Roller coaster ride with their customer service. They're like the grumpy and would not acknowledge you exist. Their products are beautiful but they are too lazy to put labels on them and pricing. Also very disorganized they cannot even tell me what the name of slab they displayed right outside their entrance. Then they forgot to get back to me as I waited. I asked again and they said that the guy he was asking for the pricing was "out for lunch". Then I asked a guy for a small sample of another slab as the one lying around was too heavy to carry. So this other guy behind the counter says they had one and someone else can find it for me. Then I made a mistake of thinking this other troll-like creature was going to help me. Oh, that was a huge mistake to ask this other guy for the sample as he angrily reacted in a loud voice saying "no one asked me to find a sample." He said these words wayyy to many times like he had some anger issues. The "Imperial House of Horrors" is my new name for this company. Wow! I did not have to go very far and pay these guys to be so grumpy... Right outside their warehouse is a "Need Help" sign. Oh, yeah, they need help with their bad and lazy attitude indeed! LOL! Not sure how the owners of this company care about their reputation but they have an appallingly dismal service. Horrifying halloweenish experience right around this season. read more

A guy getting a pedicure in my nail shop heard me ask the owner if he knew of any places to buy vinyl floor tile near East Mesa and told me about this place. We had looked at a big box hardware store first but decided to try Imperial. Eric greeted us and showed us exactly what we wanted for $1 less per sq ft than the other store! Poor customer service and borderline fraudulent conduct. Went in several times deciding on material. First 2 visits went well, talked to Allen about porcelain slabs and the increased install price and decided it was worth it. 3rd time I came in I worked with Luke. Asked to write up an estimate, which came back much higher than expected. The labor was 25% higher than verbally quoted by allen, which could be a mistake who knows, but the materials were 30% higher than what was STILL posted on the slabs outside. When I inquired over email why I was told freight had gone up, which again fine. But I brought up that the price was still marked on the slabs I chose from, Luke didnt seem to care and was short and rude. Even if theyd come back to the initial price posted and verbally given, I'd rather take my money some place else. If you are a homeowner, they don't care about you or your money. You are small fries to them compared to a contractor. Their prices are low, but remember that when you start a job, if they dont care about you before they get your money, how much will they once its already in their pockets. read more

Over 90% of the reviews I post at Yelp are for restaurants. For those the typical things that are important to people are quality of food, quality of service, price, cleanliness and ambience. None of those things apply to a place like Imperial Wholesale. I came in without knowing anything about them, looking for a vanity countertop for my guest bath remodel. They turned out not to be the right place for my needs but that is no reason to post anything negative about them - they are what they are. And what are they? From my visit they are a place for contractors to choose from an incredible variety of huge pieces of countertop raw materials and flooring/tile raw materials. I stress that word raw materials because this is not Home Depot or any place like it that a casual DIY'er or homeowner should be shopping (or reviewing). There is nothing here on a small scale and they are not interior decorators. They were clear to me that they don't do any cutting or consultation, they just supply the raw materials and from what I saw their selection is amazing, I saw colors and patterns I never saw anywhere else. I'm almost shocked that they are located in a low-key area of Apache Junction but that's probably to keep their rent low. Because of the nature of their business don't expect slick high-commission salesmen in expensive suits to swoop down and cater to your every whim. The staff that I saw were very busy doing their jobs and all seemed pretty nice. The guy who walked around with us and tried to help us find something for my minor remodeling project was very professional and helpful. I can't really speak to prices because, being a place that deals in wholesaling to contractors, the subject of pricing is on a per job basis. I looked at a couple of awesome stone sinks that I had a good idea of what the street value should be and based on that I would say it looks like Imperial Wholesale is in the ballpark for high-end supplies - I didn't get the impression that they are a discount store for people on a shoestring budget. I do have a tiling project coming up for my master bath and for that I know I'll be back to see what they can do for me. read more

