While visiting Destin this week, we placed a pick up order for this spot and they didn't miss. My children both got different omelets. And I got a stack of strawberry pancakes. When I'd gotten back to the hotel I was irritated, because they didn't provide me any syrup. Needless to say, I didn't need the syrup, there were some preserves/ jelly included and it was amazing. They were perfectly cooked and they tasted amazing. The omelets were huge and they have these breakfast fries that were seasoned to perfection. All in all, I see why they had a long wait and line out the door. Next time we come, I'll definitely come early enough to eat inside. read more

Took the day off on Friday, so my friend and I decided to grab a late lunch at Cafe Destin. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away and handed menus. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted and, once we knew what we wanted, just head up to the counter to place our order. We both decided on the breakfast burrito--my friend got theirs with bacon, while I went with ham. The burritos came out on paper plates with plastic utensils, keeping things very casual and laid-back. The burritos were cooked perfectly and came out fresh, rather than sitting around. The potatoes that came with them were great as well and paired nicely with the burrito. Overall, Cafe Destin is a great casual spot for breakfast or lunch. The food was fresh, the service was friendly, and everything came out just right. I'd definitely recommend giving Cafe Destin a try! read more

Service: You order your food at the counter, then sit down to be served. This place was packed, took awhile for our food to come out. Ambiance: Decor felt beachy, clean, and comfortable. Food: The avocado toast was well made, however my potatoes were cold and not fresh. Steak omelette, strawberry/banana waffle, pancakes, and strawberry French toast were good! read more

Went to lunch this afternoon up the road from our resort on our way to get groceries. Never shop on an empty stomach. We came across Cafe Destin only open until 2 each day listed as a brunch cafe. They have a nice breakfast menu with a small lunchmenu .a nice coffee selection. And soda and juice We both went with the Chicken sandwich with fries. A vary friendly atmosphere. The sandwich had all the fixing, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and unfortunately sweet pickles. only down fall. (In my opinion, Dill only) For this i give 4 starts. read more

My friend and I had a really great brunch here!! I had pancakes and bacon. The pancake were so big and perfectly cooked!! We also ordered the bottomless mimosas for $25. It was worth it lol. We sat outside on their patio and just relaxed and ate. It was busy there but the service was fast and everything was really delicious. This is a great breakfast spot for sure!! Plenty of parking in the lot and lots of tables. read more

Busy is an understatement. This place was packed but between the indoor and outdoor seating there was plenty to go around. The outdoors was perfect for a lovely breakfast or brunch and the food was to die for. I got the bacon burrito and it was so good. Everything is hot and fresh (I'm an impatient person) so I burned my mouth but it was so worth it. Definitely a go to for breakfast when down in Destin! read more

Review is for the whole experience and about the business model and food with presentation. The service was excellent (5 stars), the host and servers were quick and friendly. The cafe is large and spacious. We came during a weekday late morning-midday. The omelette was good, however, the salad that came with didn't seem fresh. The avocado on the omelette also has some brown spots. The salmon toast came uncut, not freshly toasted, slathered with very creamy tzatziki sauce. It was not the toast I was expecting. And to make the experience less appetizing, everything was served in paper plates and plastic silverware. I asked for actual silverware but they didn't have it. I had to cut my toast with a plastic knife. The side of fruit was this tiny plastic cup and the fruit looked like it had been sitting for days - I did not touch it. To want a true sit-down cafe experience, everything was less than to be desired. We won't be returning. Especially for the price - these are more than NYC prices, it's not worth it. Coffee was subpar. There was a strange after taste to my latte. read more

We came to Cafe Destin because the restaurant we wanted to try was an hour wait. The ambiance is self seating. It was packed when we arrived. It's a bit of a confusing concept as it's self seating but you need to go up to the counter to order. Service was friendly and welcoming. Food was good but my meal, the omelcado had two hairs. One by the ranch dressing and the other by the salad itself. I lost my appetite. The lady was nice and took it off the bill. Then I went to get a napkin and spotted another hair on the napkin. read more

Came in with the wife for a breakfast. Should've scrolled the reviews first. Because even reviews say very over priced for what it is and it was for sure overpriced. Very small menu. I'm guessing the prices are high because they are having to afford the location. Got 2 orders of biscuits and gravy one smart water and coffee came out to $46 plus they asked for tip so thinking it was going to be good I left a tip. It was not good. There was no service. You seat yourself, you have to get your own condiments and you have to order at the counter. Not to mention. Why are the prices so high but they serve food on cheap paper plates with plastic silverware? If you're visiting definitely check out the donut hole. If you do decide to come here. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE BISCUITS AND GRAVY. read more

Large hot coconut latte with oat milk was brewed perfectly! Avocado toast was pretty good. Waffle was excellent!

