I first used Mighty back in the early 90s when I put a Chevy crate motor in a Jeep Comanche. They did an incredible job building a custom dual exhaust. I recently brought my wife's car in when she hit something on the freeway. They have always done great work at a very affordable price. I NOW do not recommend this place to the highest degree. Bait and Switch "honest quote, "if I did your muffler for $200 We would slap it on there, if We did it for $300 We would make sure it's done correctly" are you serious? So your quality is determined by price? My experience with Mighty muffler has been long and true. I have done my research and have found cheaper prices at other shops. I chose to go back to them due to no issues in the past installs. I owned a year, 17,18, 19, Toyota Tundra that I had muffler swapped By mighty muffler. I recently upgraded to a 2021 Toyota Tundra and brought it to Might muffler. I spoke with owner Greg over the phone to set up appointment. I was told parts and install was $200. I waited 4 days to get work done and drove 30min. and upon timely arrival, they were finishing up with another client. I spent 20min waiting while owner Greg spent 10min looking at Craigslist ads. (See excuse later) Once my truck was good to go owner Greg pulled it onto lift, Greg came to me and said the tundra is a "duel Inlet and single outlet"...duhhh which it's been since 2007" he told me the cost was now $300 not $200 for the job cause he didnt know a tundra was like that. Lol Tundra only been the same for 14 years of production.... (Remind you, he was on Craigslist and could have checked to see my situation and truck while other client finished) I reminded him that the truck he swapped mufflers on the last 3 years in a row was $200 each also. I confronted him and said this is my 4th tundra I have brought to you out of repeat courtesy and OVER THE PHONE YOU TOLD ME $200. He said it wasn't his problem. "I began to say so it's my problem YOU the owner miss quoted the price On the phone and can't stand up to it? he said he will not move on his price. He goes on to tell me he lied over the phone cause he thought my truck was single inlet and single outlet 4 cylinder." he blatantly asked on the phone what type of truck it was.. Really? All and all I don't know him personally and he doesnt know or remember me but with a repeating customer I would expect more respect and for a MAN to follow his word. We fought over $100 and I even asked him to meet me in the middle at $250 and it was a No. "honest quote, "if I did your muffler for $200 We would slap it on there, if We did it for $300 We would make sure it's done correctly" are you serious? 7/25/12 Went to Mighty Muf'ler based off other Yelp reviews. Greg was excellent! Went in with some noise problems and he took a look right then and there. Didn't have the part on hand but was getting some in after the weekend, said the repair would be about a buck and quarter. A few days later I called to see if I could stop in and he had everything ready to go in just over an hour. The quote was accurate and he even did some extra welding where he saw it needed to be done. Very friendly, I would highly recommend. 9/12/14 Back again, I needed a new muffler this time. I was in and out pretty quickly and as before, Greg was great to work with. He's got a great personality and good sense of humor to boot. What a great place!! I was having muffler and exhaust problems (my civic sounded like a chopper), so I took it to a large chain auto shop, they said they didn't wanna risk touching my car, since they don't specialize in mufflers. They recommended mighty muf'ler. After a day @ their shop I get a call saying my car is ready. I'm expecting to pay upwards of $500, but the man at the shop said he didn't want me to pay for what I don't need, and that he would just patch up what needed patching. $25 later, my car sounds like new!! great place, and very friendly!! read more

My auto service shop noticed an minor header exhaust leak in our Titan and recommended Mighty Muffler if I wanted an another opinion before spending $2,500 for the OEM replacement. (The header and front catalytic converter with sensors is one expensive unit). I arrived without an appointment and Greg and his assistant got the truck up on the rack after helping a customer ahead of me. They determined there was a minor leak and recommended it was not worth replacing at this time; no safety issue and it may not get any worse. They were friendly and helpful and did not charge me anything for their time. They just asked that I come back to them if I need help in the future. They also treated the customer ahead of me with the same care and offered an affordable solution to his muffler issue. I wish more businesses were like Mighty Muffler. read more

Based on a recommendation of a co-worker I went mighty muffler for a noisy muffler, they looked at it and told me that although the exhaust system looked awful (from Midwest salt-induced rust) that it was fine and what I really needed was a motor mount. This place is a throwback place, looks like the garages of the 1940s, but they are as honest as the day is long, and only sell you what you need...at fair prices. Looks can be deceiving, don't let the outward appearance flavor your judgement; give them a chance, you'll be glad you did! read more

It's not often that you find honesty, integrity, and quality in the auto repair business, but Mighty Muffler folks are all of those things. I called them to see what kind of mufflers they stocked for my 2004 Corvette. The owner was honest and told me he didn't stock them and I could get them cheaper by ordering them myself on the Internet. He said he would be glad to install them for me and he allowed me to have them shipped directly to his shop. He stored them for me and installed them for the quoted price. He modified some aftermarket parts on the car to assure a perfect fit at no extra cost and sent me happily on my way with a corvette that emits a deep throaty muscle car sound. I left my truck in a Greenbeeparking.com long term lot behind a Howard Johnsons (don't do that!) and some slug cut out a foot of exhaust pipe to steal the catalytic converter which Greg says they sell for $30. 2001 Tundra. I need to be in Oregon tomorrow. Greg says he'll be done with the welding and replacement in a hour while I wait. $380 and I'm back in business. I've never kept a car more than 2-3 years and never needed repairs. My current car has low mileage, looks like new but is 11 years old. I am learning fast about car repairs. I have only lived here for 8 months in central Phoenix and have needed minimal repairs. When my exhaust system started to rattle and made a deep throaty noise I feared the worst, a big bill. I could tell the muffler was sound but the issue was further in. I took the auto to a local well rated ( in Yelp) national franchised shop. The mechanic told me indeed it was not the muffler but all the brackets and piping upto the manifold needed replacement for $250. He already put the car down off the lift so I could not see it. I declined and went to Fry's. There I put down a towel, went under the side to look. An elderly man came up to see if I was having a problem. I explained what happened and he immediately told me to go to Gene at Mighty Muf'ler who was an honest local business. I went there, Gene immediately put the car on the lift, immediately diagnosed it was a rusted hangar clip, he fixed it, shaved away the connections on the connecting pipes and charged me $30. In this day and age to have an honest professional, I reccomend him highly. Even if it was more expensive, he took me underneath and showed me exactly the issue. read more
