I finally made it to Sky's Pizza Pie! I called in my order for a large 1/2 pepperoni and pineapple and 1/2 beef and onion along with a slice of cheese pizza. The person taking the order was professional, polite, and helpful. I was told it would be about 30 minutes. I showed up, paid, and waited a couple minutes to pick up my fresh and hot pizza! This gave me a chance to glance around the dining room. It seemed clean and comfortable with a good amount of seating for patrons wishing to dine in. As far as the pizza goes... the size is awesome! The price is right! The pizza could definitely use a little more cheese and toppings. It wasn't nearly as satisfying as it would be if it were just a little more cheesy with a little more meat and other toppings. I'm sure we'll be back! We still are looking for the blue cheese/Gorgonzola cheese upgrade, however we are thrilled the quality of the ham has improved. We ordered the usual 24 inch Pizza with "Ham & bacon" & we found the ham is much better quality & has a much better flavor. Staff has also improved, now much more efficient & engaging service. There was also a lovely lady running around cracking the whip, keeping things running smoothly. The pizza dough here is light & airy. You can see the air holes in the dough & how light it is. This place is ok, the crust was kinda soggy, pizza took about 40mins to arrive at out table, sauce had minimal flavor, and the pizza didn't have enough cheese. If you are in Pensacola maybe find somewhere else to get pizza (a frozen pizza would be about the same price and better tasting)... it was a 5/10 average pizza with slow service and low atmosphere (you are given paper plates to eat your pizza on). After a 2 hour appointment we decided on pizza. We were greeted shortly after entering the building and was told to pick a seat any seat so we did. After a few minutes we had to ask if we had a server and the waitress who was asked yelled across restaurant to the lady that should had already checked with us. It turns out the server I had been watching since we sat at table and I had made eye contact with many times finally came to our table waited on us. The garlic balls were just that (balls of bread). Pizza was ok. It took us almost an hour to get our pizza after ordering. Now that's a ridiculous wait. Especially when the place was not busy and all the business was coming from pick up orders.
