You can taste the quality in every bite. They're my must-have every single time. Malik served our family (table of 9) and was nothing short of incredible. we had one birthday and two anniversaries and he accommodated with a free dessert. not only was he an incredible server but the food and drinks were AWESOME! i had the caprese salad and the crab cakes. if you choose to come here, you want a server like Malik. read more

Unfortunately the experience did not match the price or expectations. We were dining in celebration of my birthday and left rather disappointed. We were seated in the small room upstairs which felt overt crowded and apart from the elevated dining experience. Service was pretty good but the food and drink left something to be desired. I ordered a gin drink that tasted like pure lemon juice, I had to send it back, which is something I have never done before. The warm bread basket was great of course but my steak was just "ok". It was filet cooked to medium but came out very dry. The dessert was redeeming! Can't beat a warm brownie with ice cream on top. I wish I had pictures for this, but just know everything was outstanding. There is valet outside should you choose and you walk in to either the restaurant ahead of you or to a big bar on the right. Coat check is available if needed. We had the best table in the restaurant, a beautiful corner booth in the back, dim lighting, but not too dark, perfect for a date. Our server was David and he was very patient, knowledgeable and very kind. The restaurant itself is a nice restaurant. We ordered lobster bisque which was the best I have ever tasted. They provided complimentary bread. I ordered the ribeye medium which came out perfect, tender and seasoned to perfection. It comes on a 500 degree plate so you can't touch it and it sizzles when it's in front of you. The au gratin potatoes were chef's kiss. Also had asparagus and that was ok. Creme brulee for dessert, very creamy, not too sweet but perfect. A glass of merlot to top it off. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking to go on a first date to impress a bit. read more

It was fine. We had a great time bc we went with friends. The wait staff was great. The interior was beautiful. They even had heaters near our tables so we wouldn't get cold in the freezing weather. Elizabeth and Teddy were exceptional tonight. I absolutely love it when I have a really nice experience at a restaurant far from home. They were attentive, always smiling, and very professional. My coworker and I went in for just the bread pudding and some drinks. The drinks were made perfectly. Not too weak and not overly strong in alcohol. The bread pudding was perfect. Ruth Chris has been a go to for my family for years! Birthdays, celebrations, why nots, etc. I order the petite filet- well done and butterfly cut with blue cheese on top. My side was mashed potatoes which could feed an army or in this case, a 24 year old girl. My server was sweet and very knowledgeable about wines. He told us that a man had come in earlier and had paid for an entire bottle of champagne, but didn't finish it so he offered it to us for free! I hope both sides of his pillow stay cold for the rest of his life! The atmosphere was fine, food was ok. Steak was a little overcooked, but overall the food was good. My problem was before we even got there. Called for reservations, they were booked, the lady I talked too took my info and said she would put me on a wait list. I called back the week before to check on it.. there is no wait list. The manager then got on the phone and essentially called me a liar. We had shared this date at the same restaurant for over 25 years. My wife got online set a notification of any opening came up, the day before we got one. The Indy location is in the mall technically but the door faces the street outside. The complimentary bread and butter - bread is warm and ok but nothing g great. However that butter is quality. I got the stuffed chicken and it came with a scoop of mashed potatoes and 3 asparagus. The veggies were solid. The initial bite of the chicken was awesome because the cheese filling oozes out. This dish for lunch was $28. Deserts were $13 so I didn't try. But we had a bday in our group and they got a complimentary piece of Oreo cheesecake. Was it good? Yes. Tasty and good service. We dined at Ruth's Chris on NYE. Our service was good at best. My entree was served across the table from me and my water was dumped onto my sizzling plate. The assisting server said "would you like a new plate". Seriously, my steak was swimming in water. That person then told our server that my steak was not prepared correctly. That was not the case. Three attempts were made to serve my filet correctly, with no success. Made for a disappointing experience to say the least. Not one manager came to speak to us about the situation. When we were seated tonight, our server Thomas greeted us by name and mentioned he knew I liked carrot cake and my husband liked Long Island Iced Tea. I mean who doesn't like Ruth Chris?! We came on a Friday evening for date night. Beware if you plan to go around this time of the year, I suggest either taking an Uber or be perpared to Valet for sure. Parking is terrible right now due to so much construction. Valet is $15 I think. We had reservations (which I totally suggest) but got there about 30 minutes early do we opted to sit at the bar until our reservation. Our bartender was very nice and because I couldn't quite think of what I wanted she was very helpful in helping me decide even though she was quite busy. Once we sat at our table our server came right away and from that point on the service was amazing. Our food was cooked to perfection and our drinks at the table were also great. It was a little loud but I think it was because there were several holiday parties happening, I don't think that is the norm. read more

