We've been hanging out here almost every Friday on the outside patio. We absolutely LOVE the staff here. The servers and managers are just amazing. Friendly, charming, so great with our toddler! We had our department holiday lunch here last week. I've heard good reviews about this place but Yelp said otherwise. My boss' boss secretaries was ballin and reserved the dining area for us. We had a small apps from Philly cheese steak rolls, scallops, and stuffed mushrooms. Then we had a large buffet table with salad, grilled chicken, garlic shrimp, pasta, and a carving board of prime rib. We finished off with dessert which every table recurve an assortment of pastries and cookies. The highlight for me was the prime rib. It was very moist and juicy and add your own horseradish cream. The dessert was not good at all. Not sure if they make it in house or from a vendor. But the sweets tasted very artificial. The soft drinks was loaded with ice. My coworker asked for no ice during refills. I didn't take a pic but some of the tea cups was not wash well. I'm thankful to have a job and gotten free lunch but I wanted to go back to work than to rub elbows with some of my colleagues whom now I've know to have voted for Drumpf. We heard the happy hour was a really good deal and had awesome outdoor seating. Both rumors were true. The outdoor area is covered from direct sun, overlooks the course, and had a light cool breeze. Happy hour prices are great, basically a half price menu on draft beer, select apps, and well drinks. We ordered the $6 artichoke dip, which was good, but too small to be any more than $6. We also had the $6 fish tacos, again good for $6. I tried the empanadas which were ok. I enjoyed a few cocktails but they seemed weak. Our waitress would disappear or forget our orders, which wasn't too big of a deal for us but could be annoying to others. We enjoyed it here but wouldn't say it's anything spectacular. *Review from a visit pre-COVID19* My fiancé & I absolutely LOVE this place! We love to sit outside overlooking the golf course! It really is stunningly beautiful. When it's a little chillier out or when we go later in the evening, we sit at the tables with FIRE PITS. Yes, FIRE PITS! All you have to do is ask your waiter/waitress to assist in turning on the fire (which can sometimes mean they get a propane tank & hook it up to the table - don't worry it's very quick to set up but worth it). We got the Shrimp Scampi Pizza which unfortunately I don't think is available anymore! So sad because it's the best non-conventional pizza I've ever had. * PS If you are planning to go with older folk, pregnant women, or kids, I suggest being dropped off at the valet entrance on the side of the building closest to the Parkway. There is a steep walk up to the restaurant along the golf course that may be a little difficult for them. It's also the same area where golf carts will be passing you, FYI. read more

We would have given this restaurant one star if not for the waitress and manager. The tables outside were all full but there were only 4 tables inside with people dining. There was also some sort of golf outing which filled the bar area with golfers. There were a lot of servers standing around but still service was very slow. We ordered our drinks and waited 20 minutes to get them. The waitress did apologize and tell us that they were very backed up. (Hence, the second star) I ordered a dirty martini and got a martini glass full of yellow liquid which tasted like vermouth and olive juice. It was awful. I told the waitress and she suggested that I order something else. I told her that all a dirty martini consisted of was vodka and a splash of olive brine. She came back a few minutes later and told me that the manager was making my drink so it would be better. The manager brought me my drink and apologized. She was very nice and the martini was much better. (Again, the reason for the second star) Now onto the food. I had the cesar salad- it was very bland. And it also had a giant chunk of the stem included in it. Yuck. My husband ordered the fried calamari. It was very tender but tasteless and the marinara sauce tasted like tomato paste with sugar added in. He also had the cheddar burger. The bacon was so incredibly salty- it almost tasted old and the meat in the burger was bland. After all was said and done, we spent $72 for a bland salad, tasteless fried calamari, a flavorless burger and 3 drinks. We will definitely cross the Red Knot off our list. read more

