. This last time when I bought I took 4 16ft sticks of baseboard in my pickup that has 8 ft bed all the way to central phoenix with no issues. They can chop it up smaller if needed or they will deliver too. The owner showed me a trick where if you have your stake holes stick a piece of wood in there tape your trim around it and have it rest on your mirror up front. Very nice helpful staff. Marshall has been there for a while and always easy to deal with the owner is also very hands on and helpful as well. read more

It is 11:30 on a Saturday and while the website says they are open the store is closed, nobody is here and there isn't a sign or anything on the door. They don't answer the phone either. Another car just pulled up tried the door and left. This is a terrible way to do business and I would rather spend twice the money to work with a professional company. How this company is still in business is a total mystery. Phone calls not returned, emails never acknowledged, delays without notification. Absolute zero communication. It has taken over a week to get an estimate and I'm still waiting. I call everyday and Chris says he's getting to it and then nothing happens. Miguel says its better for them if I come in to the shop to get an estimate. Really? Better for them if I drive across town for an estimate? I was looking for a reasonable price on baseboard. I didn't need to place a telephone call, because I knew I was going to need to see the trim up close and personal. The hours of operation are clearly stated on the Discount Door and Trim store website. I simply drove over and arrived unannounced and unexpected. The store is a little tricky to find, but no problems at all. As other reviewers have remarked- it is a small operation. I was warmly greeted by Miguel and I explained what my needs were. He gave me tons of samples and I left without buying a thing. I'm really picky about these choices! On my second trip back I placed an order....and then I changed my mind. Arrrgggh! I hate doing that but sometimes things like that happen! I was embarrassed and expecting huge restocking fees. However none of that happened. Miguel said no big deal and we changed my order on a Thursday and it arrived the following Tuesday- my choice of delivery date. One item did not get delivered and they brought it the following morning. I have no complaints with this company-I think they are great! I will definitely return and recommend them to my friends.
