Starting off with the food was great. It was very well prepared and displayed. The drinks were tasty as well. The elote burrito was delicious and the million dollar bacon was as good as advertised. The spiked watermelon wake-up was refreshing as well. Now the bad, while the staff was nice it was incredibly unorganized. I had overheard them saying the kitchen was understaffed but that would mean nothing to the tables that sat empty adding to the extended wait. I was there for 1:15hrs and one of the tables next to mine sat dirty the entire meal service Many many tables sat unbused while people were waiting patiently to try this establishment. My waiter actually got one of the lower tips I've ever given anyone as he had us wait 10 min for a drink order, told us he was going to bring some waters and we didn't see him again, while three cups sat empty on our table till right before we got out check. This wasn't what I expected with how nice and clean the place is advertised. Two tables as pictured had trash under them from the time I arrived till after I left, super unacceptable. I don't know who the manager on shift was, but they def could have reallocated their resources to resetting the dining room to accept more guests by simply cleaning tables after someone ate there. My wife and I decided to swing by First Watch for breakfast and Sydney was amazing. Her attention to detail and her serving skills were perfection. She made sure our food came out perfect and even asked us if it was ok if our avocado toast came out before the omelette. We said "yes please!". (Because warm avocado would be gross lol) She greeted us immediately and had a great attitude. If we ever come back we will definitely request her. Thank you Sydney for a great experience! This place is amazing! Had a super late brunch, it was actually lunchtime but we wanted breakfast foods and they were still serving it. The staff is super nice and there a lot of great options to choose from. Lots of seating options as well with some booths and other large tables for bigger groups. Highly recommend the holiday specials including the double crunch tacos that came with a ton of carnitas and also fresh fruit. Will definitely be back! read more

Long wait and very busy; however, it was worth it. There was coffee for the wait. Food was tasty and pretty presentation. Staff friendly, we would go again. We had the lavender french toast, million dollar bacon, and another french toast with eggs. Fruit was fresh and everything tasted really good. This has to be the WORST First Watch to exist. There's no way you are running a restaurant with no staff. Telling parties of 2-4 people the wait is 2 hours? Everyone is being turned away. There's no way this manager is in charge. We are coming from Dallas and we have never experience anything like this at First Watch. I wish there was a 0 star option. read more

Second visit here. The food is great and even better when it's hot food. First visit was excellent all around. Second visit was good but not great. The food was tepid. I'm certain it's due to being short staffed which many restaurants and shops seem to be challenged with. The ambiance is casual and clean. Although our most recent dine in experience the dishes were more cold than warm, you know it's good quality food when you still eat it. We will be back and recommend it. First watch is a delicious place to grab breakfast while at destin! The menu is very diverse with a lot of options to choose from. My parents got a coffee and were both thrilled to see that they leave you with a whole pot each to use as needed. I got a hot chocolate and it was very good. For my meal, I got the farmhouse skillet hash which has potatoes, avocado, bacon, cheese, and two eggs cooked to your liking. This was a delicious breakfast. My mom enjoyed her omelet and my dad enjoyed his traditional breakfast. They did bring out my dad a wrong meal at first but they were quick to fix it and brought him out the correct meal in a timely manner. The inside has a very nice decor as is very spacious.