Four of us dined at this restaurant for brunch yesterday and were very pleased. The service was attentive but not obtrusive and the food was well prepared. We'll be returning come spring to have brunch on the terrace. We sat near the fireplace which was a nice touch on a chilly morning. I had the blueberry french toast which was perfectly caramelized on the outside and cooked but not dry on the inside. They served real maple syrup which was a major plus. Another friend had the omelette and said it was great. Another had a blueberry waffle and enjoyed it and the other had the eggs benedict. I personally think the poached eggs in the benedict could've been a little less well cooked but the person who ordered it was very happy. The coffee was a bit too acidic for more taste but for me, coffee is minor. All of us agreed that we'd return soon. Side note - the restaurant is contained in main house and could've been a little better marked. All four of use came seperately and were confused as to where it was. Arrived 7:45 to patio with several open tables - 60% capacity. Jameel did a great job of clearing and getting us settled but then nothing. Turns out our server was Cierra who was MIA so we sat for 15 min with nothing. She finally shows up to take an order. 30 minutes after sitting drinks arrive. 45 minutes after arriving appetizers arrive and mine are cold. And moments later main entrees arrive. I can see jameel is working his butt off but cierra is invisible. And water never refilled. Food is what you'd expect for a pub. View off the veranda at sunset is epic. Need a better selection of IPA - only choice is Sweetwater 420. Tough to find (consistently) good help. read more

I go to the golf range here a ton and sometimes I pick up lunch. It's always pretty good even though a bit over priced. Today I literally paid $18.50 for a salad, $8 of which was for adding the four slivers of chicken on the salad. I had heard great things about the food at Red Knot and considering that the whole place was recently renovated, I thought it would be a perfect place to take my mom for brunch to celebrate her birthday. Well I thought wrong. The service here is the WORST service I have ever experienced. For a hospitality focused place of business, I am appalled at the lack of service that was provided. Let me preface this review by saying it was not that busy at the time we went. There was one large table of about 17 people; a party being set up outside but they had two people designated to help; and maybe two other small tables of two to three people. The bar was not busy either. It all started from the minute we walked in. The hostess did not greet us with a smile; in fact she had a sourpuss face on. She did not welcome us or ask if we had reservations. She literally just looked at us, then proceeded to look for two menus. She could only find one so she left us standing there to go look for another one...instead of telling us this, she pointed her finger at us and told us to wait there. She came back about two minutes later with no extra menu and mumbled that she would bring us another menu after she sat us. We got this second menu about twenty minutes later (oh and we did not get any drinks menu either). After we were seated, the hostess came to fill our glasses of water and I said thank you...she made a face and said "mmhm." I was surprised...she couldn't even say "you're welcome" which is just basic manners. As for where we were seated, we were seated by doors that led to the outside deck where a party was being set up. It was pretty cold and very windy outside and numerous waitresses kept opening the doors and leaving them open. So for about 45 minutes, I was subjected to being freezing cold and not once did a waitress acknowledge me or apologize or say "pardon me" for having to continue to open the doors. I finally had to complain to the manager and then they discovered they had other doors where customers weren't sitting and they could use those doors. As for our waitress...she came to take our drink orders and did not come back with our drinks until 30 minutes later. Again, the bar was not busy nor was the restaurant. I actually watched our drinks sit at the service bar for some time until the manager came over and gave us our drinks. The manager also took our food orders because our waitress was nowhere to be found. My mom ordered the beef empanadas for an appetizer and an omelette for her entree while I ordered just the stuffed French toast. When the empanadas came out, our waitress magically reappeared and approached our table without saying excuse me and with a major attitude, she asked us if my mom and I were sharing the appetizer. Now the place does not have a sharing fee and we had plates...so why would she even ask us that? I told her no and she just walked away. We got our entrees and my mom loved her omelette but my stuffed French toast was cold. Also, the menu said the French toast was stuffed with fruit so I was expecting a fruit medley...actually, the toast was just filled with apples and had other fruit on the plate. It was good but chewy because it was cold. We were not the only customers not happy. The large party of 17 also had to deal with a long wait time for their food and when it arrived, everything was cold. I'm giving this place two stars because the food was decent but the service was deplorable. I am shocked at how bad the service was especially considering that they host weddings, banquets, parties and golf events. If they can't have good service at a basic brunch for a table of two, I am scared to think about the service they provide for larger events. If I ever come back here, I will only be at the snack bar or the actual bar because I will need a lot of drinks to deal with the bad service. read more

