we wanted to try a new brunch spot and we stumbled upon crackings! we lived about 30 minutes away and we got on the waitlist but still had to wait about 20 minutes before getting seated. it was very busy, which was to be expected for sunday brunch. i ordered the lobster eggs benedict and it unfortunately wasn't my favorite. the lobster cake part wasn't the greatest and it tasted a little fishy. the poached egg was cooked but i was expecting a runny yolk. everything else around that was delicious. the potato's were crispy and well seasoned as well. the country fried steak was absolutely delicious. crispy and the gravy was great. biscuit and pancakes were fluffy and moist. the service was pretty good despite being super busy. overall, our experience was pretty good and we recommend this place for those coming into town to try this place. i recommend getting on the waitlist as well!

Crackings was absolutely delicious! Our entire group thoroughly enjoyed the meal. From the drinks to the entrées, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. While it was on the pricier side, the quality of the food made it well worth it. They also did an excellent job accommodating our large party, which we really appreciated. The only downside was the automatic gratuity. While we understand why many restaurants add it for large groups, we typically prefer to tip based on the level of service, and in our case, we would have gladly left more. Our one suggestion would be to empty the outdoor trash cans more frequently. While we were waiting to be seated, the odor from the overflowing trash was unpleasant enough that we briefly considered leaving before our meal. Thankfully, we stayed, because the food was outstanding and made the visit worthwhile. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely return.

This place was just a few minutes away from our condo so we decided to give it a try. We went twice since we loved the food first time around. Weekends seem to be busy, so be prepared to wait a little. You can call ahead and get on their waiting list, they don't take reservations. Our servers were wonderful both times. First time we went I ordered the Maque Choux Benedict. The base was beautiful Golden brown Green Tomatoes instead of English muffin, delicious Crab cakes on top of that, topped off with poached eggs, scratch made maque choux, Creole Hollandaise, Andouille sausage, green onions and dusted with paprika. My sister got the Crawfish Egg-toufee. It also had the fried green tomatoes as the base, topped with Bacon, poached eggs, Creole Hollandaise, Crawfish and green onion. Both dishes were delicious. The Maque Choux Benedict was so good I devoured the entire dish. It's a really filling dish so it was perfect before the hike my sister and I went on. Second time around I ended up getting the Lobster gouda grits and my sister got Avocado toast with Lobster. The grits was delicious, just the right amount of spice and creamy. It's a must try. My sister enjoyed her dish as well. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely return on our next visit.

I thought about taking a picture after I ate most of my food

When we arrived there was a 20 to 30 minute wait. We stalked the bar area and found some seats pretty quick. The service was on point. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed their Gouda grits.

Our server was Sheyla. Our waitress was very attentive and responded to every request. We were very pleased with her service. The restaurant was finely decorated and we enjoyed the decor. The food was excellent. My daughter and I shared dessert which was great and my mother in law and another shared a plate. Highly recommend this place.

My family and I came here for breakfast. We were immediately greeted by the hostess who was very friendly. We were seated and our server was very pleasant. I ordered the coastal omelette and the orange sweet rolls with the hot chocolate. The orange sweet rolls missed the mark for me and for it to be a house favorite I thought it could have been better. The coastal omelette and hot chocolate, however, were outstanding! The omelette was full of flavor and packed with crab meat and shrimp. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Located in a small plaza with ample parking.

This place was good but not out of this world. I had the egg whites omelette and it good but no a wow factors. The service was good while seating at the bar. I asked to sub the potatoes for fruit and I was not informed that there is an up charge. When the bill came, there was a $4 up charge. That is a rip off to be honest. This is why I am given them a 3 star and the food was okay. Communication is key.

2/4 dishes we got were outstanding but my lobster Benedict had such a bad fishy taste it was inedible and the tiramisu french toast is very sugary and wish they didn't put such a big scoop of icing. It's just too rich. But the coastal omelet and maque choux are extremely flavorful and highly recommend those two. Service was also phenomenal

First off, let me just say the grits are absolutely out of this world. I've never had cheesy Gouda grits that compare to theirs. If you don't come for anything else, come for the grits. Service was fast and we had the huevos rancheros and the food portions are massive. My personal favorite are the coffee mugs.

My wife and I visited Crackings in Destin while on vacation. This is one of our must visits. We started out with Bloody Marys which were quite good even if they were spicier that I expected. My wife had the eggs Benedict Maque Choux and declared it quite excellent. I tried the Huevos Rancheros but I asked for the over medium egg to be scrambled since that I cannot stand a runny egg. It was also quite excellent as well. The server was great and took care of everything for us. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It is located at the corner of a strip center, but it is easy to get in and out of. Go and try it for yourself.

Delicious food, Cute breakfast spot Large portions, so be mindful when you order. I ordered this omelet and couldn't finish it all.

Everything about this place is amazing we go vacationing in Destin every year for the past 8 years and we eat here twice out of the 12 days we stay. Service is always perfect. I try something new every time I go and I'm never disappointed about the food they always exceed expectations.

Sat at the bar and ordered the crab cake Benedict. Everything was good and the bartender provided attentive and friendly service throughout the meal. A nice spot for a relaxed breakfast experience.

They were placed in a bag rather than box (I should have said something!) so of course the chocolate ended up on the bag and the other donuts. Luckily the donuts were good, though! Also ordered a slice of key lime pie (a must!) and a slice of a chocolate/vanilla cake (moist and perfect if you can't decided if you want a slice of chocolate or vanilla cake!). In addition to pastries, they also ordered food (mainly looked like breakfast and brunch), which looked delicious. If we had more time in Destin, would definitely stop by again for a meal.

Considered the crab croissant, but the pics on here didn't look so good and the croissant didn't look golden brown or flaky, like I tend to favor. We ordered the spicy carb scramble, cup of coconut grits, iced coffee, less whipped cream, jerk chicken basket, island burger and Blue Mahoe beer. $51.71 for everything except the island burger and the Blue Mahoe beer. The iced coffee comes topped with whipped cream, it's mixed with chocolate. It's obviously very chocolatey as a result of the added chocolate. The Blue Mahoe beer is made with mango, it's different for sure. The base of the beer tastes like a Blue Moon, maybe. Shows mango cart on the cocktail menu, no idea what a mango cart means though. Service was good, although our waitress seemed like she might be new since she didn't know the specifics of the menu items. Not sure why I was thinking the jerk chicken would not be on the bone, so that made it a bit messier than planned. The island burger is spicy, my FIL enjoyed it. The spicy crab scramble was good. Could have better jam to go with the toast, the grape jelly didn't look anything like a jelly and was quite runny for my toast at least. The mixed berry was a bit thicker for spreading. The coconut grit was quite creamy, just a very subtle coconut flavor. The jerk chicken sauce is super flavorful and quite good. The cabbage slaw on the side was bland and seemed like an afterthought to me. The fries were partly over fried and as if the oil had saturated into a few of the fries to make them look translucent even. Still overall a nice lunch.
