Big menu, lots of combination plates, standard American fair on entries and soups (chow meins, and breaded chicken dishes) - nothing fancy, but they do have double cook pork which I like. I always get my food here carryout or delivery but the food is consistently good. The crab rangoon are yummy, and my favorite is the sweet and sour chicken. If you are a fan of sesame chicken, I'd say it's below average here. Everything else I've tasted, sweet and sour shrimp, orange chicken, general Tso's were pretty good. I've had a couple bad experiences with extremely rude delivery drivers, but I try to get carryout most of the time. The waitstaff is very pleasant and helpful. They will help you customize your meal, if needed, and they don't use MSG. It's definitely not the best Chinese food I've eaten, but it's definitely above average for THIS area. There are at least 3 other Chinese food places in a 1 mile radius... I'd recommend that you skip those and come here. read more

Delivered within 20 minutes in middle of a snow storm. Nice and hot. Food was pretty good. My only concern was that it appeared an adult was having a young child (maybe 12-14 years old?) take the food to the door while someone waited in the vehicle. That seemed very weird to me. I dropped by few nights ago for some basic asian snack. I ordered a vegetarian egg roll, a small egg drop soup, and a small vegetable fried rice. There was a young white blonde gal taking phone calls and that darn phone barely stopped more than a minute the entire time I waited for my simple take out order. There was one table of people eating - looked like 6 or 7 people. While I was waiting, at least 6 more people walked in to get carry out orders. I think I must of waited over 20 mins for what shouldn't of taken more than 10 mins. Looking over their menu is almost like reading something a kid wrote - tons of spelling mistakes, errors, misprints. I was tempted to ask what some of the items were, but that poor lady was constantly on the phone taking orders. the blonde white 20 something gal had to step away for something, and Eventually some older chinese lady came out with my order and handed it to me and walked off within 2 seconds flat. If I was an asshole, I could of left and not paid,and no one would of noticed... but I believe in Karma, so I waited till the old chinese lady came back, and I told her, that the other gal hadn't taken my money. No wonder they have the blonde white girl on the front counter and phones, the old chinese lady seemed to have no clue how to ring me up or run the cash register. When I got to home, I discovered the egg roll had some sort of weird meat in it - it definitely wasn't vegetarian. As I am allergic to shellfish I tossed the egg roll, as I had no way to identify the meat product. The egg drop soup was barely warm and gluey, gross. Pretty bad and hard to resurrect into an edible food - I could barely choke it down, even after reheating in microwave and grinding some fresh cracked black peppercorn for flavor. The alleged soup chips were strips of some sort of fried cracker that might of been made last week. Ate one and threw the rest away. The only saving grace was the small vegetable fried rice. Although I am always leery of Chinese Fried Rice that is awash with Peas & Carrots, this stuff tasted fresh and was still hot. Lots of chunks of fresh cooked veg - broccoli florets, peapods, onion, bean sprout. The rice itself was bland, they don't use a lot of soy sauce to stir fry it, which I normally prefer. Some fresh ground seasonings and japanese 7 pepper spice helped me out. It's generally a bad vibe when I have to re-season and re-heat asian carryout. Not sure I'd want to dine in there at lunch or dinner. I read they do delivery but no farther than 4 miles. And according to their online map, even though I live in Novi, I am about 4.5 miles away. Too far for delivery. Which is probably a good thing. read more

Best Chinese food around...and they deliver! I've introduced a few people to this little gem and they've all loved it. General Tso chicken is delicious and I get the dumplings every time (dumpling sauce-delicious). Since I moved to this area, I always drove the 15 minutes to my old chinese spot by my old house because they had that one dish that i LOVED, Chicken with Garlic (Red) Sauce and no veggies... I always got flyers from Royal Wall, but never went. One night, I decided to go for it. I called an order, Garlic chicken with white rice, and picked it up about 20 minutes later. Mind you, we both (gentleman that answered and myself) repeated the order at least 3 times. As I paid, I opened the bag to check it before I left. It ended up being Curry Chicken instead. I told him it should've been Garlic Chicken with no veggies. He quickly apologized and had the cook make me a new one.. Only took about 10 minutes. No biggie for me since I wasn't in a rush.. Ordered the garlic chicken a week ago and it was really really good. No complaints when I picked it up. Still, I'm giving it a 4-star review because I haven't tried much from the menu yet. PS the other place I used to go to would throw in an Egg Roll with your meal.. This place does not, even though their prices are pretty much identical. read more

If you have an idea to go out to eat with family and see royal wall don't bother!!! The shittiest food I've ever had! My spicy chicken wasn't even cooked to an edible condition, my rice was completely burnt, if you wanted soda it was watered down, couldn't even notice it was soda. The service was ok, menus looked like a 4 year old made them! I would not recommend using the bathroom there because the toilet paper was tapped to the wall! Had sweet and sour chicken for lunch. Price was good but food was only so so. Don't plan on returning.

Tried this place tonight, was not impressed. Restaurant was very cold temp wise, the hot tea helped. My egg drop soup was luke warm , tasted ok. I ordered almond chicken and it was very bland, the batter they use was not appealing at all. My husband ordered general tso's chicken he rated it a 3 out of 10, glad he ordered it spicy so it had something that resembled some flavor. Needless to say we will not be returning. I tried the Chinese food when they first opened and didn't care for it. But recently, I got their Pad Thai and it was delicious!

I've eaten at most of the Chinese restaurants in this area and find the portions here are very generous, quality quite good and price very reasonable. That puts it at the top of my local Chinese restaurant list. read more

Remarkably nice, with some caveats. We wandered in after visiting the Secretary of State office next door... and saw a large fish tank with lovely largish goldfish in it. The restaurant is old-style, American Chinese, with decor to match, seemed a bit run down. The man who was on the front desk and also took our order seemed to have limited English but was quite nice. The menus were dirty... sticky and mine had a lemon seed stuck to it... which made us a bit nervous... Prices were very good and food was surprisingly good. I had Kung Pao Chicken, the chicken seemed fresh and tasty, veggies nicely cooked, sauce very tasty, soy based and balanced. The fried rice was bland but pleasant, not too salty or oily. The egg roll was mostly cabbage, but again well cooked. The wonton soup had pleasant broth, but clunky, somewhat undercooked wontons, and no veggies except a few bits of scallion. My husband had the moo shu veggies, which he liked, and we paid $1 extra for a very full bowl of brown rice, which was fluffy and nutty, and he loved. read more
