Very cute / small corner shop - food was super fresh and really delicious. Menu was not vast - basic middle eastern halal food offerings. Service & staff was wonderful and prompt. Pricing was ok considering that they probably can give more quantity for platter. Do not plan on bringing lots of people here as there is limited seating - good for a small gathering of 4. I understand the place is relatively new so it might take them some time to get themselves together, therefore I'm giving them 3 stars. The décor is earthy and cute. I didn't find anything special about their food other than the Saj bread. The salads weren't so fresh. I had a heartburn afterwards (maybe that's just my sensitive stomach lately). I'm updating this review because after coming here for the millionth time, today was very disappointing. The new staff didn't bring the food to our table and instead just put her hand out till we would get up and get our food. I also asked her for olive oil and she said "for what?". I told her it was for the hummus which had almost no olive oil and she said oh there's no olive oil on it? I came there bc of the outdoor seating. The cashier girl was so unpleasant that it left a sour taste in my mouth. In 20 years of living in Nyc I never felt so unwelcome. Also re falafel I asked the guy if it was hot and he said no it was warm. I kindly asked him to make a new one. He was kinda mad or upset and ignored me for another 10 minutes doing other things. Found this place when they first opened up and since then we have been hooked. They make fresh breads/wraps onsite which adds to the overall experience. We have only tried the "Arabia platter" which comes with the wrap sandwich, cut into pieces with fries( taste real good with the spice they sprinkle) cole slaw, tomatoes and pickles. One time I did get luke warm fries but the owner quickly replaced them. I definitely recommend but advise to call ahead for pick-up cuz they can get busy. I decided to order food just now, and I must say I was very disappointed. There was no shawarma meat just all fat. It wasn't edible at all. Well this was a nice surprise! Was in the mood for hummus, so I searched Yelp for the best in Bay Ridge and found Ruzana. Walked over and got a falafel sandwich to stay, and some hummus with extra bread to go. This place is super clean, nicely decorated, and the falafel is AWESOME! The bedouin bread is really unique- and after making the wrap, they put it on the flat top and griddle it for a bit, making the outside nice and crispy. The falafel balls were perfectly fried, the sandwich wasn't sloppy, and was all tasty. The bread is so good I bought 4 extra loaves to bring home and I'm already snacking on it. If you are looking for shawarma that tastes like the one you had in your childhood in a Middle Eastern country this is almost certainly the closest you will find in NYC. What makes this place even more special, though, is the owner/manager. He is so welcoming to customers that he makes you feel like family. This is the second time I came here and both times he gave my friend and I some Arabic dessert on the house. I'm looking forward to trying the manaeesh here. Came here for lunch for the first time and waited to order but all the employees were too busy chit chatting and joking with each other to greet me or ask to take my order. I stood at the front counter while everyone just went about their business without acknowledging that theres a customer waiting to order. There was probably 1 or 2 other customers there so it wasn't like there was a busy lunch crowd. It doesn't take a lot to say Hi and ask if a customer needed some help. I ended up walking out after about 10 minutes of not being acknowledged.
