My Wife and I went in to look at rock for our front yard (7200sqft). When we walked into the office they were busy with other customers so we patiently waited for our turn. Another gentleman walked in and the older guy behind the counter asked what he needed rather helping us. So we waited till he was done. Now it our turn to ask about some rock. My wife has a picture of some rock she likes and wanted to match it. The guy said "I can't tell anything from a picture, if you want to look our rip rap is outside at the end of the office." So we walked out and went to J&J landscaping materials in Mesa AZ and were treated great. read more

A&A always does a great job and love stopping in as Mike and staff always have a smile and happy to help! Answer questions and always make it a great stop and my list of errands to run. Great pricing and staff! Highly recommended and always great quality! read more

Friendly staff inside that helped us order some boulders for our yard. We picked several that looks really nice and the price wasn't bad at all. They have a bunch to choose from on their lot. They did offer delivery which is a lifesaver consider how heavy they are. Our rocks were delivered the same week. Delivery guy showed up on time and was friendly. He used the crane on his truck to place them exactly where we wanted them. All in all, it was a easy experience and would come back here again. read more

I called multiple gravel companies that were not very friendly or helpful, especially after I told the I was just some homeowner. A & A materials was completely different. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and patient. Great priceses too. I wish I could remember the name of the guy originally spoke with or the woman I ended up placing the order with because they were amazing. The gentleman who I first spoke with took the time to answer my questions about gravel in a friendly and professional manner. The even recommend an amazing company to spread the gravel for me, as I needed 74 tons. I could not recommend A&A more. read more

They were reasonable they were prompt they were ready to deliver, however, they dumped it into the street after I had asked for it to be dumped on 12 x 20 pad next to the walkway... this caused several problems... for me. read more

Very easy experience from ordering to delivery. You can go on site to get samples of what you are wanting and then you can call in to place your order based on the square footage. They recommended 2 inches of coverage but we did 1 inch and it was fine for our front yard. They offer free delivery with over 14 tons of rocks purchased depending on your zip code. The person who is dropping off the delivery will call you when they are on your way. They will deliver them right in the front yard if you would like. Very simple process and would order from them again! read more

We ordered 12.5 tons of Apache Brown 1 inch landscaping stone. It was supposed to be screened but consisted of at least a third of it was soil/dirt which is not what we ordered. There was also a fair amount of white/concrete stone included. Stay away from this company, it really seems they were trying to pull a fast one. Terrible service. read more

I picked up a half ton of screened fill dirt from A&A for a small backyard project. It was very quick and easy service for a great price. Just what I needed. Thank you! read more

I bought 3 tons of 1 inch white marble from here. Delivery arrived on time. The entire process was super simple and efficient.

Couldn't be more pleased. I had three deliveries of fill and granite brought to my home in Scottsdale. The prices were very good, delivery was super fast, and the dump truck drivers were masters, placing the material **exactly** where I asked (multiple smaller piles). Staff was super helpful as well and offered great suggestions for colour choice and sizing. read more

Been here a couple of times, most recently to order 20 tons of rock/sand to complete the natural Sonoran desert landscaping in my backyard. They have always been awesome to deal with! On my most recent 20 ton order, Stephanie went out of her way to help me with a special request for delivery, and they were able to squeeze me in early (This GREATLY helped, in that it allowed the landscapers to get an early start on a hot summer day!)! Wayne made the delivery, and did a great job of squeezing the dump truck into a fairly tight fitting alley. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend A & A!! read more

Super easy to work with and able to get my delivery set within 2 days from order. Delivery driver, Cory, was great to work with and dropped my delivery off right where I wanted it so spreading the gravel in my yard was easy, well as easy as 5 tons can be. read more

Loved that they have such a nice variety of rock/gravel side by side so you can compare colors so easily. I also really appreciate that their delivery guy wears a mask, is super friendly and accommodating, even made sure the gravel didn't prevent our trash cans from being picked up by rolling our cans in front of the gravel pile. Great service from all the guys there, and both the price and the selection can't be beat! Thank you Gentlemen!!! read more

I needed to fill in some bald spots in my backyard and A&A was one of the first decent-looking links on my Google search. So, on a hot Saturday morning a few weeks ago I dragged my wife here. This was my first time buying rocks so I had no idea what to expect. As soon as I pulled up I knew I was out of my element and somewhat intimidated. However, the staff there were very friendly and helpful and I was able to get what I needed. From weighing your car to finding the right rock pile to shoveling the rocks into bags......it was an interesting experience to say the least! Also, I don't know the going rate for rocks but this place seems to have a good price. I've been there twice now and probably bought 500 pounds of rocks for a total of like $25 which seems pretty good to me. read more

Earlier today, I was in a bind because the landscaping company I bought river rock from did not deliver it when they said they would. If I changed the delivery time, then the guys who were hired to spread the rock would not be able to do it. I was in a big bind! I called A&A materials and explained the situation and they said they could have my small load(1.5 tons) delivered in the time today that I needed it. Bonus..it was cheaper, too! The product I ordered from A&A was on-time and a super quality ( I ordered river rock--no crappy aggregate mixed in at all--). I just want to give a shout out to A&A for superior customer service, they went above and beyond on this holiday weekend! Thank You!! Trust me, we will be telling all of our neighbors how helpful you all were and how good your rocks were! PS, If you are wondering about my Parkville, MD address...I am at my sister's house in Scottsdale...I had this all delivered for her! read more

Great company! Friendly employees, great product selection. Delivery times were flexible and on-time! Looking forward to my next rock order!

Best price and service on rock in town! Delivery was quick and on time. Have used 3 times now while remodeling our landscape and never had a problem with product or service. read more

Of all the rock materials yards you could work with these are probably the nicest and most helpful personnel in the city. They reflect a very wholesome work ethic and put fairness and diligence above profit. It doesn't get better than this as a supply experience. Keep up the good work read more

I ordered 7 tons of rock. Approximately 1 ton of it was dirt. The office person and driver were friendly and the driver put the rock exactly where I wanted. But the quality was extremely poor. For comparison, I ordered rock from two other companies in the past and the quality was good. read more

Third time using this company. People are super nice. I saved over $200 using them vs J&J. No delivery charge...I ordered a lot of rock. The other company was going to cut me a break as I live around the corner...less than a mile. They would only charge $35. Go with A&A...I did the work for you. Cheaper, nicer, and easy to deal with. read more

Did not call beforehand as promised. Dumped the gravel 25 feet out of the way. Customer service was belligerent. Never left an invoice and when I called to get one emailed they never sent it. Taking my business elsewhere! read more

Great place to buy rock. They had a great selection of boulders far better than the 2 places I went to in the North Valley. The driver was very nice, he showed up on-time, and he went out of his way to get the pile in my front yard wear I wanted it. read more
