Here was the timeframe: Monday morning around 8:30 my car wouldn't start. I spent about 20 mins doing research on a comparable and less expensive new car battery. I called around 9 and asked if they could replace my battery. They said sure, come on it we can do it right away. I got there around 10. The very nice gentleman came right out immediately, changed the battery in 111 degree weather and I was out of Advance Auto Part and heading home by 10:25. I highly recommend giving this guys a visit you need your car battery replaced.

For me, the real experience of AutoZone is the people behind the counters. More often than not, they seem to be genuinely friendly people who know about cars. My experience has been that 99% of the people that work there are kind, courteous, and friendly. The rest are just perfunctory. And by that I mean don't really get any kind of emotion out of them other than they're doing their job. Which is fine, because all I'm doing is getting in there to get something that my car needs. It doesn't have to be like Chick-fil-A where it's. Thank you and my pleasure. That being said, this particular AutoZone ranks a solid. 3. It was neither a pleasant nor unpleasant experience, so it landed right in the middle. The guy at the counter called me boss, which always makes me laugh when you don't want to say sir. Interesting experience at this Auto Zone…read more I lightly scuffed up my front right exterior and was looking for a scratch repair kit. The place had good traffic as two girls were being helped and then a father and a child came in looking for something. And another guy buying some cleaning product. I wandered around for a bit and then located the Turtle Wax scratch repair gel and also some microfiber sponges. Cashier rung me up quickly. As I was walking out, I saw a detailing wipe and thought maybe this might help get the scratch out. And this is when it got funny because the cashier couldn't offer any advice but decided to start guessing my ethnicity. And I was like rolling my eyes internally and thinking to myself, "I guess this is guess Vivian's ethnicity day." You dont know how many times in my life I get this and it gets super annoying after 49 years of this. One day, Im just gonna tell people to stuff it honestly. Or, better yet, start guessing back their ethnicity too. I think I watched a fun video recently showing the absurdity of it. So, his first guess is, "Korean." Nope, buddy, try again. He then says, "Oh, you're not fair skinned enough." And that was pretty annoying too. And at this point, I am like, "I get Korean a lot, but, nice try, you're wrong." He then tries again, and says, "Japanese." And I am like, "nope, you're wrong again." At this point, thank goodness, his coworker comes to help me. I ask should I try the detailing wipe, it looks promising! He says if you're vehicle is here, let's go take a look. And I said yes! And was so relieved to stop playing guess my ethnicity game and get some real help! So, we go out together and he takes a look at my scratch and then he says, "you could just get someone to buff it for you." And then also says, try the Turtle Wax you bought, that should work. Detailing wipe won't be helpful. At this point, I thanked the guy and then said to him, go tell your buddy in there, "I'm Chinese." I also wanted to add, "and you're an idiot," but I stopped myself. When anyone walks into one of these places they generally have a problem on their hands and are trying to fix something, or that's the only reason that's ever taken me into an auto parts store. Anyways this time stood out a more than any experience at any store in my life. I'm not going to go into the details of the problem but I'm going to tell you that right when I ran into a gentleman by the name of Mario the first thing he said is okay follow me we are going to figure this out. It was that last part "we are going to figure this out". For the first time I felt so comfortable because now I had Mario on my team and we were going to fix my problem and figure it out. Mario and I sat there in and trouble shot the problem, trying bolt after bolt. His sole focus was on me, getting that brake caliper back on and fixing my problem. He even lent me the tools to complete the repair. All I can say is it was hands down by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had at ANY store that I went to go and fix something. I asked to speak to his manager, Brian (which was very pleasant as well) and Brian gave me a response of, I hear it all the time about Mario. Thank you Mario for having my back and fixing that problem with me. You really made my ride safer on the way home and earned a customer for life.

I used Gemini to specifically find an auto parts store near me that was known for helping with the install. Gemini said NAPA was the only one that did this. I went to NAPA but they said no. O'Reilly was 350 feet away so I went there. Evan looked up the part, I paid the $9, he put some gloves on and came out to my car. The process turned out to be more complicated than expected but Evan didn't show the least bit of annoyance or frustration. To make matters worse, when he finally got to the burned out bulb he discovered that the part he sold me was not in fact the correct one. This was not his fault; he retrieved whatever part the computer identified. He returned with a compatible bulb and I was on my way!

They were so old that all the caked in dirt had sort of fused them. Peter was able to unclip them without breaking the arm and successfully replaced them. He was immediately able to help me with my warranty and even exchanged the old battery for the new one. In the process, he helped me find and add a new bolt to stabilize the battery as I hadn't realized one of them was missing to keep the battery from moving. He was quick, friendly, efficient and professional. Great staff and service!
