Found Mach 1 Automotive on Yelp and reviews were excellent. Called in to have AC checked on Son's car. Have been using dealership and that gets pretty pricy. Spoke with Dean and brought the car in. Within 20 minutes, they confirmed a condenser leak. They quoted a price including parts labor and refrigerant and slam bam I was out within a couple of hours with cold air. I brought my Nissan pickup to Mach-1 Automotive because I was hearing an intermittent scraping sound. While it was on the lift, Greg (service writer) should me that the driveshaft carrier bearing was worn out, he felt that was the cause of the noise. I was given a price and then gave the okay to replace it. Driving home after the repair, I felt an awful vibration above 40mph. Once I was home, I slid under my truck and found (first picture). I knew that wasn't right! I brought it back the next morning and showed Greg the picture, and he agreed. So they replaced it again, (second picture). Driving home, this time I felt a vibration between 30-40mph. I brought it back again and I tried to get Greg to take a ride with me so he can see for himself, but he wanted the mechanic to go instead, the same one that didn't think there was a problem after installing the first bearing. I brought it to a shop that only does driveshafts, they told me that you need to be very careful with driveshafts because they can be damaged quite easily. He showed me some marks on it where it looked like it was placed into a vise. Unfortunately, he didn't have the attachment that would fit my model Nissan in order to test it. So, he advised me I'd be better off to buy a new driveshaft, (I didn't purchase it from them so they had nothing to gain). I also had to purchase and replaced the six bolts that attach the driveshaft to the differential because the Mach-1 mechanic thought 9/16 are the same as 14mm. I am unable to prove that they damaged the driveshaft, but the least they could have done is refund what I paid them since everything they did is now in the city dump, or hopefully in a recycle bin. read more

Today we stopped in at your store without an appointment with our 94 Bronco because we needed a seatbelt part replaced. Greg came out right away from the back office to greet me with a smile and attitude of service. I explained what I needed and he offered to come look at it without me having to ask him to. He saw that it was just easy bolt off, bolt on and recognized that I had been driving without a seatbelt. He grabbed his impact and came back right away. We weren't even there for maybe 10 minutes. Complete disappoint in my purchase. Bought a 2009 Jeep Cherokee here in April. Driving off the lot we got multiple codes. The warranty that was sold is a scam too. We too the vehicle back so they could address the problem the next day. Nothing was done except resetting the codes. They told me they looked it over and it was fine. My mechanic looked it over it had a broken fuel injector rail with bolts busted off in the head. Lying salesmen who will tell you anything to sell a car. Buyer Beware find a different place to shop. You will get nothing but bullshit here. Still making repairs on the lemon they sold me I am know $2000 deep in repairs and still going. Shitty sales, and beware of mechanics. Only place I trust with my cars. For years I refused to go to a mechanic. In the past anyone I would go to, I'd be back the following week because something else was wrong. I swear that they messed with other parts to make me a "repeat" customer. Not sure if that is true, but certainly how I had always felt. So much so that I made my husband learn how to work on cars- which he HATED!! Being the wonderful man he is, he would though and surprise surprise no issue the week after he would fix things! About a year and a half ago there was an air conditioning issue we had with a car we had recently purchased. My husband had tried using the can of coolant, but something happened and a piece of the spray can got logged in one of the a/c "tubes". I took the car to 3 shops- all quoting me to replace the entire unit. I saw Mach 1 one day, their sign said air conditioning. I stopped in, talked to Greg and explained the situation. He said they'd take a look and let me know what could be done. His team sucked the part out of the tube and I walked away with paying minimal labor!! He could have just as easily tried telling me the same thing the other shops did, but instead he wanted to fix the problem without gouging me with unnecessary and unneeded repairs. Since then we have been back a few times for different things. Each time an honest answer, honest feedback on what we should do, and a fair price! I even started bring my car for oil changes here because I really do trust the shop and their work- hard to find these days! I wouldn't normally think to leave a yelp review for a mechanic, but as I sat here today waiting for my car to be repaired, a man walked in and handed Greg some money. Yesterday I went to Sun Devil Auto due to a burned out headlight. They told me changing the bulb on my car was no easy task and it would take .8 hr. The estimate I was quoted was $140. Since I am 70 and retired I could not afford that and I left. I went to Mach one where the owner Greg changed the bulb in 2 minutes while I waited. He only charged me for the bulb-no labor. He said "no labor- it took 2 minutes. I went back to Sun Devil and a second mechanic showed me on their computer that $140 is the company charge! Wow! Just sayin- it was a 2 minute job. I left my truck with Greg to have the engine tuned. While it was in their shop, someone cut out the Catalytic Converter and most of the exhaust system. They also stole the oil dipstick and tube. It took them 2 weeks to "fix" the truck. Greg's father insisted I should pay to replace the stolen parts as well as the "tune up". We finally settled on me paying for the tune up and half the parts for the Cat Converter and welding up the exhaust. When I picked up the truck, after paying almost $800.00, the truck barely ran, back-fired and leaked exhaust. Bottom line: I payed nearly $800.00 for new spark plugs and for Mach One to ruin my engine, replace stolen parts with garbage and Greg's father to call me names. Greg is personable, but has not authority. His father is in my opinion, basically dishonest and a cheapskate who knows very little about either business or mechanics. Stay away. read more

Greg and his mechanics are the best. I was getting ready to part out my car because I was told that the knocking was a bad rod. I saw this shop and thought I would stop in and see what they thought. Greg came out and listened to it and right away said it was an exhaust leak. After reading all the positive reviews for Mach 1, I trusted him and left my car there that night. He was right and my car sounds and runs great, this is where I will be taking my car from now on. I bought this Corvette 10 years ago and have not found anyone that knew how to work one until now.
