My husband brought it to Timber Woodworking Machinery under the impression that they could handle the repair process. He was told that the Festool representative comes in on Fridays and that he could leave the saw there (without the box), and the rep would pick it up and send it to Festool for warranty repair. We expected a relatively quick process--maybe two or three weeks. Instead, two months later, we were still calling for updates and receiving no clear answers about when we would get the saw back. No one could even provide a rough estimate. For a company associated with a premium brand like Festool, this level of communication was disappointing. Timber would not provide me with a direct contact number for Festool and continued giving the same vague explanation: that a part was delayed coming from Germany and nobody knew when it would arrive. I eventually found Festool's service ceneter's number myself and began communicating with them directly. After multiple conversations with Festool--one of which became unpleasant enough that it had to be escalated to management--we finally received a call from a Festool customer service manager, Melinda. She informed us that because the repair had taken so long, Festool would be replacing the saw with a brand-new unit. Finally, some good news. Unfortunately, none of that progress came from Timber Woodworking Machinery. We had to advocate for ourselves every step of the way. Less than a week later, Timber called to let us know our replacement saw had arrived. I went to pick it up immediately and was actually prepared to leave them a positive review despite the long delay. However, less than an hour after I got home, I received a call from shop manager Ray Ann claiming there had been a mix-up and asking me to return the Sustainer box and manual because they supposedly belonged to another customer. Seriously? At that point, my confidence in the entire process was gone. After months of poor communication, lack of updates, and confusion surrounding the replacement, this final incident only reinforced my impression that the repair process was poorly managed from start to finish. Festool ultimately resolved the issue by replacing the saw, and I appreciate them standing behind their product. Unfortunately, my experience with Timber Woodworking Machinery's repair department fell far short of the level of service we expected.

I told the salesman that I didn't want or need or order the frames I also said I ordered handles for the doors but he said that was not included. I told him to refund me the frames and get me a price on the handles. He told me the handles were the same price as the frames (hard to believe) I asked for a refund for the frames and they said all orders were final and no refunds are issued. They have terrible customer service UPDATE. After several bad reviews written on multiple sites I got a refund but the quality of the doors are not worth the money

I believe Matt charged a reasonable price for his work and time. He was prompt and worked around my schedule, and I have some piece of mind knowing my door should be operational for some time to come.

However, upon arrival, there was an explanation of always replacing the spring that just doesn't make sense to me especially with the original spring being 5 years old. In all honesty, I should have gotten a second opinion and waited to do the repair but Stellar had installed the door about 5 years ago and I was happy with that service so I decided to go ahead and have them do this repair. All in all, I'm not sure I see the value for the money.

West Coast Flooring was the subcontractor on an insurance claim I handled through Tactical…read moreRestoration, and unfortunately I would not recommend either company. West Coast charged premium prices for poor-quality work and obvious corner-cutting. At the time, I didn't scrutinize the cost as closely since insurance was paying, but in hindsight the combination of overcharging and subpar workmanship is unacceptable--especially on a flood mitigation project. They installed LVP flooring throughout my home. Early on, their mistakes actually worked in my favor: they tore out the wrong tile and had to replace additional flooring at no cost to me. While this may have been partly due to Tactical Restoration's poor communication and lack of coordination, it still reflects a broader pattern of carelessness on the job. About two years after installation, the flooring began to cup and shift. I brought in multiple independent flooring contractors for repair estimates (around $1,500), and every one of them said the same thing--the floor was not installed correctly. There was inadequate expansion space, no transitions, and likely no vapor barrier, which is especially concerning given the flood-related nature of the work. Unfortunately, the issues surfaced just beyond the state's two-year warranty window, leaving me with no practical legal recourse. When I raised these concerns, I encountered deflection and avoidance rather than accountability. Tactical Restoration eventually acknowledged that corners had been cut, but claimed the steps they skipped were not "legally required" at the time. Regardless, manufacturer guidelines exist for a reason. I still tried to resolve the situation reasonably and asked for a fair quote to fix the problems and move on. The quote I received was $2,484--nearly $1,000 higher than every other contractor I consulted. Overall, the experience reflects poor workmanship, inflated pricing, and a lack of responsibility. I would not use West Coast Flooring again.
