My husband has had problems with his feet for a long time. His podiatrist suggested inserts with a wider shoe and referred us to Run With Us. I have purchased my gym shoes here for a number of years, so I knew they were good in helping to find the correct fit. This time, Peach waited on my husband and went way above and beyond with such patience and help. She would not give up until she was sure it was the right fit for him. My experience here has been nothing shy of AMAZING! The staff is educated on every aspect of running and the shoes that they sell based on your personal foot profile. I only come in every couple of years to get myself new running shoes and it just keeps getting better! Ray helped me out and was respectful, patient and brought me nearly 8 pairs of shoes to try because I didn't find my match. From there I was having a hard time choosing the shoe color (yes, I became one of those) and he didn't rush me or roll his eyes while I was trying to decide aesthetics. I wanted to be happy with my purchase and he knew that. I also asked about the return policy which is 10 days but didn't want to have to return used shoes for some dumb reason. Needless to say, this place amazes me every time and I even got solicited advice for improving my running performance which I've already put into action. I also really like that running events use this store as a bib pick up location. That should tell you something! The parking is always a drag but eventually you figure out a place to park it and once you get in you forget all about the struggle. Parking is in the back or on the street and free if you get lucky and find a spot. People that go into Run with Us are typically in and out anyhow so it does make sense to wait for someone to leave. I told him straight: I'm experiencing plantar fasciitis and am keen on Nike. I'd like to try at least 3 options (various brands) of what is recommended. By watching me walk to the door, he identified my problem areas. Next, my feet was measured and he got my design preferences, then quickly pulled 4 shoes for me to try. Each shoe only got better and better. But, these 4 were too bulky and sporty - I wanted something more casual. He pulled 3 more options for me and here I am, walking out with new shoes on. Best customer service ever! I wish I had the sales associate who helped my bf and I. He was an older Latino male and was the best! He definitely is very knowledgeable about the anatomy of the feet, best shoe for your feet, and provided many helpful tips on how to strength your feet to avoid pain. Working in a profession that requires being on your feet for several hours, the right shoes plays a key role and the sales associate who helped us definitely did his job. We walked out with a few pairs because he was that good. Also, during the visit he even assessed my bf's feet to see what is causing so much pain. He then asked him to step on their machine to assess where do most of the pressure lands on his feet. I'm so unhappy with my experience here at your store. Earlier today I went in with my father to purchase some shoes. I had previously been to this location and thought that it would go great. I did take some shoes earlier, they fit me perfectly, but unfortunately after running 3 miles in the shoes, I realized that they ended up cutting my ankles really bad to the point where they were bleeding and my socks were covered in blood. My socks weren't short, so I knew it has to be the shoe. I just went back to the store to return the shoes and Adrian, the employee who helped me earlier seemed to have a complete switch in demeanor and all. He was very sassy, sarcastic, rude and made it seem as if it were my fault I were bleeding. He did accept the return but kept over emphasizing that I did something wrong. I asked him to show me and he literally just untied the shoes. Working in customer service, I know that no customer should be treated as such, and because I am completely unsatisfied with just how he dealt with me overall I thought it necessary to share my experience with other people who plan on coming in. Have always randomly bought running shoes that are on clearance at places like DSW, but not too happy with my last discounted pair so I decided to try out Run With Us after reading the Yelp reviews. One of the best decisions I have ever made, and I think my feet will thank me for it! From the moment I went inside the store, I felt at ease and totally welcomed by the staff. Also, I immediately got the sense that the staff was definitely knowledgable about running shoes. After all, they definitely look like they do a couple of marathons every year, if not more. After telling them how many miles I run each week, they looked at how I walked, they made me step on a foot pressure analysis machine, and they measured my feet. Surprisingly, it was recommended that I actually go a half size bigger for running shoes, and I was soon trying on the four pairs of shoes that were chosen for me. I was pleasantly surprised that all four pairs felt great to me! I was advised to take my time with each pair. They even suggested running with the shoes on the sidewalk outside. Throughout the process, all my questions were answered. Ultimately, I decided on a pair of Saucony Guide 10 shoes after running through the store for probably a couple of miles. Why not 5 stars? As many reviewers have noted, there's very little parking available at the back of the store. There were no open spaces, so I opted to park on an adjacent street. Parking was limited to only one hour on the street where I parked, and I did go over my time limit. Luckily, Pasadena PD wasn't fast enough! Also, I would have liked it if I was asked in the beginning if I had a budget. The prices were only given to me as I was trying on the shoes. Ended up shelling out $120 for my new pair before taxes, which is the recommended price for the shoes I found online. I'll see you next time Run With Us when it's time for a new pair. read more

