Stopped by Rive Cafe for some breakfast during a recent trip to the area. Rive cafe is located in an old (no longer working) car wash that has turned into a small food truck park. There are plenty of outdoor tables with umbrellas as well as some comfier covered seating as well. We ordered at the food truck and then they called out when it was ready. I ordered their avocado toast. It comes on two large slices on rustic bread. There's plenty of avocado as well as some seasoning. It was a solid good and a tasty start to the day. They did have suggested modifications--if you prefer a more robust and meaty avo toast, you can get it with bacon or sausage. I'm a purist (ok, I do occasionally like an egg on my avo toast) so I stuck to the original. If you want a low key spot to enjoy a bite in the sunshine, this could be the spot for you. read more

Delicious breast wrap. I asked to sub for Turkey bacon but unfortunately they didn't carry that so I got creative and asked to add rice to my breakfast wrap. The staff member was super accommodating to my request and the wrap was enough for two meals for me. I ate half while I was there and paired it with the fresh salsa that was served with it and took the other half back to my hotel. I frequent this spot because they serve quality coffee made with beans they curate and roast in house, and because there are live plants everywhere. I'm into plants. Also, my wife loves treats. I always order the same thing from Rivé; avocado toast (burned) with sprouts and bacon. Kiara recognized my car pulling into the lot and proactively started burning my toast to minimize my wait. Unfortunately, I was stopping to get a crêpe for my wife and did not order my usual toast, so she was left with burned toast and nowhere to put it. Shoutout to Kiara for being atop her game. Bravo. This place is super cute! It's not a typical restaurant, but multiple food trucks with a different theme. We ordered from the Crepe truck and the regular food truck. I had the grilled cheese and it was delicious. I could only eat half of it because of the size! My husband had a breakfast Cuban and he said it too was delicious. Our son had a crepe and was unable to finish the entire thing because of the size. My one and only complaint was how slow it was to order and receive our food. There are only 2 people working in each truck it appears and they only take 2 orders at a time and then shut the window to prepare those orders.