Terrible experience yesterday for Mother's Day Brunch! We're attended the past several years but will never return again. No valet parking yesterday (pouring rain- someone should have checked the weather forecast!) If you waited to get up to get something-too bad it's gone and not refilled! We stacked our used plates up in the center of the table, no one can to remove them until the very end of our seating! and it was a table of 10. Years prior, there was a wait staff that covered several tables. Maybe next year they won't cheap out on food and staff! Too bad because it had been nice. read more

Just finished at the Easter brunch buffet. Super disappointed!!! Our service was not good, took a long time for our servers to get our drinks and clear plates. When it's a buffet, you'd expect service to be smoother? Also the food was a little lacking. The menu looked much better on paper, and that's why we picked this spot for Easter. Good music, excellent view. Despite being right off the parkway, even when outside the architecture of the building keeps the noise at a bare minimum. Just wish that the hours were a bit more flexible, and while everyone enjoyed their meal, my burger was rather raw. My fault for muscling through it instead of pointing it out, however, as in retrospect I'm sure our fantastic and sweet server, Diedre, would have been happy to accommodate my needs. Red Knot is a beautiful location to sit outside and have a drink with friends. However if you would like to get something to eat afterwards, get in your car and go someplace else. The dinner menu is really limited and truly geared to golfers having lunch. The food is mediocre at best, which is a shame because with some effort this could be a nice location for a summer night dinner. Management should consider becoming a real restaurant, and I believe they may actually have diners there on Saturday nights and throughout the winter. The food in the restaurant would never inspire anyone eating there to book a wedding or corporate event, which is obviously their main source of income. read more

The place is nice, and the food is well seasoned but the service they have there is deplorable. I took my extended family there for the brunch buffet, which they apparently discontinued. We ordered appetizers with our meals and after 1.5 hours we asked about why we had not received appetizers (listed as starters on menu) they told us they were bringing it with the food. When we told them the starters should come first, the unapologetic waiter told us that no one had told him. Lastly, the food did not match what was ordered, so the chef came out with more excuses saying they the menu was changed and he was unaware. This is sad, as previous experiences there were nice and the place is nice, but I have already been there for the last time. read more

Lovely location and view, unfortunately thats where it stops. Bar service is horribly slow. Happy Hour is priced right, but again, placing and getting served even when there is only 8 people at bar is like pulling teeth. During the World Cup they only had maximum of 10-12 people at bar during games they couldnt handle the volume. Meals are hit or miss, and management is rude and surly a they have a major superiority complex. Mgmt nor the staff can not take criticism in away way shape or form, be it how the drink is made or how we'd want it vs how long it takes to be served chicken wings. Had the Cuban sandwich with French fries which was cooked well and was very flavorful...comparable to an authentic Cuban restaurant. Don't really remember our waitress name as the busser Kortni was more attentive...friendly and made sure our dining experience was a great one. Have diner here before and thought it was ok. Went back tonight and I have to review because its just gone down-hill, way down-hill. Wife had Pork Belly, which I realize is going to have some fat, but this was crazy. Had to be 80% fat & not edible. What an enormous waste of money. I had the fried Calamari app and it was served barely warm. This kitchen has gone to hell, don't know what's going on there, but the only thing that was god was the wine. Very disappointed. Tonight we had my daughter s rehearsal dinner tonight. It was a private party yet we had people walking from the terrace through our party. It was suppose to be an all you can eat pizza buffet, they ran out of dough . This was booked months ago. Some of our guests didn't even get food. The head waiter was doing the best he could, but the wait staff was doing the terrace plus us. Very poorly managed. Will not recommend this place to anyone for a party. read more

Go here at least once every other week for the happy hour specials. The drinks are reasonably priced and bar menu has some very unique items. The food is good and for the price of happy hour you can't beat it. I great to sit out on the patio, have some drinks and appetizers, and watch golfers finish up on 18. The wait staff has always been very good for us when we go, last time we has Jesus who was quick and very helpful. read more