I asked for white shoes that I could keep clean. The salesperson told me to clean the fabric tops with non chlorine bleach. When I did that the fabric would not come clean. Looked dingy and stained immediately after washing, even 3 times, before wearing once. I can't wear them out of the house. I took them back to the store. The man behind the counter first insulted me for making this complaint. The he asserted that because these are running shoes, obviously they cannot be cleaned. That they are always going to look dingy right after cleaning. Of course if they told us this before we purchased, they would not sell many shoes. He offered no accommodation at all. I started coming here maybe a year or so after they opened. The staff here is super friendly, attentive, willing to let you try any of the shoes until you find the right one. Their advice comes from actual running experience. My running journey started here with a pair of Brooks addiction motion control shoes. Whenever I returned to the shop for my next pair I would update whoever was helping me on my mileage, injuries, habits, etc and they always knew what the safe step-up shoe would be for me that would improve my running. It's wild to think that I started in a motion control shoe, as I now (with Sergio's advice) have been steadily cruising in a shoes with little, to no heel drop. I have gotten about 4 pairs of running shoes here. I love each of them very much individually. The employees there are very kind, knowledgeable and most of all patient! They have a machine that will scan your feet so they can find a shoe that is tailored for you. I went in for some running shoes and the SA (I didn't get his name sorry!) brought out about 6-8 pairs of shoes for me to try on. I was beyond grateful. The store has everything a runner will need; from lights, compression socks, running belts, water bottles, Garmin/Suunto watches, energy gel/chews, etc.. I came to this place after having numerous people sing it's praises. Both runners and non told me how great the fitting process was and how they always got the most comfortable shoes ever from here; so I was naturally excited to come and get some new workout and running gear... it seems that I got dealt quite the lemon. I came in and was straight forward; I needed a pair of shoes for my Zumba/aerobic workouts and wanted to get a pair for trail and trail running. The only evaluation they did was have me walk a straight line and measure my feet. No questions about fitness level, joint issues, nada. I didn't notice at the time due to shopping right after a grueling shift. I picked from the selection they deemed correct for me and I should have been more weary to pick sale shoes, it seams. That part was my fault; but I thought I should trust them. My mistake indeed. Pair #1: the aerobic shoe they pulled for me is possibly too small. They measured my feet, so I'm a bit surprised, but they make my toes feel like they are falling asleep (and they are not tightly laced). They hurt my feet and have impaired my workouts. Pair #2: while it's been too wet to trail run; in a desperate maneuver I wore them to a workout class tonight and they were worlds better- but still hurt my arches (i don't even have crazy arches!). Now it might be new shoe break in, I hope, but it might be a total wash. I've never had such poor luck with workout shoes! All in all- I'm displeased. My feet hurt, I feel cheated, and my wallet hurts (and with both pairs having been final sale; I can't even try for a refund, even with the light wear). Shopper be cautious!! read more

I have to say my experience at Run With Us didn't have as good results as some of the other Yelpers. I've been having trouble with my right foot cramping up. So I went into the store and a guy did a thorough assessment of my feet - wear patterns on my current shoes, measured my feet, watched me walk back and forth a few times, etc. And of course I told them about the cramping, so the guy did a physical inspection of my feet. Well, after all that, I bought a pair of athletic shoes, and guess what-- I have to get rid of them because they hurt my feet. Since then, I bought some shoes online from a company called "Greats." The Greats I bought are more just sneakers than full-on athletic shoes, but they don't hurt my feet, so I'm very happy about that. read more

I was just in looking for some running shoes for my son and my wife for Christmas. I noticed they had a 40%-60% off section for shoes and miscellaneous stocking stuffers. I picked up a box of Asics Wave Inspire 15 marked at $99. I then asked the sales person if the shoes were 40%-60% off the sticker price or has the difference has been deducted already. He told me that the difference was already taken off the regular sale price of $130. I explained to him the math didn't add up. If the original price was $130 and the discount price 40% off the shoe should be marked at $78 not $99. He told me the manager sometimes makes sales signs and the math doesn't add up.... I scratched my head and told him if I can't purchase the shoes at $78 the sign must come down so not to confuse the consumer. He responded "I'll tell my manager when he gets back from lunch". I left the store not purchasing anything because I believe that those types of business practices shouldn't be aloud and his (salesperson) response was unacceptable.
