We were seated in a booth (by request) and our waitress came to take our order promptly. I ordered the Old School Wrap, which is basically a breakfast burrito (Gangster Style - which comes with beans and jalapenos). I asked for the burrito without sausage. The waitress alerted me that I could replace the meat with veggie sausage, so I took her up on that offer. It was absolutely delicious! The icing on the cake was the homemade hot sauce that she recommended. It was like a salsa verde but it was soooo good that I asked for some with my doggy bag. My son and husband were also pleased with their meals - pancakes and bacon. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will be sure to visit again when we come back to Destin. Sidebar - I left my keys at the restaurant and didn't realize it until I was 3 hours away!! LOL! I called the restaurant to see if they could ship them to me and they kindly obliged. I coordinated with Joshua (the manager) and he was able to ship them out the very next day. Big shoutout to Josh and Christina for their hospitality and kindness. I hope their pillows are always cool when they sleep :-)

That level of personal service always makes us feel so welcome and appreciated. The food and drinks are consistently great as well, but honestly, we'd keep coming back for the service alone. They don't take reservations, so we put our name on the wait list. We started at #21 and by the way our shuttle got there from the time share we had moved up to #5. It's a happening spot so I suggest you do the same. When we were finally seated we had a nice spot outside to people watch while we ate. It was a beautiful day so that spot was perfect. The menu has a lot to offer, but OF COURSE, we started with drinks. Two ordered the peach bellini, one ordered the whipped pineapple mimosa, and I had the Lavender Paloma. The Lavender Paloma was different. It hinted of lavender, not too sweet and I couldn't taste the liquor, but I definitely felt it after awhile. Then we ordered brunch. I'm an eggs benedict fan, so I ordered the Trifecta, which was a combination of three different styles of egg benedict: Cochon, Chicken St. Charles and Bayou Shrimp. All three were quite tasty. My partner ordered a side salad that she was raving over (spring mix w/tomato and champagne vinagrette). We also had fried green tomatoes which were perfect, French toast bites, and an egg platter with potatoes and bacon. Everybody enjoyed their meals and drinks. I'm sure if we lived in the area, we'd go back.

I wish there was a location closer to where I live! For a chain restaurant (that is known more for…read morethings other than food) they have always been amazing and consistent. Coming to this location for the first time proved that streak still continues. The LUMP BLUE CRAB BISQUE - Sherry, Cream, Crushed Herb Croutons to start was fabulous. The MACADAMIA-NUT-CRUSTED SNAPPER - Hawaiian Red Sea Salt, Almond Rice, Grilled Asparagus, Wasabi Soy Beurre Blanc was just as good. Yes, something I usually pass on entirely, dessert, the key lime pie was great too. The only disappointment was the piña colada I ordered. The "bar" is set high on this one by the Marlin Bar in Orlando so I'll give them a pass. Service was very attentive and the place itself is brand new. I wish the developer would have made more parking closer to the buildings. In the off season it was nuts, coming here during peak season is going to be a challenge. One aspect they truly excel at is the live entertainment. The music is just right--loud enough for the audience to sing "Sweet Caroline," yet soft enough to allow for casual conversations at the table.

We are typically there at least three out of the seven days we stay in town. Unfortunately, after our experience on Mother's Day, we do not plan on returning. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. with a party of nine, hoping to enjoy some of the happy hour menu and pricing. We were kept waiting in the front until exactly 5:00 p.m., even though it was obvious that tables on the back deck were already available. Once seated, our server was polite and did a good job taking care of us. During conversation, we mentioned the long wait, and he explained that it is apparently "protocol" to delay seating larger parties until after 5:00 so they do not receive happy hour pricing. If that is truly company policy, I find it extremely disappointing and dishonest. We felt manipulated instead of welcomed. The food quality was also far below what we have experienced in past years. The crusted snapper that was recommended to us was terrible and had to be sent back. My grandson's burger was also very poor quality and honestly unpleasant. The only dishes our table generally agreed were decent were the squash casserole bowl and the chicken parmesan. Another disappointment was learning that bread is no longer served. For families with children, that was always something simple that helped while waiting on meals. Between the removal of those small touches, the higher prices, and the noticeable decline in food quality, the restaurant no longer feels worth returning to. I'm not writing this to get anyone in trouble. I'm writing because this restaurant used to be one of the highlights of our vacation every year, and it is frustrating to see the experience decline this much. Chris Tomlinson