I don't recommend working with imperial. We ordered tile and was not told it was considered "custom" - not a problem except when they give us two boxes of smashed tile upon pick up. So no problem they offer to replace since observed prior to placing in our vehicle right. Wrong. They're still have not provided the tile 3 weeks later and we still cannot finish our project (shower). So we called them and let them know we would like to just receive a refund for those two boxes because we found other tile to use to complete the shower and they said nope. "Sorry custom order nothing we can do, you will have your tile 6/18. It is now 6/19 they still do not have our tile and this is the third date they've given us with no call of delay so we have had to cancel workers multiple times last min. Do your self the favor and choose another tile company. read more

Do not trust this company, I'm astounded by their lack of customer service. They messed up our floor installation, admitted they messed up, and have decided they aren't going to make the situation right. Imperial came recommended to us, so we utilized them. We shopped for our stone, had a good selection to choose from! That's is basically the end of the service from there. Considering the recommendation we moved forward. 1. Did not have anyone assist in identifying the right stone we wanted for our project. We basically found it. Then waited at the customer service area, just to wait longer for service to tag and buy the product. 2. In buying the product, we requested quotes for install, which we got. That's basically the end of the customer service we got. 3. Purchased product and Imperial contracted with a stone cutter and installer 4. Installer missed three install dates. Avoided calls 5. Imperial deflected blame onto the installer on multiple phone calls. Upon many attempts to get help from them, I was met mostly with resistance and, "I'll call you back." No call backs were received. 6. I went physically into Imperial, showed my receipt, gave the step by step issue with the installer they assigned, only to be questioned by Imperial. 7. Finally, installer came. They came WiTHOUT my remnant pieces which I notified Imperial. 8. Response was, " let me call them, I will call you back." Does anyone think I got a call back. Do not waste your money here. You get no customer service and absolutely no follow through that your product and project will be a success. read more

We had the old original 20+ year shower now replaced with modern tile and oil rubbed bronze beautiful fixtures. Andres did beautiful tile work while Hugo did amazing plumbing work. Their prices plus the selection make us always turn to Imperial Wholesale. Absolutely horrible. Do not shop here! We have a $700 credit. They did NOT give us a receipt but told us it would be in the computer system. When my husband went back they said we had to have receipt, and that they changed computer systems so they "have no record of it". They didn't care, or apologize. Horrible customer service. I honestly don't understand all the negative responses for Imperial Wholesale, all the guys there have been great at helping me through a building disaster. From helping me with flooring, tile, etc., and all the installers are amazing too. If you have a problem with customer service, look at the big picture of what these guys are dealing with everyday. I've seen some customers come in there and get up in their face for no reason. Soooooo, make sure your measurements are correct before you go in and don't blame them for mistakes. (unless they measured it for you, then I'm sure they would do something to help you with the problem) They are all great. read more

We were fortunate enough to have John the store owner, help us with selecting the right tile for our family & dining room floors. John was very patient and took the needed time in helping us with our selection. He has extensive experience that we were able to draw from. We also were appreciative of Luke who works at the counter and ended up special ordering our tile. The tile was shipped to their store within the time specified. This company is hilarious I have no idea how they stay in business I've been after them for almost 3 months to get somebody out of the house to get an estimate my insurance company requested a second estimate first one was for $17,000 and the second estimate they gave me came down to 8000 and the guy doesn't really know I don't think he's all there that they sent over he was just in a hurry cause I said Maricopa it's too far away and he really didn't feel like doing the job out here I spent three months dealing with these people and it's just absolutely useless I do not recommend them they don't keep their word and do you know John doesn't really want to deal with the with the with the issue read more

This store emphasizes tile and stone. There is a reasonable variety to choose from, and the prices are pretty good. They also have a large "special order" selection. If you're looking for tile or stone for your project I would start here. They allow you to buy samples and return them later, so you can put them in your house and see how they look. It can be hard to get someone to help you. They are generally very busy and perhaps could use an extra sales person or two. But when you do get one they are helpful. read more

They couldn't help me find the tile I was looking for, when I asked for their help they said to go match it up by myself. Found a decent match and paid a premium per square foot. They told me it would be 10 day until it comes in. Day 10 was not in so they said to call back four days later. Four days later I called and was told it no longer is made. So what are they too good to call and let me know this. Not only did them not letting me know push back when my home would be finished by 2-4 weeks but is gonna cost me a decent amount of money. By far the worst experience I've ever had with a company not being considerate or on the ball after spending almost a $1,000 on tile at 5.99 a square foot. read more

