Food was decent but this is definitely the place to get your po'boy in pensacola! Will defiantly be back

Bbq gulf shrimp appetizer and red beans and rice.

This was some of the best food we had during our visit. It wasn't crowded as most places, the staff was patient and kind, and the air conditioning worked, lol! We wanted to come back before we left but they were closed the next time we were ready to visit them. Very tasty, fresh, and authentic food. My parents both had variations of the sampler (not pictured). I had the bbq shrimp and red beans and rice and I liked them both! We all weren't the biggest fans of the beignets and certainly not the syrup that went with it.

Nice place overlooking Santa Rosa sound. Little sand beach off the back deck. Terrific flavor on the Crawfish Étouffée Eggs Benedict over a couple of fried green tomatoes and bed of fresh spinach leaves. Bloody Mary was pretty darn good as well. All for $26 including 18% tip.

Shrimp and grits very salty that day. Sorry for the bad pic. It was very dark in there.

The look of Nola is very cool and the staff were friendly. The catfish and Poboy were pretty good standard for what they are but the romalaude sauce was excellent. The stuffed fish special was the best thing served that day. The stuffing was excellent. It had crab in it. I ordered the shrimp and grits. While everything seemed to have been prepared well, the grits had a nice texture and the shrimp were also prepared nicely, and the tomato sauce was thick. Unfortunately, the dish was painfully over salted and almost inedible. Hopefully it was just a problem on that day.

Came to Restaurant NOLA with my family during their oyster happy hour, and wow the oysters were…read moreincredibly fresh and the perfect size! I ordered three dozen total one dozen raw, one dozen charbroiled, and one dozen with BBQ sauce. Our party of 25 ended up ordering well over 50 dozen oysters, so they unfortunately ran out before I got a chance to try the BBQ oysters. I was able to enjoy the raw and charbroiled oysters, and I definitely preferred the raw. They were incredibly fresh, briny, and clean tasting. The charbroiled oysters were still good, but cooking them brought out more of the fishy flavor, which just isn't my personal preference. I also tried the shrimp and grits, and they were easily one of my favorite dishes of the meal. They were rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. The crawfish étouffée was just as impressive comforting, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. One thing that really stood out was the service. It's not easy managing a party of 25, especially one ordering over 50 dozen oysters, but the staff handled everything so well. They stayed organized, kept a great attitude throughout the meal, and made sure food and drinks came out as smoothly as possible despite how busy they were. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Between the fresh oysters, delicious food, and attentive service, this is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to the next time I'm in Pensacola.

On Yelp we located this place and thought crawfish sounded great! The problem.....once we arrived we found out they only serve crawfish Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We arrived on Sunday so we missed out. We tried the boudin balls, fried pickles and grilled gumbo salad. The food was fine - fried pickles salty and hot, boudin balls had a more liver taste than we have had in Louisiana but still tasty and the salad was good but pretty basic - romaine with a few tomato wedges, fried okra and grilled shrimp and tiny crawfish tails. All cooked perfectly. The house wine was awful. I would suggest they step it up a notch! Good News - they have a large outdoor seating area and are DOG FRIENDLY.

The remoulade was lick your fingers good. Fire shrimp was a slow sweet burn. Had the Fried oysters and shrimp basket. Cole slaw can sometimes be an after thought. Not here. Great slaw! The red beans and rice had to be at least an all day dish. So good! Took the sweet potatoe and carmel pecan bread pudding to go. Not enough room at dinner. I'd go back!

Do not get…read moretheir seafood gumbo. it's horrible! we spent nearly $50. on 2 qts of some slimy soupy disgusting brown slush. the rice they gave us was under cooked and crunchy. you had to search in the brown slime to find hardly any seafood. supposedly there was some okra in it, you could find a few bits of that. I guarantee there wasn't enough okra to make that mess slimy. I've had the seafood gumbo from Joe Patty seafood restaurant and there is no comparison. That is why we thought we would give this place a chance. Maybe the other food is eatable, can't speak to that. Also, they charge a $4, service charge, we preferred to leave a cash tip in the jar at the register instead of on the CC. Did not expect the service charge, maybe it's written somewhere. If the food hadn't been so disappointing and expensive, we wouldn't have been so offended. Maybe if we had gotten fried fish maybe our review would not be so bad. We definitely do not recommend this restaurant!
