Such a delight/pleasant surprise to find out that there was a ruby slipper in Florida. The only location that I'm aware of is the one in New Orleans, so this was a pleasant surprise. Cannot go wrong with any of their dishes. Although we were in a complete different state, the hospitality was no different than what we were received in Louisiana. I couldn't believe how nice the place was it was so clean and amazing overall. now, let's talk about service the waitress Jillian and is the most amazing nice waitress I've ever met she kept the margaritas flowing like a white water river. Wow!! This place was incredible! The service with Jillian was top notch. She was attentive, kind, and welcoming. Our food and any requests we had came promptly. The ambiance was very welcoming and friendly. And then there's the actual taste of the food... holy moly! The biscuits were light, fluffy, and delightful. My husband and sister had the trifecta and they couldn't stop drooling. They said each Benny was better than the next. You just can't beat the Pig Candy bacon. So so good! Hubs and I both got the Pick 2 Bennies babies it's so hard to choose. We both got the Peacemaker, which allowed us to choose 2 off the Bennies. Apparently this is a chain in south Florida, and I'm glad I found it. First, take this review with a large grain of salt, as I'm a sucker for brunch. That said, it's so good. I had French toast bites with fried chicken and hot honey/syrup with strawberries. Damn. So good. Get extra sauce because there's never enough. It was sweet, little punch and the chicken was perfectly fried. Southern perfection. My son got the French toast bites and both of ours were awesome. I don't know how they got them so crispy but also perfectly soft in the middle like French toast. The 3 year old finished the plate! The prices were reasonable and service was absolutely outstanding. This is what you want brunch to be. Inside it's like any other breakfast spot as far as decor and style, but don't be fooled, they are far from average on flavor! Adorable southern diner with excellent breakfast. We were staying near by on vacation and had driven past Ruby Slipper. We decided to try them out and I'm so glad we did! I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pictures. We ordered coffee and breakfast plates. I had 2 fried eggs with grits, potatoes and toast. I asked for the bacon to come on a separate plate (vegetarian). I was in the restroom when the food came out and it was dropped off by a food runner. The bacon was on my plate, on top of the eggs. The waitress came by before I came out and asked my husband if it was ok that bacon was on my plate. She was happy to take it back and ask the chefs to re-do the eggs. This is sometimes an incredibly awkward situation because not every restaurant is ok with taking food back to the kitchen for a seemingly minor reason. It was so refreshing to return to the table to find out that it was already being taken care of. I wish I could recall the waitresses name! When my food was ready, it came out fresh and delicious. My husband ordered a French toast skillet and he loved it. They had a brunch cocktail menu that looked really good. We weren't in the mood for cocktails unfortunately but would try them next time.
