Tournedos Americana. I remember when you used to get three for the same price. But still delicious.

Another great visit to Jacksons Steakhouse. We celebrated Mother's Day and had a fantastic meal there were plenty of leftovers. As always, the servers were fantastic along with the hospitality staff.

We were visiting Pensacola n stopped on New Year's Day for dinner. In the heart of Pensacola across a park. There's street parking n a garage nearby. Nice Modern homely restaurant. Lovely decorated. Friendly welcoming staff. Pricey restaurant. The menu had so many good items. Was a tough choice what to pick, We settled on the blue crab beignets, Cesar salad, French onion soup n gulf coast seafood chowder. When I think of beignets always think of the sweet ones. This was different n delicious . One of a kind. The seafood chowder was good too n so were the French onion soup n Cesar salad. For entrees we picked the long stemmed artichoke, crab cakes, petit filet n open fired gulf grouper. The artichoke was different had sautéed onions n was ok. The crab cakes were tasted so good. The grouper was delicious n v flavorful. The filet v moist n tender n tasted good. We ended our meal w some deserts - chocolate mousse that melts in your mouth , bread pudding w whiskey sauce was sooo good n a different phyllo purse that tasted so good -one of a kind. Thank u for a great meal to start the new year 2026.

Kiwi kiss cocktail & my husbands golden hour. Excellent cocktails!

Jackson's is our new Mastro's. We used to live a handful of miles from Mastro's in Malibu so you can understand the need, the urgency, to find a new local steakhouse. I kid (about the urgency anyway). That was our only local half worthy bar! But now here, we really did seek out a steakhouse and Jackson's fit the bill delightfully. We entered, it was loud, we were lead to the 2nd dining room where we were seated. We were in a 2 top right along the high traffic entry into the 2nd dining room. Which was confusing bc I book through OpenTable a lot so why would you stick me there? You can see I eat out A LOT. But I chalk it up to novice hostesses who instead put the non alcohol drinking teens at the window two tables down from us (hello?! Much lower bill & tip!). BUT it was all up from there. It was chilly in the dining room admittedly. But I should've known better. I liked the decor. Very Southern Steakhouse. Reminiscent of steakhouses in Charleston. White table cloths. Big, rotating menus. Excellent options to add on top of your steak, an array of sauces. Family style sides. Crab cake. Caviar. We had a delicious soup appetizer and the cocktails were outstanding. I rarely drink cocktails but a kiwi kiss? How could I resist! I liked the decor. It had an earthy feel to it. Branch like candelabras, warm hues and tones, a giant hillside scape painting behind the main bar. Pretty. Warm. Welcoming. Our waitress was pleasant. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu. The bread was hot a fantastic. The beef - wonderful. Melt in your mouth. No tomahawk here but really, how frequently does one need to eat a tomahawk! I was thrilled with my medallions and my husband with his rib eye. In the words of my husband "we found another one of our fine dining spots". Yes, we did indeed. And we'll certainly be back. We can't resist an excellent steak and white tablecloth.

We're here in our hometown twice a year and always enjoy a Friday lunch at Jackson's. We love this restaurant for its "old" (not Driftwood, etc. old but recent old, LOL) Pensacola fine dining ambiance here in the heart of downtown. The venue also reminds us of New Orleans with its French windows offering views of bustling Palafox Street on the west side and live oak shaded Plaza Ferdinand just across Zaragoza Street to north. While the kitchen's offerings are not five star in our estimation the food is quite good and enjoyable. The menu is well rounded and interesting, even at this once a week lunch service. Jackson's offers a very nice wine menu and cocktails are always perfectly and generously poured. At lunch, the first Martini is on the house and subsequent Martinis are $10! What's not to love about that?! The service here has never disappointed and today was no exception. Our server, Sophia, was so pleasant, gracious, helpful, and perfectly attentive through-out our meal. She paced the service perfectly. We started with a shared Fried Green Tomato and Jumbo Lump Crab Salad with Bill-E's Smoked bacon, artisanal greens, herb-roasted mushrooms, goat cheese, jumbo lump crab, and a shallot-champagne vinaigrette. This was outstanding! (See pic). A definite do again. However, we did not ask for it be plated separately but the kitchen did and we were nicked for a separate plate charge of $5. For a salad! It would have been good to have been informed of this charge in advance. Anne had the fire grilled grouper and I ordered the French Dip. The grouper was not over cooked but still the flesh was quite dry and the fish did not taste fresh. The French dip was good but not great. Would have enjoyed a much heartier and robust au jus. The skin-on french fries were not at all crisp. Pretty, meh. But we''ll be back Lord willin' and the creek don't rise on a Friday next May or so.

