Greek Salad
Kerri F.

A Local favorite for sure. I walked from my Airbnb with ease. Love the option of ordering one slice of pizza with any toppings I desired. Greek salad was fresh and I was sure to eat all of it. Staff was super friendly and working hard. Ambience is casual as it is along the boardwalk. Tons of tourist and very flexible hours.

When on the beach & feeling hungry & looking for an inexpensive tasty bite head over to Papa's Pizza for a quick meal. Pizza is always a hot & the pizza here will not disappoint, it hot & fresh with a nice crispy crust & flavorful sauce, could use a tad more cheese but overall a nice pizza I'd come again

Slice of pepperoni pizza

Staying on Pensacola Beach for a vacation, I was craving pizza and had heard good things about this spot. I saw they had Sicilian style pizza on the menu so I called to order one for takeout but was disappointed to hear they were unavailable that day. I decided to take the short drive over to get a few slices to go to see if this pizza I lived up to the hype. It was a Friday night around 6 PM and only two tables were taken up in this quaint little pizza joint. I ordered two slices to go, and the cashier repeated back to me my order and reiterated that I would like them in a box. I told her yes, and when I paid in cash, she looked confused and struggled to come up with the correct change, which was not actually correct, but I wasn't going to hassle her over a few cents. I waited for my pizza for over 10 minutes and when I finally made eye contact with the woman at the register again, she seemed to realize that my pizza had been sitting behind the counter and brought them to the table on two paper plates. I looked confused and asked her if I could get them in a box like I had ordered, and she rolled her eyes and took them behind the counter, putting them in a box but using her hands, which had been handling money and other people's beverage glasses, in the process. She was dismissive and came off pretty rude in general. Having worked in the service industry many years, I can understand if you're busy or you're having an off night, but this lady just seemed to have a stick where the sun doesn't shine and was rude for no good reason. I even tipped before all this happened and the pizza was OK, but I don't think I would go back after this customer experience. There are definitely other places to get mediocre pizza on Pensacola Beach and the FOH isn't so rude!

I don't know how this place has such a low rating. This place is a Pensacola Beach institution that I've been eating at since high school. Yea, it's never gonna win a Michelin Star, but it's still darn good pizza. So there's a boardwalk full of restaurants and shops and bars along the edge of the beach on the bay side of things at Pensacola Beach. Businesses come, businesses go, but this place remains. It's at the very end, right next to an ice cream shop, so it's the first or the last thing people see when strolling the whole boardwalk. A statue of Papa himself greets you right before you walk in the door, and when you get inside, it's a cozy little shop with Pensacola decor and murals all over everywhere. Very quaint. You walk up to the counter and place your order. I brought my niece once day when I was visiting home. We went to Fort Pickens, the beach, and then came here for some lunch. She got a couple of slices of cheese, because she's boring, and I got a couple of slices of Peppino Schano (Broccoli, spinach, green peppers, onions, mushrooms). The crust is thin, and the bottom of it is borderline burnt, which makes it so crispy. Crispy, yet strong enough to not bend under the weight of the toppings. The amount of toppings is pretty nice. You get a good assortment of each of the veggies. Not too much, not too little. Overall, this is the pizza you need and deserve in the middle of a hot, hot, hot beach day at the best beach in the state. Get a Mexican Coke to go with your meal, and you'll want to give this place five stars as well.

Inside

There is not a lot of room in this pizza place but it was a cute old school restaurant. We ordered the extra large pepperoni pizza which was really good. We ordered it to go so it was not as fresh as I would have liked when we got it back to the room to eat. The bread sticks were okay. Literally bread sticks and garlic. The young lady who checked me out was not the nicest person but it was pretty busy for lunch time. I would eat the pizza again but eat it fresh at the restaurant.

Meh. This place use to be fabulous. I really missed it this time. Just wasn't good. Super salty, cheese was thicker and the sauce was way greasy and not the crispy bottom. Breadsticks were crust with a little butter and garlic salt on top.

I don't have any complaints. I think it took around 30 minutes for our order to be ready for pickup. We ordered a x large bacon pizza and a Greek salad. The pizza was really good and was the perfect amount for 4 people.

I wish it were better. This spot is located on the Pensacola Beach boardwalk which is an awesome location! They sell pizza by the slice but it is sadly mediocre at best. I ordered a slice of sausage pizza and it was similar to something I would have eaten in a middle school cafeteria. It wasn't the worst but also was not up to par with alot of the other pizza joints in town.

