Firehouse in Uptown Station is terrible since they have a new owner. I have not had a good experience with them since. We went at 8:15 pm, they close at 9:00. They had thrown the tea out to clean the container and that is all I drink. This has happened numerous times. I complained and the girl said, "Jay told me to do it." More customers came in and she called for Jay to help her but he did not. He was cleaning and didn't care. My sub was cold and it is usually warm. I am so disappointed in this location. read more

Came here to try new fries and sub. Kenny at the counter said that they don't make the new Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Sub. That they also are telling corporate that they do not want to have fries because they don't want to clean the grease traps. If they're not wanting to do that work then what else are they wanting to avoid. The room was filled with a smoke that they weren't even opening doors to clear out. Music was okay though. Got a turkey sub here today, it was pretty good. Not a huge fan of the soft roll. Not a huge amount of meat on sandwich for $18.00 combo, came with chips and soda. Very clean and friendly staff. read more

The food and service were top knotch. What was most important and made my day was that the girls working all smiled and greeted me upon entering!!! They also were polite, engaged and made eye contact. Jessica, Bri and Amiyah, killed it! Kudos to the team and leadership! read more

Family has been bugging me to stop here and try these subs and sandwiches. I finally succumbed to their badgering but I'm not sure I'll be returning anytime soon. Selection - great. All kinds of options from which to choose. Calorie counts listed for all us weight watchers too. Hot sauces - fantastic (except for the several bottle that sat empty on the counter). Sandwiches - just so-so. Lots of fresh bread not so fully filled. And the fillings were a bit inconsistent. Family had ups and downs interns of some sandwiches were sparse, so just below middle of the road and one - very nicely stuffed. For more stars, they need to fill the 'wiches consistently. Flavors - great. Customer service - great as well. Friendly, courteous, and attentive. Why not so sure about returning? 'Cause I like a jammed-to-overflowing sandwich (like Jersey Mike's) that are over-the-top, loaded to the brim. (But in a pinch, I could be coaxed back here. More and more often, I find a sneaking urge to just DEVOUR a twelve inch Firehouse Sub. MMMMM MMMMMM MMMMMM. Delicious subs overstuffed with meat, tastes so damn good that you suspect there's crack in it and hope to not get randomly selected for a drug test at work. DON'T MAKE ME CONFESS! "Yes!!" You blurt out between sobs, "I was there. I ate it. Yes all twelve inches." You nasty dirty thang you. That's what happened to me once in a while when the urge hits. I will sit in front of the TV while watching Forensic Files, or some other show where people get killed, and eat TWO six inch halves of the sub. After the first half I usually debate whether or not I should eat the other half. The answer is inevitably a resounding YES! So maybe you do feel slightly dirty afterwards. But you feel it with a smile hinting at the corners of your grease stained mouth. read more

What happened to this place? Somebody new bought it a year or two ago and hasn't maintained the old stellar reputation. I ordered a sub with no may only to get home to find it smothered in mayo. So I take it back and they make me a new one. No apology no nothing. Just a new sub. When I get this one home its messed up too. I live 4 miles from this place. I drove back afain and they made me another one and refunded my money at my insistence. They did not offer. They made me a new sandwich again but by this time I couldn't enjoy it. At least they apologized this time. Very sad I used to love this place. read more

Firehouse subs are always good but the staff here is amazing and it's very clean. I just got down to Florida and this is my fast food go to. Other places have had way too long waits and terrible service. Definitely recommend this location read more

My family and I visited this Firehouse Subs recently and it was great. The food was prepared properly and they were very nice. Apparently, they were training a new person and it took a bit longer than usual, but it was really not a problem. They apologized profusely, but I completely understand. Sometimes a new person just needs a little extra time to learn and make sure things are right. That being said, it was all done correctly. I will return in the future. read more

This is the best Firehouse in town. The employees are always smiling and friendly. I am the type of person that has to change something on my sandwich and it is usually wrong when I get it. Staying true to form I ordered a meatball sub a little differently than most. It was made the way I wanted it. I ate the whole thing!!! The subs at Firehouse are the finest around. They are a bit pricey but still you really won't find better subs in the area ( except for J.Mikes). My wife & I just ate there for lunch today & I have no complaints. read more

Dripped with grease so the meat fell out of the bread. Taste was good but they need to strain it before putting it on the bun.