My boyfriend and I love Tuesdays prime rib special and Kyla the bartender made our experience phenomenal. She's so sweet, vibrant, and made sure to check on us with everything we got. We love the atmosphere, service, and food! Everything was great!

There for a company Christmas get together. Staff was amazing! Food was ok but over priced IMHO. Ambiance was wonderful We were treated to nice dinner by my company but over priced m. We both had the Delmonico steak -- not worth the $$$$. Wine was good (Bordeaux) n not too expensive.

Blueberry cheesecake and bread pudding

Emily, Matthew and David made our 35th wedding anniversary one of the best in recent memory. It started out a little rocky with missed info on reservations. Emily got Matthew involved quickly and was resolved in a most excellent way. Great spot for quite comfortable dinner. David was our server who was spot on with suggestions and very attentive service. Attentive but not smothering. The food and drinks were beyond expectation. My wife and the filet medallions and I had the scallops. Both were delicious. We have in the past normally favored Grand Marlin but after tonight's experience we have a new favorite place. Can't recommend them high enough. Ten stars if they were available. Deserts were beyond delicious.

My husband I ate here when visiting Pensacola. I got the NY strip and it was by far the best cooked steak I've ever had. Oysters were amazing. Squash Casserole was amazing. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants. Oh and the many sauce selections is an added bonus. Wonderful!

Love this menu!

Amazing experience, start to finish! Great to be back in Pensacola tonight. The blue crab beignets are the bomb! And the steaks are full of flavor and perfectly cooked. And Kathy is the BEST - truly a memorable experience and one of the very best I've come across in all of our travels. No doubt, this is the spot. We will be back!

I'm going to Jackson's I'm going to order crab Beignets second round Yeah, I'm going to Jackson's Look out Pirate-cola town! Hubby & I LOVE Jackson's! We especially love the Pâte à choux Crab Beignets. The absolute best blue Crab Beignets served with a spicy garlic chili tarter sauce on top of lemon. Sublime. No one makes them better than Jackson's. The steaks are also excellent, we love the filet with the green peppercorn sauce. The best green peppercorn sauce I have ever had. We also LOVE they have a option to make the Caesar salads with real anchovies the traditional way. My Fave. The new greek inspired seasonal salad is also excellent. Should just add it to the menu :).. The Hickory fired wild sockeye salmon is a well thought out dish. A symphony of perfectly balanced flavors. Grilled salmon on top of creamed corn, blistered tomatoes, pickles, capers ohmygosh 2.die.4 :)... One of my top 3 salmon dishes of all time. We got married in a fever Hotter than a pepper sprout We've been talkin' bout Jackson's Ever since our first taste, there ain't no doubt! Every dinner we have had at Jackson's has been impeccable, absolutely perfection. Thanks to their amazing staff, especially Scott. We just adore Scott, can't wait for our next dinner out with Scott! I'm sorry, I want it to be better but every time we come here no matter what dinner entrée I get, it's gross. I had the grouper piccata and it was inedible. The fish stunk like fish, badly. It was stomach turning. The pasta was no better. Some sort of gross lemon flavoring or something, I'm not sure, but after a couple of bites I couldn't eat another bite. $47 in the garbage. To add insult to injury, the prices are stupid high. They also add some BS 3.5% "operational charge". It's minor compared to the price of the food, but it's just a shameless money grab. I'm beyond tired of businesses using COVID era nonsense as an excuse to completely fleece patrons. The prices don't even remotely reflect the quality of the food or the location or the atmosphere. It's in a liquor store for goodness sake.

This is complimented by the large, striking art pieces that occupy the entire wall along the north side of the store. And I'm declaring right now the lovely patio area to be one of the most, if not the most, delightful al fresco dining venues in Pensacola. And right now in early May, the patio is graced with the lovely fragrance of the blooming jasmine vines that adorn the trellises of the patio. Though most of the wines on EHWB's list are unfamiliar to me our lovely, efficient, and attentive server, Nadia, was quite knowledgeable and able to steer us to exactly what we were looking for to accompany the Muffuletta we had our sights on. The list consists of a nice variety of moderately priced wines. And at lunch, there are several wines offered at half off per glass. As we're old timers we shared a half Muffuletta. We could have shared a quarter. LOL. It is large. It is served on a bun that looks like a Gambino's, and may be. The bun seemed rather dry to us, not perfectly fresh, but nonetheless the sandwich was quite good. Loaded with all the traditional ingredients and very enjoyable. Would definitely do again, though for next week we've got the Cuban Press locked in on our radar screen. There are several things on the dinner menu here that are calling out to us so we very well work an evening visit in while here. I'm saying this store is going to a winner and a mighty fine replacement and more here in East Hill for City Grocery.