I hate leaving less than three stars. I really do, but it just wasn't much beyond two stars. We came here because I had never been. It seemed crazy that I hadn't, so here we go. I'm not a fussy guest. I'm very understanding and forgiving, but when I say I'm "not fussy," I don't mean that I want poor service for the rest of the evening. Our Voodoo Lobster appetizer was really great. Lobster Bisque was kind of bland, but had a lovely velvety texture. The dirty dishes sat in front of us for an uncomfortable length of time in this type of place. My medium rare filet arrived medium rare, but considering they serve it to you on a hot plate of boiling (albeit delicious) fat, it was overcooked in no time. Also, it was grey. There was no crust or char. The texture and flavor of the steak wasn't exceptional. I will also bet $100 that their "Fire Roasted Corn" is straight up from a can. It might even be the Del Monte Fire Roasted Corn that I put in my Chicken Corn Chowder. Hash browns were pretty good, but the cheese was very orange and nacho cheese like. We didn't get bread and I didn't even know it existed until we were about finished with dinner and I noticed someone else being delivered their bread service. Overall, it was just pretty disappointing. Boo. read more

My wife and I joined friends and celebrated Valentine's Day by spending more on steak than I had heretofore. I must say, the service was excellent. Our waiter was a pro of the highest order. He had a thorough knowledge of the somewhat complicated menu. I have heard it said about the steaks, "You can cut them with a fork." Of course you can't, at least not my fillet. It was good, but was standing at the gate of tough. My wife got the small fillet that came with garlic mashed potatoes and salad. I shared some of her potatoes. I think they should have listed on the menu, "Instant Potatoes," because they tasted exactly like the instant potatoes I get from Aldi. Not a bad thing, but I seriously doubt they were mashed. That indicates starting with a boiled potato and mashing it. That's not a huge point, and I could be wrong. We did share a lobster appetizer with our friends that was simply outstanding! I guess it boils down to this: Is it worth paying the very high prices for steaks that were little better than most any other steak house? For two of us, drinking water, and not ordering extravagantly, including tip, it was $175. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so it was probably worth it. But, that would have probably bought several dinners at another steak house. My suggestion is don't take my word for it. I think everybody should try it once. The excellent service almost makes it worth it. Now, that I have tried it, I would feel like a sucker to pay that much again. read more

I honestly am struggling in writing this review. We recently held a private event at Ruth's Chris Steak House for a party of 12. The room, service, and even ambiance, were absolutely spectacular. But the food, well, left a bit to be desired and a bit too much "chew" if you take my meaning. I'd ordered the 22 0z. Bone In Cowboy Ribeye, with Shoestring fries, and the Lettuce Wedge Salad. Let's start with my expectations shall we? Frankly, the bar was set pretty high on the "meat" side of things, as this is Ruth Chris after all--a restaurant renowned for their mouth watering steaks set to transcend even the most seasoned of carnivore's pallet. And yet their largest, most delectable (and expensive), bone in ribeye, was astoundingly not at all transcending. Although the meat itself was cooked to temperature and heavily doused in butter, it was terribly tough, heavily grizzled, and cut so thin, one could barely find any flavor in the meat at all. I can't tell you how disappointed I was, but that doesn't mean I won't go back and give ole Ruth's Chris another shot. Everyone has an off night now and again. read more
