I ordered my usual. Food was amazing but i can tell the Brussels sprouts were rushed. However, I do love the sweet potato casserole ! Also service can be better. When i called to place an order i was told orders cannot be taken over the phone and in person only. What's the point of that? Also when i picked up my order the girl with the ombré/blonde hair was rude. She was on instagram the whole time and appeared to have an attitude. Over $100 for takeout... it would be nice to get better service

Love love love this steakhouse! There's delicious options for everyone to enjoy. The service is always attentive and servers seem to enjoy their job. Definitely a nice place for a lunch, or date night, family/friends or even solo! Spacious seating throughout the resturant and beautiful clean restrooms gender separated. Eat: Filet Mignon 10/10. Lobster Mac 6/10. Garlic Mash 7/10. Lamb chops 10/10. Drink: Assortment of cocktails & mocktails ( non-alcohol ) Vegan friendly options. Classic dessert menu. Casual smart comfortable dress code. Located in Short Hills Mall. Free parking. $$$

I love Ruth Christ ! And this was my first time at this location. It's conveniently located near one of the mall's parking decks and mall entrance. They had plenty of reservation time online and it was also as easy to modify the reservation. We got the stuffed chicken ( delicious ) my favorite side the sweet potato pecan casserole and mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The birthday dessert was good but not my favorite. All in all a great chain restaurant to celebrate special occasions.

Pretty decent place , went here for a conference . I thought the appetizers were very good, we had the goat cheese and eggplant as well as mashed potatoes . For entree I had a rib eye which was mediocre but the desert ( chocolate sin cake ) was amazing . The service was a bit slow and I had to keep reminding the guy to bring me cappuccino and some hot tea but overall they were nice

I am severely disappointed by the service and atmosphere in this location. I had high expectations - attached to Short Hills Mall, kniwn for luxury. We came in for an early sunday dinner around 3:30 pm. Even though it was Father's Day, it wasn't busy yet. We sat at the bar. I went into the bathroom before sitting down. A worker was leaving as I entered. It was in complete disarray. Water and paper towels everywhere. One (out of 3) of the stalls was a disgusting mess. Once we were seated for about 5 minutes, a man asked my husband if he wanted a drink. Took his order and left without asking for mine. When a different man came back with my husband's drink, I was asked "want a drink?". No "hi, how are ya" - no personality or friendliness at all. I asked if they had mocktails. He said he could make me a Shirley temple - that was it. I got a plain seltzer. The same man returned and asked "want to order food?". The menu is nothing to write home about. There are very few options and none sound especially appetizing at their price point. $29 for 2 small crab cakes and a tablespoon of diced peppers thrown between them. $70 for a steak thrown on an appetizer sized plate, but my husband said it was cooked well. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. We had to ask for another round of drinks even though it was not busy and there were multiple people behind the bar. I will never step foot into another Ruth's Chris again. I've received better service at a Chilli's. At this price point, there are certain expectations that have to be met. This location failed every step of the way.

Once upon a time, I'm sure Ruth's Chris was the place to go but I think it's time it updated a bit. I came here for a birthday dinner for my mother in law because she loves steak. We got a bit of everything, including the steak. Overall, I think the menu is a bit outdated as is the decor. The food was ok. As with all chains, we all know what to expect in terms of food quality. The steak was ok. The soup was good, the crab cakes were a bit disappointing. I will say the service was decent. The waitstaff was friendly and did a nice job. But overall, it's way too expensive for not so great good.

I'm familiar with the RC brand and today I had the pleasure of dining in the Short Hills location. Our server was Emilio and he was amazing. We were his first table on his first day in that capacity. We learned that he worked behind the scenes before. His glowing personality and smile made all the difference. He was very attentive to our needs and made sure everything was to our liking. As usual, the food was good. The portions have gotten smaller in the Chef's Special although the price has gone up :/ If you get the chance, ask for Emilio and you will enjoy your visit as well.

The cowboy butter was worth it! The au poivre not so much. Their portions for the a la carte sides were decent for the price. My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.

This tiny spot has a lot of charm packed into its small footprint, and it delivered where it counts. First, the bourbon selection -- **wow**. If you're a whiskey lover, you'll be in heaven. The range and curation on display here is seriously impressive. That said, if cocktails are your thing, temper your expectations a little -- the mixed drinks felt a touch light on the spirit. The **happy hour specials are an absolute must**. We ordered the burger with fries and it was a standout -- perfectly satisfying and great value. Definitely worth timing your visit around. The **service was attentive and warm** throughout, which always makes a difference, especially in a smaller venue where every table matters. Sure, the space is intimate -- read: cozy rather than spacious -- but honestly, it added to the atmosphere on a grey, wet night. Sometimes the best spots are the ones you can barely fit into. We'll definitely be back, bourbon in hand.

My old phone was taking blurry pics from far away so I wasn't able to capture it, but think very cozy, fireplace with candles glowing from within, and little alcoves in the wall for candle clusters. It was perfectly elevated while still being casual and approachable. When we came there was a Mac and cheese special with pulled bbq pork on top. I knew we had to get that because it is right up my husbands alley. It did not disappoint, my husband was tempted to order some to take home! The pasta was super creamy and cheesy, mixed with the roasted pulled smoky bbq pork on top, it was the ultimate comfort food for the cold rainy day we were having. For my meal I got the Grilled Cheese which is more of an elevated "grown up" grilled cheese. It had cheese, thin apple slices, fig jam and bacon. The flavors were great, I only wish there was a little more cheese or a little less jam to balance the sweet and savory a little more, because for me it was a touch too sweet. The sourdough it was made with was delicious and fresh, I also appreciate that they don't seem to soak their grilled cheese in oil like a lot of places do (butter or nothing, please!!) My husband ordered the burger which he really enjoyed but nothing was going to top the pulled pork Mac and cheese for him. They should consider adding it to the regular menu! He originally wanted the duck sandwich but it was unavailable on this day. All in all it was a cozy afternoon together. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on us without ever being too overbearing.
