We walked in and the 2 cooks - 1 was cooking and 1 was just standing there. I let a few mins go but and asked them where we were supposed to order and they said somebody would be right with us. I noticed 2 guys in the seating area and one had a shirt with the restaurant name on it so I asked them if there was anyone to take our order. 1 guy joked and said we were supposed to do it ourselves and got up and went right to the register and the other guy apologized and packed up his computer and left out the back door. There are only 2 pizza places on the beach side island. We had both on our vacation. We definitely loved this one more. We ate it fresh out of the oven inside the store. They had it all ... pizza, groceries, wine, and more. Not a lot of room but good enough for our family of 5. There was a bit of a wait for our 2 pizzas but I do think it was totally worth it. We ate it ALL!! The spicy Hawaiian was so amazing but with fresh jalapeño on it, get ready for that burn! We took the Hawaiian out of it and left off the pineapple but it was amazing. While visiting Pensacola Beach, we tried this place that had decent reviews... We were greeted upon entering establishment. Asked him if we could get single slice of sausage pizza and the answer was 'no'. Understandable since it's not offered on menu. We ordered a sausage pizza and strolled the aisles of food, wine,beer and small assortment of toys while waiting. Before we knew it we were leaving with our boxed order in hand. Small place on the boardwalk. We did pickup on an x-large Rocky Marciano. It was ready in 20 minutes and the staff was friendly. The crust was fairly thin but not crispy, which I like. It had plenty of seasoning, so it was flavorful. It was definitely lacking on sauce and cheese, which made it a little dry. The pepperoni was plentiful but the other toppings were a little scarce. Ordered about 5 pizzas many different kinds. All were good. The price is a little pricey at $20-26 per pizza (about a medium i would say), but it also isn't a chain and right on the beach. It is semi hidden in the Hampton Inn hotel but we found it. The staff was super great. In hindsight, I would order again as it was enjoyed and everyone even snacked on it the next day into dinner because we ended up ordering too much essentially. I'm torn... We ordered a large pizza and breadsticks. They both were pretty tasty and if it were just based on the food, we would probably give it another shot... but everything was just weird. Let's start off with the location, it's in the Hampton Inn... not weird. What's crazy is that it's down a hallway, right across from two hotel rooms, where you have to wait in hall outside people's doors. Then there's the wait, it took about 40 minutes, which isn't bad for beach pizza, but they said 20... again no big deal, expect that there are about 15 other people waiting to try to figure why their pizza is delayed. And there's not really a counter person. The very patient and kind young man working the counter... who was also the delivery guy... who never could leave for deliveries... was a rock star, even though some people were very impatient and just left their orders. Anyway, maybe they were short staffed or maybe it's just poorly managed, but if you can just be patient and kind and go into knowing it's going to be a bit interesting... you will bring back a good pizza. So, in conclusion... sorry for such a long post... but good pizza, long wait, recommend picking up instead of delivery, and be patient and kind. Enjoy! read more

Beach Local/Native here. We have visited Piazza and also do takeout fairly often. Pros: Pizza is great. Guys working are super personable and will make it as you like it. Choices are unique. Restaurant is clean inside and carries some Souvenir items for tourists. Fire Oven is FIRE! Your pizza will be in and out quick. Service is good. Cons: It's pretty pricey for what you get. There are almost NO drink options. It's soda or some sort of energy drink, small selection of domestic beer and nothing as far as wine, which is much needed when anything italian is involved. That is my number one issue. The interior seating is MEH, no atmosphere but certainly okay for families. The outside seating, four or five outdoor tables in the parking lot that seat four is okay and the music is great - however, our table nor chairs were clean and they are red and we came home with red taffy or bubblegum on pants. Chairs red and sticky stuff red. Unclean is a no-go for me. That was a one time experience though. It's dog friendly and that's a HUGE plus for us. We will continue to visit, hope you increase your beverage selection to add imported beer, craft beer and more wine and will always continue take-out throughout the year. I would recommend this for families looking for unique pizza on the beach (there is no view). For a cheaper alternative with more options, hop over the bridge to Santino's - the best pizza in Gulf Breeze/Beach area by far. Thank you. read more

We ate here twice during our stay in Pensacola Beach, I had peperoni pizza which was good, it was light on sauce which is the way I like it. My wife had the gluten friendly crust with pepperoni and mushroom both times. She said it was in the top three of all pizzas she has had, mine was good but nothing special. They did leave off the mushrooms the second time, when we did carry out so it would have been too much trouble to go back and get it corrected. The pizza is a bit more expensive than most places, but that is kind of the norm for most restaurants on the beach. And drinks are a bottle or can, so no refills. read more
