Cutest place! Decent lemon sorbet (like it more tart) and loved the gift shop. Bought an African market bag that was beautiful, broke in 15 mins but repairable. Absolutely stunning! We are in town on vacation and it coincides with my husband's 40th birthday. I knew that I wanted to get a cake but I'm not familiar with the area. I emailed back and forth with Macaron Chef to place the order. They were so kind and gracious. I wasn't sure what design or flavors so I just asked for whatever the most popular one was and that we were doing black and gold decorations. The cake turned out even more beautiful than I imagined! I was Celebrating my 55 Birthday on Vacation & ordered a Birthday cake I messaged back and fourth several times about the cake ' The day I pick up the cake it was in a big egg cartoon so I could not really look at it until we took it out of the box' the cake was Beautifully decorated but it said Happy 50th My husband was able to turn the 0 into a 5 But when it was time to eat the cake that's where it really went bad the chocolate filling I ordered was not inside the cake some thin layer of I am not sure what it was filled with? I'm already a fan of The Macaron Chef from their FWB location but this new location in Destin is even better! They did such a good job with the inside decor and it's the same great desserts! We eat here about 2-3 times a week. It's a great Vegan/Vegetarian/Regular lunch spot. She offers a variety of items and French desserts plus handmade macrons. Check out her menu! We found this cafe by accident, in the area for a doctor's appointment. We both enjoyed the Turkey, Cranberry and Brie Sandwich. It was not quite what we expected [no slabs of brie, cranberry relish] but was delicious: turkey, avocado, pear, with a spread made of cranberry and brie. The sauce was so delicious I wish they bottled and sold it ! The sandwich was of generous proportions, and came with a side of choice [chips, fruit, pasta salad, soup, etc.] -- we chose soup, asparagus and kale, which was also delicious. We didn't have dessert, but the desserts were tempting: creme brulee, chocolate mousse, and several flavors of macaroons. There were 5 flavors - I got a red velvet and a pomegranate. The red velvet was good but had a hint of refrigerator taste (hence the 4 stars.) the pomegranate was perfect though. Absolutely superb! I originally went in this bakery just to get macrons but the couple in front of me were raving about the food. So I decided to get lunch and I was not disappointed. The man and woman behind the counter were very polite and helpful. I ordered the turkey, Brie, and cranberry sandwich and it was divine! They added some avocado, bacon, and other fruits into the sandwich which offered more of a balanced flavor profile than other turkey cranberry sandwiches I have had in the past. Ok...the good part was that they make macarons and they had some REALLY yummy ones! The cookies were a bit inconsistent some perfectly moist in the center and crisp on the outside and others completely over baked hard and crumbly. We got a box of 12 mixed for $24, which is reasonably priced for macarons. The creme brûlée was the tits in flavor but not great in texture and consistency. The fruits were cooked perfect and put together in the French fashion with jelly in the middle, but the flavors were really really strong. Instead of a natural subtle raspberry, blue berry, strawberry flavors, they tasted more like jolly ranchers. Which wasn't horrible, just unexpected and artificial. read more

I have some health issues that flare up when I eat foods with a lot of preservatives or chemicals and the menu was very considerate for people with my issues.