Small spot but great service! The building is not very big, you walk into a line to order your food and find a seat but the line moves fast and the food came out pretty fast. They have a coffee section of the menu to order specialty drinks, mimosas. Cute place in a small space with a big impact. The portions are generous and the food was very good. read more

Hidden gem!! This is the kind of place that I selfishly want to keep to myself. I don't want it to become so well known that the line is out the door with an excruciating wait. That's what will happen when word gets out, because the breakfast and service here are the best on the beach. This place is not very visible from the main road, so it's not as busy as some other breakfast spots. My husband and I noticed it wasn't very busy, and we were concerned the food would be subpar. But, it's delicious! read more

Cafe Destin puts me in the mind of First Watch, with their friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, fast service, and amazing food. They offer casual cafe, and health-minded dining for breakfast and lunch. The staff was friendly and welcoming upon entering the restaurant. And the food was amazing, especially the Gouda cheese grits. The grits were sooooo creamy and flavorful paired with the Gouda cheese. Last but not least, the sourdough bread for toast was the star of the breakfast, and I wish I had ordered extra. It's not goodbye but see you again soon! read more

My husband and I visited Cafe Destin and we both left impressed! I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with a side of potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious. The biscuit was buttery and flaky, the bacon perfectly crisp, and the potatoes golden and seasoned just right. This is a fairly limited review, but I had one of the best salads I've ever had here - and it was huge (w/berries, caramelized pecans, feta, etc). It's got a relatively innocuous strip mall vibe, but the interior is pleasant and the staff were great. They also have a covered porch with comfortable seating where we also enjoyed a delicious latte! read more

Really enjoyable breakfast/brunch spot walkable from a number of condos and hotels, which is handy (if I can avoid driving on 98 while I'm down here, it boosts the enjoyment factor tenfold and saves the blood pressure...). Counter service to order, but they'll bring your food to you. Staff was friendly and helpful. Decent amount of space, including a few outdoor tables. I'll need to get back to try lunch (burgers sound good), but breakfast choices are solid. Tried the Red Eye, basically eggs Benedict but with pulled pork and red eye gravy, plus a side of crispy, seasoned home fries. Pulled pork was good, the gravy accented it nicely. Quality biscuit base. The poached eggs were a little overcooked, but it didn't ruin the meal or anything, and I suspect it was a one-off error as everything else I saw looked to be prepared quite well. Big stacks of fluffy pancakes, omelets looked quite good...look forward to getting back to try one of the latter. Cold brew coffee was solid. Another spot that I have to pick on for not having fresh OJ...as I said in reviewing another restaurant, if you're doing breakfast/brunch, you just have to find a way to get fresh juice! I was really surprised not to have it here, as they have a fantastic lineup of coffees and teas, it just seemed natural they'd have fresh juice too...but, a small knock on an otherwise strong meal. Worth a visit for sure. read more

Great breakfast options with large portions! The mimosas are excellent as well! I had a bacon avocado omelet.

I personally enjoyed it. You have to order at the counter. Finding a seat was not an issue the French toast was delicious.

First time trying this place . I had the club sandwich, it was good , maybe a little more of the garlic aioli as it's on sourdough bread and it can get soaked into the bread quickly . Speaking of the bread it could have been more toasted but overall it was good . The other people I with me had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was good , another had an omelet the build your own and said it was good and the other person chose the build your own bagel and they enjoyed their meal . Service was friendly and prompt . Will be back to try some coffee an other menu items ! We are locals and always looking for local businesses to support . read more

We found this place off TikTok in Destin and came to check it out. The line was super long when we walked in but that usually is a good sign. It moved pretty quickly and we ordered. $5 for a Red Bull was kind of high! But the meals weren't too overly priced. Tip option comes up and we tip $10. My husband gets to the table and I was like Jesus! That was the quickest 10 buck tip, but we were ok because we thought we were going to get a server. Our meal was brought out and we asked for napkins & syrup. No one came back. Eventually we grabbed napkins from a dirty table on side of us. 20 minutes later the "server" / food runner came back and asked for napkins and syrup again & she just pointed to the napkins on the table that we had took from the other dirty table. At this point, we were kind of annoyed because we tipped 10$ for them to walk us our food. If you are accepting tips for absolutely doing nothing then that's when customers get a little annoyed. Besides the service, the food was good! The Nutella waffle 1000/10!! The veggie omelet 10/10!! The red eye was ok. Husband wasn't too crazy about, maybe a 5/10. Food is good but atmosphere felt like we were guilted into tipping 20% for 1% service. Let's not guilt trip and make your customers feel uncomfortable!!! read more

I was between a 3-4 and decided on a 4 after writing by review and realized I had more positives than negatives but really it's a 3.5. The restaurant is cute, nicely decorated. Let's start with the positive. Gouda grits! Oh my grits they were delicious! Serving sizes, neither of us could finish our meals. I had the club and it was tasty. My Hubbs had a waffle with strawberries. Self service sodas- I guess that's a positive. Quick to get your food. Everyone working was very nice. Clean bathroom Not so positives: Paper plates and plastic cutlery. The menus smell, like made my hands stink kinda smell. Mildewy- yuck! No iced tea. (Looked like no decaf for their coffee bar but I'm not sure) Overall the experience was ok but I wouldn't go back. read more
