Love the pizza, but have been there 4 times and 3 of the times they screwed up my order. I get the prosciutto, arugula and mushroom pizza with tomato sauce instead of olive oil and no arugula. They never see the tomato sauce request. This time I said screw it, I will create my own pizza. Tomato sauce, prosciutto and mushrooms. They still screwed it up, put arugula and olive oil on it. Now I'm sitting here waiting for them to get it right. Your pizza is a little pricey to be messing up the orders so often. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Every time I'm in town, I take a pizza to go. The quality and taste of this pizza is perfection. The crust is so crispy and the sauce is flavorful. The service is quick and great! I always get a large because a medium is too small for me (your girl can eat...but I also bike every day so I'm always hungry). Definitely get a large for leftovers. We were visiting the area for Mother's Day and got into town late and we're hungry and tired, with a restless toddler in tow. We were in the mood for pizza and beer and I'm so glad we ordered from this place because it was more than we expected. We spent our day in Morro bay and on our way back to Paso Robles, I ordered through the yelp app and picked up the food on the way. The customer service was really good here, as someone actually called me after I placed my order to let me know that they were unable to make the "thin and crispy " pizza crust seasoned, since there is no crust on that kind of pizza. I didn't know that, but I'm glad she called and we were able to change our order to original thin crust. We also got the Cesar salad, rustic fire pizza and the rustic vegetarian with a free large cheese bread stick for checking in on yelp. We also picked up a six pack of Barrel house Sunny Daze beer. So first time here seen the reviews figured we would give it a try. I have to say I was impressed yeah I placed my order they forgot to bring out my beer so after 5 minutes of being parched I went and asked about it. Janette our order taker apologized and said she would get it right out. 2 minutes later it was out and ready for consumption the food came out fast it was rush hour everyone was in there placing their orders and me watching I realized who ever owns this place has a gold mine! Not sure if it's profitable or not I'm sure it is but gold because of the employees. What great service! Wine tasting here, wine tasting there, and very little time to catch a bite in between. We called a day ahead, made a reso, then called on the day about a 1/2 hour before to place our order. Our food literally slid onto the table as we slid into our booth. Magic! The thin crust Neapolitan was our favorite but the thicker crust Rustic Veggie was a crowd pleaser as well. We also enjoyed the Caesar Salad and Garden Salad. Seven people were in an out of there in no time even though the place was filled to the brim. For how small the portions are, it seems pretty overpriced and it takes a while to get your pizza. I ordered one personal pizza and it took almost 20 minutes to get it. Grub hub totally screwed up my order as takeout rather than delivery as the online ordering app is confusing. When I called regarding my order neither the restaurant nor grub hub would do anything to rectify the situation. Both entities are responsible for terrible customer service. Customer service was excellent! Rustic Fire is great!! I first went to eat there after my coworker gave me some of a Margarita Pizza she got from there. It was so simple, fresh and delicious. I knew that they must be doing something right! The pizza, the staff, and overall customer service are to be noted. I can say that I have never had a bad experience there. Now my husband I have dined there at least a dozen times within 2 years. The main thing that I am most impressed by is the fact that every single time I have eaten there. I see the owners working alongside the rest of the staff. (I believe they are a brother sister team). You can just tell they have a passion for upholding quality and making sure guests leave happy. We are always greeted warmly, asked if we have questions, and encouraged to sample some of the gelato that they serve there. Everyone is so nice!! When food arrives, they double check if we need anything else, and come back midway through the meal to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. This is so rare for most restaurants let alone a counter service pizza place. Food always comes out fresh and piping hot in a very reasonable amount of time. As others have mentioned, parking can get pretty packed since it is in a small plaza shared by a Starbucks and 2 other restaurants. Also just past a major freeway intersection with a lot of travelers passing through. But this of course is by no fault of the restaurants, and don't let it deter you. (Go a little further down the side street to park). All in all, we love Rustic Fire! read more
