I ordered a two-tier pink Minnie Mouse cake for my daughter's birthday and unfortunately had a very…read moredisappointing experience. When I arrived at the scheduled pickup time, the cake had not been made because the baker had my phone number recorded incorrectly and was unable to contact me. While she did quickly try to "make something happen," the result was far from what was ordered. The cake design did not resemble a Minnie Mouse theme-- a paper "2" had been printed, cut out, and attached to the cake, and random butterflies were added that did not match the theme. In addition to the design issues, the cake itself was completely frozen at pickup. It was extremely difficult to cut during the party and crumbled badly once sliced, making it difficult to serve. Considering the cake cost $193, I was very disappointed and even had to redecorate it myself before the party. I also called afterward to express my concerns, but during the conversation the baker continued speaking with someone else while I was talking and did not seem interested in addressing the issue. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the quality of the product and the lack of customer service were very disappointing for such an important event.

We were in town for a family function and had another great experience at the toasted yolk café…read more When we pulled up, the parking lot was incredibly busy so we thought we were gonna have to wait for a bit as it turned out we didn't! We were seated right away, but almost every table in the place was packed. Our server greeted us pretty quickly and got our beverage order started. My husband stuck with coffee and I got one of the energizer beverages the morning sunrise that includes elderflower tonic, orange juice, and period strawberry. It was delicious. I chose to order the breakfast burrito with fruit as my side. The fruit was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. There were a lot of grapes and it would've been nice to have some more of the melon but overall it was delicious. Breakfast burrito was nice and tasty. I would've liked a little bit more meat in it but again it was still delicious. My husband crafted his own breakfast and got bacon with some eggs and the French toast. He said everything was delicious.

I think it's fair to say that I ordered via DoorDash, and some--if not most--of the issues I…read moreexperienced could've been solved with the right condiments or a dine-in setting. That said, I ordered the egg breakfast with chicken strips, cheese grits, and one biscuit with gravy, and unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience with the taste. The quality of the food itself seemed fine, but the seasoning and flavor were seriously lacking. The chicken strips were crispy but bland, the grits were a bit watery with very little cheese flavor, and the biscuit with gravy, which I was really looking forward to, didn't have the depth or warmth I expected. It all felt flat and under-seasoned, even for a basic breakfast plate. I can only speak to the delivery experience, and while everything arrived sealed and intact, there were no options or instructions to customize the order--no sauces, condiments, or notes on how it was prepared, which may have made a big difference. I haven't visited in person, but I've seen positive reviews and would be open to giving it another chance dining in. I imagine the atmosphere and fresh plating could change the experience entirely. For now, though, this particular order didn't hit the mark for me. Hoping my next try--hopefully in person--will tell a different story.