I will never use Imperial Wholesale again! It took over 2 months to get my tile from Mexico. It was quoted by Cam to take 3 weeks. I called to check status and Mike, the Manager told me that due to pandemic their deliveries are late and he "can't fulfill my order. I then redesigned my plans based on not getting my product. I left many messages with Judy , Kelsey, Mike to call me back to get a refund. No return phone calls! My wife tried calling and spoke with some rude guy named Luke. A week later Imperial called and said my order was in and to come pick it up. What? I thought they couldn't get my order !!!! I was told I couldn't get a refund even though I didn't have their tiles in hand! They rudely said there was nothing they could do. I said I would never do business with them again. We needed 20 18x18 travertine 1/2" thick tiles to finish a repair/remodel job in one of our bathrooms. Let me say first that all of the employees were great and so nice. They had tiles very similar in color and pattern but they were 18x36" so we purchased 10 18x36 tiles. we paid $578 dollars and the sales person told us they would bring them out in a few minutes. we waited outside for about 25 minutes and my wife went in and asked very politely how much longer they thought it would be. she came back out and a few minutes later the owner came out and said with an attitude well you know they have to hand load 45 tiles. we corrected him and said there are only 10 tiles and we were wondering how much longer thats it. The owner turned and walked away as the employee pulled up on the fork lift, the owner said over the radio that we were just being impatient Blah blahs...... use your imagination. We could see him on the radio and heard it over the guy on the forklifts radio. So we said something to the guys that came out to help us load the tiles and they confirmed he was the owner. If me asking how much longer after waiting almost a half our on 10 tiles is being impatient Okay I guess. This place is amazing! A large slab yard of Granite. Along with a vast show room of mosaics and every other kind of tile you can think of. Want to send a shout out to Paul and the staff. We had tile laid three years ago and needed to replace three. The product was available but under a different name and company. They tracked it down and placed the order. When it came in it was the wrong color. Paul, the General Manager, got right on it and ensured us he'd get us the correct color. Even though we only needed two boxes, he went out of his way to make good on the product. It came in, it's the right color. Now that's customer service! We've been buying from Imperial for years. Good prices, good selection and knowledgeable staff. Also, the ladies in the back are also awesome. We found a tile we liked and they said they had enough to cover our order. I purchased 26 boxes and was coming to pick it up on Monday. First I got a call that there was a mistake and they didn't have the correct amount but they could order more at the same price. Then I got a call that they could order more but at a higher price. When we went down to pick up the boxes they did have they said they could not order more at all. Horrible customer service from the Manager. Mandy tried to help but was caught over her head. My wife and I bought quartz countertops here paid almost $5,000 for them and 5 months later they had 2 cracks in them. We went back and forth between the installer and manufacturerfor weeks. The manufacturer after looking at pictures they requested blamed us for putting something hot on them which WE DID NOT. The installer stopped returning my wife's calls.To date they have done absolutely nothing to resolve this issue. Do not do business with these people. read more

Found my counter tops there AND the most beautiful back splash ever! Did not see either of them anywhere else - this is a family owned business with two locations. I have only been to Mesa, but between Cameron, Luke and John, I will never go anywhere else! Materials are high quality, the service is amazing - no high pressure, real service - saw some slabs I liked and they pulled them all out so I could see the entire slab - needed 3 slabs and they were amazing! BUT WAIT - pricing! They have the best pricing I have seen. We have been there on a few occasions. Yes, you may wait at the counter a few minutes, but look around they are busy. The selection is great. I will do some tiling and sometimes leave it to the professionals. We used them for one job and they were quick to come out for an estimate, the estimate was more than reasonable and the job was done well. I'll be there this weekend for some tile for a small bathroom floor job. they have some amazing linen look tile that will be amazing in our bath. A Job I can do myself. We have gone elsewhere for tile too, but the selection is better here and the price is as good or better than any place around. read more