Finding a decent sandwich in the FWB area is next to impossible. We don't have any sandwich deli's besides Publix and no Jersey Mike's. I decided to try Firehouse subs because I was desperate for a decent sandwich. The good - The staff were friendly, the place is clean, and my sandwich only took 5 minutes to prepare. The bad - it's hard for me to rate the food above Subway. The bread taste like your standard mass produced Subway fare. The meat wasn't much better than Subway. I ordered an Italian 12" and the ham was just way too sweet. In addition to the already sweet bread and it feels like your eating dessert. The 12" cost 10$. Ok I don't mind paying 10$ for a decent sandwich but this was definitely not it Chief. It's back to Publix and Jimmy John's for this guy. read more

About every six months I will stop at a Firehouse thinking the subs are going to be like they were when this chain first started popping up about fifteen+ years ago...every single time I have to be sadly reminded the sandwiches are no longer like that..I think the fat one of the two brothers that owns this entire chain must be eating up all the profits because everything about the sandwiches are smaller and skimpier now to make up for his voracious appetite....the bread is smaller and not as good and there is not as much meat in there as there once was and the prices which were never low to begin with in the glory days, have shot up as well..on my last visit I got my standard order of an Italian Sub and it was just "ok"...not exactly a rousing endorsement..as my sandwich Baseline I rate everything against a "Pub Sub" from Publix, and if you are not as good as that, it's not worth going back...I would put this Firehouse right on the precipice of not going back...three things about this specific Firehouse that might make me return are it's very clean...the staff is nice and the collection of hot sauces they have available to put on your sandwich are incredible....one thing they have that makes me not want to come back is they have that Freestyle Coke Machine which I loathe as much as the owners of them do...watching people fiddle with the screen and debating which one of the 7324 flavors they wants drives me crazy when I just want to get a damn Diet Coke!!....If Publix is slammed like it normally is Firehouse is certainly better than it's neighbors Jimmy Johns and Subway, but that is not exactly a lot to brag about...these are strictly "stoke the fire" subs that you will forget about 20 minutes after you eat them..a generous 3 star rating when in reality it's a 2.5 star sandwich shop read more

TL;DR: In case you didn't guess it, I frickin love this place. Full Version: It's hard to screw up Firehouse Subs. I've been to this location several times and I've always found it to be clean and the staff to be friendly and efficient. I've also been to several other Firehouse locations in Florida, Alabama, and Texas, and I have to say the food quality is pretty consistent (and by consistent I mean delicious). Firehouse also seems to have added some new menu items in the last few months, these all being salads or smaller "low-calorie" sandwiches (which to me defeats the entire purpose of Firehouse, but what the heck). On this particular visit, my girlfriend chose to try one of those, the Datil Pepper Chicken. The sandwich wasn't as spicy as I'd expected, and she had no complaints. I, of course, chose the granddaddy of steamed subs: the #10 Smokehouse BBQ Beef Brisket. It's 880 calories of awesome, and that's before you add in chips and the obligatory cherry limeade (see tip, related), but it'll be the tastiest 880 calories you'll ever know for the 3-4 minutes it takes to scarf it down (don't judge me!). Also, if you're thinking of adding veggies or other toppings, it's only a REAL #10 if you get it with the cheese/mayo/BBQ sauce, as it is advertised and as God intended it to be eaten. Finally, you'll want to be near a bathroom for the next 2-3 hours after you finish this, so if you're driving cross-country go with something lighter (but oh, the temptation!). Long story short, Firehouse rocks, and I'll definitely be back. Even when it's crowded and takes 20 minutes to get your food, it's well worth the wait. read more
