Best pizza ever we've been waiting for a good New York chain to come to Pensacola and finally found the greatest pizza restaurant in town

Driving from Florida to Texas and Yelp landed me here. This is a clean no frills place with two tables for dining in as I did. Not disappointed in the pizza as it had good flavor and the was cooked to perfection. They go pretty light on the cheese so if you like your pizza to create that cheese bridge when you take a bit and pull your hand away you'll want to order extra cheese. Really good crust and tasty pepperoni. Cans of soda only and $2.50 a pop. Ouch. If I could give them their current Yelp rating of 4.3 that's what I'd do. Seems about right. Somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. Would definitely grab take out now and then if I lived near here and have a fountain drink Dr Pepper in my car ready to go. They only offer coke, Diet Coke and sprite as soda options. read more

We cannot say enough good things about this PIZZA.....It is delicious! Foldable slices just like we get Up North! And the CRUST is the perfect thickness (not too thick, not too thin), flavorful and Chewy! But we always order this Pizza with Extra Cheese....because we like it really cheesy! read more

I love their margherita pizza . It's had so much flavor and the crust is the best part along with the olive oil.

Had to try the new pizza on nine mile rd! Will update later tonight! It's New York style so I'm sure it's delicious! Well, it was definitely very above average pizza! All the ingredients were very fresh and the dough was perfectly New York style. The pizza came out hot and we dug in. It was really good. The only thing that wasn't to my liking was the sauce. I prefer a more bold and robust sauce. This was a little plain for my tastes, but you could definitely taste the freshness in that as well. The definitely don't cut corners with their ingredients and that earns an extra star from me. It's a walk up and order type place and no table service to speak of. They have 2 tables to sit at with a total of 8 chairs. I will recommend it because of the freshness of the ingredients and the sauce could be to your liking. Y'all check it out! read more

Honestly some of the best pizza I have had in years. We ordered a 18' House Favorite pizza and it was to die for. The crust was crispy and airy, all of the toppings tasted fresh. The pizza had several burnt pieces from where the dough puffed up and scorched the pizza. How it passed any kind of QC check is beyond me. Second it was the most expensive pizza we have ever bought. The meat lovers pizza was very light on meat so for two pies it was 52 dollars and not worth the money. The dine in experience was fairly scant as well for those looking to dine in. I wanted it to be good but sadly it was not. If you are gonna lay the money, just get Marco's. Plus Marco's has cheesy bread sticks. read more

Lou's Pizza is really good! The crust was thin, crispy and delicious!! We tried another pizza place that opened close to Lou's and that won't happen again! And now they have pizza by the slice!!! Had to try the new pizza place on 9 mile. Lou's pizza, it's a small place with only two tables. So I'm thinking they want to concentrate on carry out! We ordered the 18" with pepperoni and basil. The pizza was good but the size was definitely not 18" but I'm sure the shape of the pie will get better with time. Also they need some dipping sauce for the crust. I'm a pizza snob from the pizza capital of the world- New Haven, CT. I grew up eating the best pizza in the world from Sally's and Pepe's Appiza. Finally the long wait for real New York style pizza in Pensacola is over! This pizza is perfect, flavorful sauce, delicious cheese, and a great chewy foldable crust! We dined in the first time and ordered a pizza for carry out today. The folks are polite and professional and the place is spotless. Very good pie!! Was a hand tossed 14" pie but was skinny in the middle like flat bread. Sauce was fresh and slight tang, mushrooms abundant and cooked as I like them. Pepperoni was the "cupping" kind but not crisp around the edges but good flavor. Had mild sausage and it was very tasty! Crust was thin, nice chew and good crispy edges. Lou's says, "Friendly service," bullshit! Stopped in on Saturday night close to 7:30pm, grabbed a menu and sat down at table. Few moments later, cashier from Lou's approached us and said that we cannot order coz they ran out of dough. She didn't even apologize and her tone of voice was rude and disrespectful. This was our 3rd visit and the pizza is good, but the service was lousy. I give Lou's Pizza a poor review becoz of cashier very poor service and pathetic attitude. read more

Okay...this is my second review of Lou's pizza. First the pizza is still very good pizza. However this time around I paid more attention to the pizza overall as compared to prize. I think Lou's pizza is on the "high-end" when it comes to price$$$!! Yes...I said the pizza was great BUT for the money you should get more toppings and the staff should understand what EXTRA CHEESE actually means!! You can't look at the pizza when I open and show it to you and your response is to read me back my order and not acknowledge that the pizza DID NOT have extra cheese! Also the other toppings were skimpy for such a very large (18 inch) pie! Again...the pizza was still good but not exactly what was expected. Giving them three stars because I've spoken to several friends who have the same complaints! Large price...small topping quantity! Good thing the sauce is pretty darn tasty!! Not much to say s out the facility. Like I said before...this place is built for pickup not dine in but they do have a couple tables if you just want to dine inside. read more

Tonight we decided to check out Lou's Pizza and this is on par with the best pizzas in Pensacola! We tried the House Special cooked well done and it was perfection. Just enough yeast in the dough, the sauce is not herby, too sweet, or overpowering. The crust has a light crunch. The ingredients are perfectly balanced. They know how to make pizza as it should be done. I'm a little sad that the only way to really get and enjoy this beautiful thing is calling in at least an hour ahead-and picking it up yourself. Just so you know, this is a tiny mom and pop place, not a sit down restaurant. There are maybe 3 tables. But they can easily compete with the best of Pensacola, yet they limit themselves. I hope that one day this will change and they will be able to keep up with the demand they would receive and deserve. I'm so picky about pizza and I really hope they will stay around for a long time to come! read more

I called in a 18 inch pepperoni with green peepers and black olives. Was told by a young lady it woild be 30-35 mins, so i'm only 15 min away so i left. Got there and waited in my truck and extra 10 mins went in an she handed me the pizza, 30 bucks and 15 percent for her handing it to me. Got home in 15 min opened it up looked ok (i did order crispy) pulled a slice....cold....Instant 90 degree flop towards the floor zero structure at all...not happy for 35 bucks. Greasy and hard to eat as it was a total two handed slice. Only thing crispy was the crust. Second slice was so cold and floppy it went it my toaster oven to heat it up and try to tighten it up. Pretty P.O. by now for the money etc. The rest of the 35 dollar pie is in my freezer if i get desparate, Back to Skys for me 10 bucks cheaper for same pie and reliable what your in for. read more

Called Lou's Pizza on a whim yesterday while running errands and ran out of time to cook. For the first time in many years, I went into this without looking at Yelp or any other online resources. I spoke to Brian and ordered 2 large extra cheese, 2 large pepperoni, and a Hawaiian. Brian was very courteous and patient with me. She verified what I wanted and when I asked if there was anything else I should try, she suggested a meatball pizza with fresh basil and only parmesan cheese, no mozz. I don't know what they call this pizza but I couldn't suggest it more. All the pizza's were perfectly cooked, made within the time they estimated, and the restaurant had that small, family owned feel that you want to see in a locally owned spot. I'll be back very soon. Based on the sarcastic way the gentleman repeated Brian's name when I called her that in person, I'm guessing I misheard her name but she didn't correct me so I'm rolling with it.