Boys wanted pizza after taking a boat ride to see the dolphins so we swung by here. I'm a bit of a pizza snob and although this did not hit my top five it is dang good pizza. Best I've had in Florida thus far. Kids and wife satisfied I'll call it a win. We had a fantastic server as well she did a great job and even pointed out some places we may enjoy.

Pizza by the slice or as a whole pie. New York style. Very very good! Also had a Greek salad. This place is a gem! Employees very nice! We will be back!

We had a slice one day and went back for a pie the next, because the pizza was good but we wanted pizza and it was the only option. It disappoints. The pie was better than the slice, but I always like pies better than slices. I hate giving negative reviews but I have to be honest. It didn't have a lot of sauce or cheese on it, and therefore not particularly tasty. The staff was very nice and service was fine.

One of the best pizza places in the pan handle! The wait can be long but it's worth it! There's indoor and outdoor seating too!

Sorely disappointed (no red onions? Come on.)

That was me heading into Angelena's Ristorante Italiano. By this point, I was fully expecting the usual "it's amazing" translation, which in restaurant terms often means nice lighting, tiny portions, and flavors that peaked at olive oil. Instead, this place did the unthinkable. It actually lived up to the hype. The menu reads like a beautiful collection of words I absolutely cannot pronounce with confidence, but luckily fluency in Italian is not required when your taste buds immediately understand the assignment. I went with the bolognese lasagna, and this thing came out like a love letter to comfort food. Rich, bold, deeply flavorful, and gloriously rustic, the kind of dish that tastes like somebody's grandmother has been perfecting it since the Roman Empire. Every bite had depth. Nothing fussy, nothing trying too hard, just serious flavor delivered with confidence. The focaccia showed up doing exactly what great bread should do: crisp in the right places, soft where it counts, and impossible to stop tearing apart even when you know your entrée is on deck. The appetizer played a completely different game, more delicate, more refined, and smart enough to leave me wanting the next course instead of filling me up before the main event. That's restraint. That's craft. That's a kitchen that knows what it's doing. And the room matches the food. Clean, classy, polished without feeling stiff. The kind of place where everything from the lighting to the plate placement quietly reminds you that yes, somebody here cares. Service was equally dialed in. Professional, on point, and smooth enough that the whole meal just flowed. No awkward gaps, no disappearing acts, no "how is everything?" drive-bys while your mouth is full. This is the rare restaurant that survives workplace hype and then casually exceeds it. Five stars. Angelena's didn't just meet expectations, it made my coworkers look smarter for recommending it.

He was friendly, outgoing, and helpful in a genuine way. Not one of those annoying, phony, over the top sugary types. Just a great guy serving great food. We both ordered the smashburger of the month, which, Dec 2025 was a double smash burger with arugula, pecan smoked bacon, goat cheese and fig jam. I ordered Cajun spiced onion rings with mine, and my husband got plain French fries with his. Jared recommended their remulade dip that comes with the gator bites to dip our onion rings and fries in, and it was spicy and scrumptious. The burgers were amazing, better than expected. Fries and onion rings were perfect. Crispy and not greasy. Same goes for the bacon on our burgers. No slimy, greasy bacon! It was cooked to a nice crispy texture but not at all burnt and still held that great flavor! The restaurant was decorated for Christmas with Buddy the elf and it looked great. Restrooms are next door shared with the bar and are clean and well kept. Excellent all around. Highly recommend!

The Wednesday before, I called the restaurant and spoke with Louis who is the owner and chef. I explained to him that my girlfriend and I would be dining there on Friday and that I was planning on proposing to her. I asked him if he would help. He said absolutely, "just discreetly give the ring to someone and I'll take care of everything else." When we arrived at the restaurant, Louis greeted us. I had noted on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and he said I see we're celebrating a birthday. My girlfriend said "please. I don't want any cake or anything special" and he said that it would not be a problem. We were seated at a table for two near one of the large windows overlooking the gulf. The restaurant is a beautiful space and our service was spot on. Andrea and Kaitlyn took very good care of us. We split the sea scallop appetizer which was delicious and then shared the Chilean Seabass entrée. It was cooked perfectly, came out hot and was absolutely delicious. After we had eaten, we asked for our check and shortly thereafter, Louis came out with a large plate that had a giant slice of bread pudding on it and a small ring box. He had written will you marry me on the plate in icing.... My girlfriend, now my fiancé was stunned and I think we both cried a little bit (she said yes). It was an experience neither one of us will ever forget and the most special night we have spent together. Louis and the Drift team were absolutely wonderful. Our experience was top-notch and Drift will forever be our special place!! Well, done and heartfelt thanks!
