Soft bread and the Au Jus is not overly salty. Definitely a filling lunch. I tried their gelato. A treat in its self. Very smooth creamy and rich. This is not just a rich ice cream but it's real gelato!! Service - counter service but they did remember my name. Great food and portions, very accommodating service, and nice seating inside and out. This has a unique italian deli setup, and an almost ma and pop family feel that is increasingly rare these days. We ordered a large pizza, half Nona's, half Diavolo, and loved it. It was almost New York style, and large enough for plenty of leftovers (for 2 adults). A nearby Italian restaurant should be a move requirement for me. They're a must in life. And I'm loving this spot. My husband is obsessed with their sandwiches (yay for me! Off the hook X) Plus they have REAL cannolis. By that I mean, unfilled shells with the filling separate until you order. YES! That's the real deal baby. Big fan, as you can see. As a former member of the east coast growing up, this place reminded me of home. Very friendly staff. They do get swamped, but try to keep up with demand. Menu has been expanding since I moved in the area over a year ago. Recommend calling in your order and taking out. You can always pickup the bakery items fresh when you show up. Butterscotch pecan cookies were not good with a lard after taste 3 out of 10. Meatball sub was very tasty 8.1 out of 10. Made a reservation through their website, but they don't really take reservations. Greeted by super friendly staff. Ordered a side of meatballs (delicioso!), a NY Italian sub, a chicken parm sub and a slew of Italian baked goods. Everything was very good. Restaurant was clean and well lit. Not only was EVERYTHING INCREDIBLE, but the service was phenomenal too! I was desperately craving a Lobster Tail pastry for my birthday... I drove an hour and a half to get one locally here. New Deli here in Gulf Breeze in the same strip mall where we work out so I decided to take a look. Upon entering the ladies at The Bakery greeted me as I looked over the showcase. I said I'll be back after I get something to eat. It was after lunch so only a couple of tables were being used. The Menu is limited to 3 choices of sandwiches. No Child portions offered or 1/2 sandwiches either which is disappointing for smaller eaters. It would be nice to know how many inches long is the sandwich. I ended up ordering a slice of Pizza which is readily available in a display case behind the cashier. I chose to eat inside but the tables were not cleaned or wiped down. With 4 employees behind the counter I would think that the tables would be monitored/cleaned after each customer left. I did enjoy the taste but the crust was too thin and more like a cracker. As I was leaving the 4 ladies were all chatting and no one acknowledged me when I went to the bakery showcase so I just left. I wanted to make a purchase but since no one thanked me or asked if I needed help. I left disappointed. I'm sure things will get better as they receive more reviews. read more

I was born and raised in NY. Just here to say thank you and please don't ever leave... in fact if you could move closer to me that would be great. Worth the 20 mile, 40 minute, $6 toll either way... I can see that this place is starting slow and paying attention to detail. I can't wait to see how it thrives over the years to come. From some previous reviews, I think they've gotten the just opened issues taken care of. I didn't find any issues with the quality, service, etc.. Finally a place that has good pizza around here. Right behind the tiger point Starbucks. We got a pepperoni pizza, NY Italian sandwich, and the chocolate and vanilla bean pusties. The pizza crust is great along with the toppings, easily the best pizza around. The NY Italian is a giant sandwich, a ton of great toppings, and the bread is soft but with a nice crust. The desserts were good. Not as good as the pizza and sandwich but definitely good. The ambiance is nice with a good number of tables and the service was great. Friendly and prompt. I'm excited for this place because it is actually good pizza. Just looked and Jimmy B's is rated 4.2 and Hungry Howie's 4.3. I think I'd rather eat Chuck e cheese pizza than both of those. I'm a tough critic and this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had, even including NYC. read more

Stopped in to get a couple of sandwiches after seeing good reviews, but one needs to look at where the reviews are coming from in order to know to rely on them or not, different standards. The sandwiches (subs), were a good size but there are only four to choose from which is odd for a deli. They also have pizza which looked dry and pastries that were just ok. None of the pastries or cookies had prices listed so when I got to the register I was a little sticker shocked. The cannoli's weren't bad but were kind of small at $5 a piece, and could not hold a match to a real Brooklyn cannoli and what was suppose to be a ricotta tart was more cake than ricotta. All in all, $70 for two subs, four cannolis, two patties, and four cookies was exorbitant; especially for this area. I wish them luck but wouldn't go back. read more
