Although this was not the place we originally planned for Saturday brunch, a long wait at Bistrology caused us to shift our brunch plans here and just have a more reasonable wait. They were very packed here with customers elbow to elbow at every table the entire time we both waited and dined. So, it wasn't the most relaxing atmosphere but that could probably be fixed by going on a weekday or just earlier in the day when others are sleeping in. There were so many yummy food options here. I'm a savory breakfast/brunch girly, but with it being called The Pancakery I did want to give the pancakes a try. I liked that most options came with a side of pancakes so that was perfect for me to get both my sweet and savory fix. I chose the gulf shrimp omelette with a side of pancakes. I actually enjoyed the pancakes more! We were given warm syrup to go along with it. The omeletet was decent, just not too flavorful or memorable. The highlight of our visit was our sweet waitress. Im blanking on her name at the moment, but remember her mentioning she was from Nepal. She gave us each a pretty pink pen to keep. My younger son saw this place and really wanted to try it so we decided to have breakfast here on our last day. It was very busy, but we were able to be seated quickly. They had a great selection of different breakfast items. My kids went with pancake selections and my husband and I chose omelettes. Everything tasted really fresh and I even was able to get a free bag from showing that I posted pictures of my food on social media. I bought my husband a mug to take home. He really liked it, but it's already cracked, which is unfortunate. We will definitely come back here the next time we're in the area. read more

Busy busy spot! Long wait to be seated and it seemed like the host is trying to talk you out of staying. We had time to kill so we decided to wait. The food also took a long time to arrive but the server was apologetic about that and seemed genuine about it being out the norm. The food was good breakfast food and would be worth going back. My wife and I were in Destin for vacation and decided to do brunch at The Pancakery. My wife loves a fight of anything, so when she saw a flight of Mimosas, she had to try them. Heads up warning. The flight of Mimosas are not samples of various flavors, they are full sized Mimosas. I had to help her drink them, since that four is a lot to drink. I liked the cranberry and she liked the mango. My wife had the crepes (see photo) and I had the chorizo burrito. She loved the crepes. My burrito was good, but it really needed a big side of salsa. Best Breakfast in Destin! We went there several times on our latest vacation in Destin. The praline pancakes were the best. The portions were generous enough to share and still feel full when leaving. The bacon had a great smoky flavor that I have never tasted in northern restaurants. We put our table in ahead of time only to be told they could not seat us until our whole party was standing inside the building at check in. Mind you there was not enough space inside the building for us to do so. After this they seat a table with half the party there and 20 minutes later the next half of the party gets sat down. Terrible service and the "doubled" baked potato was lacking big time. We have been multiple times and never had an issue with service or food before . We ordered a baked potato which was good size but very little toppings and the price was 11.99. Never paid that for a baked potato and wont again. They wanted to charge for extra sour cream as well even though they didnt put any on my potato to begin with.
