Chicken, egg & cheese biscuit the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time!

Hidden gem in my home town recommended by another local! *** Chicken, egg & cheese biscuit the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time!

Great hot food for a great price! I paid $11.10 for 2 meals, one with 3 tenders and fries and the other with 2 (basically 3 because it was a huge combined tender) tenders and fries! Pleasantly surprised with the delicious taste, and nice people there too. Only downside is that there is no seating open and they did not have a wide variety of sides available. Edit: Went back the next morning for breakfast!! Gravy tastes homemade, biscuits nice and moist, good bacon and sausage and eggs.

Delicious biscuit(very runny, unsalted gravy), perfectly cooked bacon(but crazy salty), undercooked grits with zero salt/butter, cold eggs.

Well, we were excited about trying this place, since there were good reviews. It is a facility I would have turned right back around and left, if the food reviews hadn't been good. We walked in, and the lady was less then polite...I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but she continued to be abrupt and plain rude. We were the only ones in there, and she acted annoyed with us.... we should have walked out. They had Sunday lunch "specials", and I saw on the board that breakfast was only until 10:30 am. I asked her about the lunch special, and she exasperatedly responded that they only serve breakfast today. (Turned out she was very courteous and friendly to two parties who came in behind us, sooooo??????) We went ahead and ordered, and the plates looked like slop($7.53). I thought about the reviews I'd read, and I hoped for these best. Sadly, there is not much positivity to share. The grits were undercooked and crunchy with zero butter or salt...the eggs were cold and hard...the gravy had no flavor or salt and was extremely runny...the bacon was cooked perfectly, but was extremely salty...that leaves the biscuit! At least there was one positive thing about this place! That's why I gave it a one star....if possible, it would've been a zero star if it weren't for the biscuits. They were good! Maybe the chicken is amazing.... like the biscuits, but everyone was taking the food to go (not sure how the restaurant is open just due to the disgusting walls, floors, counters, used plastic piping up against the wall, etc...). Save your time and your money and spend the extra money for great food that you can't easily make at home and eat somewhere else...

We were in town for the weekend and I found this on google/yelp. The people were friendly and the food was pretty good. It's homecooking. Exactly what I was craving while I was out of town. It isn't a five star, fine dining restaurant, but it was good. They have everything precooked already and you just walk up and tell them what you want. I liked that the fried chicken didn't have too much going on. It is actually one of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Usually I can't eat much of fried chicken because I always taste the sodium or seasonings going on with it, but this one was made just right. The biscuits and gravy was also pretty good. The sweet tea wasn't bad, but it could've been sweeter.

Wow...do not judge a book by its cover. This place is fantastic. I got a chicken, bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. My folks got bacon, egg and cheese biscuits. Took them to go. My gosh the people here are so sweet and nice, and if you just ask for something they're happy to make it (they made that clear to us). I highly recommend this over ANY other place on the 30a strip for a great breakfast. Do not waste your time or money elsewhere.

They're LINING UP for the chicken!

Great bacon, egg and cheese biscuit sandwich! Not gonna lie, it's a dive. But that's not the point. The biscuit was legit. Huge, flaky, and tasty. Bacon, thick and flavorful. Cheese is a slice of American. Coffee is meh and there's no cream, only milk. Not a problem. It's coffee that doesn't really need cream. I can't wait to come back and try the chicken, which people are starting to LINE UP for as I write this review. This is clearly a local favorite. Good stuff.

The Caf was exactly what I was looking for; a quick, no nonsense breakfast joint. Lightning fast service served me up a sausage and egg biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was fresh and flaky; a real bonus. The folks were friendly and to the point on getting me breakfast. The coffee was very mild and doesn't need milk. The fried chicken smelled tempting... The price of my breakfast was excellent. It's located at the Chevron gas station. A great pit stop!

This place is connected on to a gas station but don't let that change your mind about stopping and getting some southern home cooking. We stopped in and ate lunch last week. We got there rite at 12 lunch time. This is a really small place and gets really busy during lunch. You will think there will not be anywhere to sit when you go in but most people get there lunch to go. It's a meat and 2 veggies buffet line. They normally have 3 types of meats every day. They also serve breakfast which I've heard is really good. This is a very busy gas station also so just keep that in mind but don't hesitate to stop and eat breakfast or lunch.

The soup was my favorite crab soup out of the 3 I tried around 30a. We got the shrimp carbonara and shrimp and grits for our entrees. The carbonara portion was huge. Definitely enough to split with someone and still have leftovers. We were pretty stuffed and nothing piqued our interest so we passed on dessert. The server was nice and attentive. Appetizers came out pretty quick. The complimentary bread was good. Our only criticism was that the shrimp came with the tails on so we can get our hands dirty with sauce to remove the tails off. Not going to deduct points for it as it seems like everywhere in 30a serves shrimp with tails but my southern husband was disappointed by it at a nice restaurant. We will definitely be back on future trips to 30a. I feel like it was the one restaurant we went to during our trip where we could have a nice conversation without having a hard time hearing each other across the table.

I got the lobster in paradise and the arugula salad and both were delicious! My husband got the filet and asparagus and while it was prepared safely, it was his least favorite steak of the trip. Our waitress was great and very friendly! However, when we got to the hostess stand and gave them our name, the employees at the stand seemed to be bickering a bit and we weren't sure if it was related to my husbands allergies/where to seat us or something else, but it made us a little nervous. The happy hour deals are amazing and people line up at the door at open for the $6 martini special (bar only - but you can get up and walk over there). We did get to participate in the bogo half off entree deal which was nice. Overall, I would return but the first impression with the hosts just worried us a bit.

Big and small fire pits and chairs on the sand for those who want that, as well as a big open-air deck with a lot of tables. It's hard not to have a good experience in this setting. Seafood and sushi are their main offerings, though there are several steaks and other plates that will serve the non-fish people well. They've got a number of great looking apps, so you have variety for sure. We tried the trio of dips with cucumber and pita bread. I wish one of them hit it out of the park, but none did. The smoked feta was way smoked and too rich, while the guac option and the edamame option were nothing special. We'll try something else next time. The steak salad came was over-dressed... give the patron the dressing on the side to let them choose the right amount. The ravioli special came with two large pieces of grouper and, while slightly over cooked, contributed to dish with a lot of different tastes that went well together. In terms of drinks, the only NA offering is one Athletic lager ... please lean in on that and bring some more creativity to the NA cocktail and NA beer list. All said, though, it was a good meal and we'll come back with visitors to the area to share the place with others.
